Ritter Danny A. Ritter, 68, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Keith Wiseman, Methodist minister from Lubbock, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Ritter was born in Carson County. He moved to Amarillo when he was a child. He attended Amarillo schools and graduated from Amarillo High School. He attended New Mexico Military Institute for two years and graduated from Texas Tech University. He married Sandra Shane in 1956 at Amarillo. He was the owner of R&S Supply Inc. He was a longtime member of the American Business Club and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jan Adams of Amarillo; two sons, Dr. Timothy Ritter of Coppell and Mike Ritter of Amarillo; two sisters, Billie McCoy of Zanesville, Ohio, and Margaret Brownfield of Moberly, Mo.; two brothers, Keith Ritter of Amarillo and George Ritter of Hereford; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, the American Cancer Society or the Living Endowment of the American Business Club. Efrain Rodriguez Efrain Rodriguez, 66, of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 6, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Life Outreach. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He had lived in Amarillo for the past two years. He was a laborer and a member of the Spanish New Life Temple. He married Lucresia Hernandez in 1955 at Mexico. Survivors include his wife; a son, Martin Rodriguez of Mexico; six daughters, Maria Dolores, Carmen Olivio, Maria Tereza, Luz Maria, Blanca Guadalupe and Socorro Aide, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Maria and Aurora, both of Mexico; a brother, Trinidad Rodriguez of Mexico; and 11 grandchildren. Karolina Weaver Karolina "Ninny'' Weaver, 68, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mrs. Weaver was born in Dilleshausen, Germany. She was the war bride of James R. Weaver. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Helsley of Amarillo and Ursula Piper of Redford, Mich.; a son, James Weaver of Catoosa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing this evening. James Garnett White James Garnett White, 69, of 808 N. Roosevelt St., died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with the Rev. Allen Norris of Grand Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East. Mr. White was born in Atoka, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 39 years. He was a self-employed truck driver. He served in the Army and Navy for 15 years and served in the Korean War. He was a Baptist. He married Marie Giblet in 1958 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Almanza of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Helen Russ of Rocky, Okla., and Sharon Salter of Hobart, Okla.; a brother, L.D. White of Canute, Okla.; and two grandchildren. The family will be at 808 N. Roosevelt St. Elsewhere Irene Hardiman Hatchett FORT WORTH - Irene Hardiman Hatchett, 91, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery by Shannon North Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Hatchett was born in Grant County, Okla. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist High Academy in 1923 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1927 from Oklahoma Baptist University. She earned a master of religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1941. She married Earl W. Hatchett in 1926. He died in 1994. She was a homemaker and helped serve with her husband in pastorates in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. She was a member of the Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Donnis D. Hatchett of Fort Worth and Donald R. Hatchett of Harrah, Okla.; two daughters, Linda K. Tidwell of Keller and Avis Brock of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Shannon North Funeral Chapel. Oklahoma Lois Nellie Campbell ELMWOOD, Okla. - Lois Nellie Campbell, 73, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with LaRon Branson officiating. Call the funeral home for the location of services. Burial will be in Capital View Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mrs. Campbell was born in Beaver and had been a Beaver County resident all of her life. She was a high school graduate and a homemaker. She married Leslie Campbell in 1941 at Beaver. She had been a member of a nondenominational church since 1946. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Carl Campbell of Perryton, Texas, Calvin Campbell of Anadarko and Max Campbell of Fairland; a brother, Turl Gray of Beaver; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. New Mexico Robert Shuler Donelson CLAYTON, N.M. - Robert Shuler Donelson, 82, died Sunday, April 6, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Stratford Cemetery at Stratford, Texas, by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Donelson was born in Colorado City, Texas. He married Gertrude Louise Reed in 1936 at Clayton. He was a 1934 graduate of Stratford High School. He attended New Mexico A&M, which is now New Mexico State University, and started on the freshman football team. He lived in Stratford from 1922 to 1964. Since 1964 he had ranched north of Clayton. He was a longtime Angus breeder and a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bob Reed Donelson of Clayton; a daughter, Sheila Cates of Amarillo; and a sister, Bess Wherry of Mineola. Virginia Wadlington GLADSTONE, N.M. - Virginia Wadlington, 72, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gladstone Community Center with the Rev. Ron Wilson, pastor of First Christian Church in Elkhart, Kan., officiating. Burial will be in Gladstone Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mrs. Wadlington was born in Springer. She attended school in the Wheatland and Farley communities. She married Albert Sidney Wadlington in 1940 at Raton. He died in 1985. She was a resident of Gladstone for 61/2 years and a longtime resident of the Farley community. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Wadlington. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Wadlington of Elkhart and Jack Wadlington of Texline, Texas; two sisters, Julia Fesler of Albuquerque and Margarette Grason of Lancaster, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Gladstone Community Center, Gladstone, N.M. 88422. Area Lee Roy Capps Jr. BOVINA - Lee Roy Capps Jr., 75, died Friday, April 4, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bovina Church of Christ with Cecil Bunch of Clovis, N.M., and Alfred White of Claude officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace Cemetery at Farwell. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Capps was born in Grossback County. He married Millie Marie Young in 1946 at Littlefield. He was a member and deacon of the Bovina Church of Christ. He had lived in Parmer County since 1956, moving from Lamb County. He farmed in the Sudan, Friona and Farwell areas for 50 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982 and a son, Roy Craig Capps, in 1997. Survivors include a son, Gary Capps of Panhandle; a sister, Hazel New of Farwell; and two grandchildren. Roy Lash Mitchell STRATFORD - Roy Lash Mitchell, 78, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with Dr. Syd Carns, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Mitchell was born in Campo, Colo. He had been a Stratford and Sherman County resident all of his life. He was a cowboy and a rancher. He married Bonnie Bartlett in 1940. She died in 1989. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Christian Church, the Sherman County Older Texans Association, the Matador Cowboy Association of Channing and the Rodeo Cowboys Association. Survivors include two daughters, Judi Boren of Houston and Gail Allen of Stratford; a special friend, Dorothy Robbins of Stratford; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Ray White DIMMITT - Ray White, 43, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Edgar Dennis and Butch Boydston, friends, officiating. Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. White was born in Franklin, Tenn., and moved to Dimmitt in 1975. He married Susie Mooney in 1986 at Dimmitt. He was a cowboy and had a feedyard south of Dimmitt for many years. He was a member of Cowboys for Christ in Hereford. Survivors include his wife; a son, Cody Ray White of Hereford; a stepson, Caleb Bell of Lubbock; a daughter, Candy White of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Kacie Bell of Dimmitt; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley White of Flat Creek, Tenn.; a brother, Reed White of Flat Creek; two sisters, Marion Newcomb of Flat Creek and Linda St. Claire of Taos, N.M.; and a grandchild. Katie Gasaway DUMAS - Katie Gasaway, 93, died Saturday, April 5, 1997. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Scott Willingham, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gasaway was born in Fox, Okla. She had been a Dumas resident since 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Elmer Gasaway in 1922 at Tishomingo, Okla. He died in 1963. Survivors include three daughters, Billie J. Brown of Dumas, Judith K. Herron of Phoenix and Thayliah Hisle of Ada, Okla.; a son, Gene Lucas of New York City; a brother, Thomas B. Selby of Wilburton, Okla.; three sisters, Alyce Carver and Pearl Baggett, both of Oklahoma City, and Marye Frost of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Veda Fern Lackey PERRYTON - Veda "Grannie'' Fern Lackey, 79, died Sunday, April 6, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Waka Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Martin Gauby officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree County Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mrs. Lackey was born in Shattuck, Okla. She was raised in Ochiltree County and attended the Lone Tree country school. She then attended Perryton High school and graduated in 1936. She married E.V. "Dutch'' Lackey in 1938 at Guymon, Okla. They made their home in Old Ochiltree, where they were engaged in farming and ranching until moving to Perryton. They later moved to Amarillo and retired. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Lackey moved to Gruver. She moved back to Perryton in 1987. She was a member of First Christian Church of Perryton. Survivors include a son, Larry Lackey of Perryton; five brothers, Arleigh Schwab of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Harlan Schwab of Plainview, Erle Schwab of Shallowater, Billy Schwab of Calimesa, Calif., and Ray Schwab of Darrouzett; two sisters, Gladys Shute of Reno, Nev., and Bessie Mitchell of Calimesa; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.
