Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Robison Chapel of the Plains at First Christian Church with the Rev. Michael K. Richter, associate minister, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Melton was born in Baylor County. She attended First Christian Church, were she was a member of the Loyalty Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. "Dutch'' Melton, in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Yates and Peggy Sherrod, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Lena Pruitt and Belle Brazil, both of Mineral Wells; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Christian Church or favorite charities. Earline Shannon Earline Shannon, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Shannon was born in Anson. She came to Amarillo in 1983, from Norwalk, Calif. She had been a homemaker for most of her life. She married John B. Shannon in 1940 at Olton. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jerry Shannon of Las Vegas, and Johnnie Shannon of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Tessa ShyKaren Hamilton Tessa ShyKaren Hamilton, 21/2, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 4, 1997. Private graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rick D. Mathis, minister, officiating. Arrangement are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 E. Ninth Ave. Tessa was born in Amarillo. She was a Christmas baby. Survivors include her parents, Heidi and Larry Hamilton Jr. of Amarillo; a sister, Catrina Casey; a brother, Daniel Warlick; her paternal grandparents, Larry and Karen Hamilton of Amarillo; her maternal grandparents, Cecilia House and James Russell of Amarillo; and two great grandmothers, Gerry Sperling of Amarillo, and Mary Jane Householder of Arkansas. The body will not be available for viewing. Bobby Dwain Milligan Bobby Dwain Milligan, 62, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Payne, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Milligan was born in Jester, Okla. He moved to Amarillo at an early age. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1953. He had served in the Navy. He also attended Amarillo College. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from West Texas State University. He had worked at Pantex for 28 years. He was a charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. He married Lynn Jolly in 1968 at Lockney. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Andy and Aaron Milligan of Amarillo; a brother, Ron Milligan of Chandler; a sister, Jenell Baird of Amarillo; his mother, Cora Hite of Amarillo; and four nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be to Coulter Road Baptist Church. The body will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Canyon Sondra Lacy Williams Sondra Lacy Williams, 33, of Canyon, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. today in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon. Mrs. Williams was born in Seagraves. She was active in Canyon Hills Church of Christ. She married Glenn Williams in 1996 at Copperas Cove. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jessica Williams of the home; a son, Daniel Williams of the home; her parents, Don and Ava Lacy of Canyon; two sisters, Danae' Bush of Lubbock, and Tabitha Lacy of Richardson; her grandparents, Vivian Lacy of Groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Meadows of Houston. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Greenlawn Church of Christ with the Rev. Claudio Chisholm and Dr. Ken Rhodes officiating. Arrangements are by White Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Simpson was born in Colorado City. He attended school in Colorado City. He also attended Lubbock Christian College, Abilene Christian College and Texas Tech University. He married Virginia Frances in 1943 at Las Cruces, N.M. She preceded him in death. He was director of development at Lubbock Christian College for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He served as a deacon at Greenlawn Church of Christ as well as other congregations. He had been a minister at numerous congregations in the area over the years. He was on the Missions Board at Greenlawn and had received top awards for his work in sales for church loans and investments. He served as chief petty officer in the Navy during World War II. He was also a published author and a contributing writer for several newspapers. Survivors include a son, Charles Simpson of Herndon, Va.; two daughters, V. Rosellen Chisholm of Lubbock, and Martha Thigpen of El Paso; his mother, Lennie Simpson of Lubbock; two sisters, Pauline Smart of Rocklin, Calif., and Vanna Cole of Albuquerque, N.M.; and eight grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to project 2000 at Lubbock Christian University. Area Mary Albracht HEREFORD - Mary Albracht, 93, died Sunday, July 6, 1997. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Rose Chapel of Gililand-Watson Funeral Home. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Saint Anthony's Catholic Church with Monsignor Orville Blum, pastor, and Jonny Cloud, deacon, officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Albracht was born in Okarche, Okla. She had eight years of education. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She married Cyril Albracht in 1928 at Okarche. He died in 1985. Survivors include three sons, Thomas Albracht, Roger Albracht and Duane Albracht, all of Hereford; two daughters, Jean Kriegshauser of Clovis, N.M., and Sister Juanita Albracht of San Antonio; three sisters, Ann Detterman of Okarche, Lena Gannon of Loveland, Colo., and Theresa Mugenburg of Kingfisher, Okla.; a brother, Henry Shaefer of Okarche; and 17 grandchildren. Lillian Helen Peters MEMPHIS - Lillian Helen Peters, 87, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Keith Ray officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis. Mrs. Peters was born in Oklahoma. She had been a longtime resident of Memphis. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church. She married Mack Ferguson in 1931. Following his death, she married Herman Peters in 1941. He also preceded her in death. Survivors include six sons, John Ferguson of San Marcos, Oscar Ferguson and Gary Ferguson, both of Memphis, Roger Ferguson of Pueblo West, Colo., Douglas Peters of Amarillo, and Danny Peters of Arlington; three brothers, Ted Musgrove of Fort Worth, Guy Musgrove of Canon City, Colo., and Al Musgrove of Clarendon; five sisters, Wanda Drumgoole and Edna Pounds, both of Clarendon, Lorene Atwood of Bentonville, Ark., Bonnie Callahan of Rogers, Ark., and Dorothy Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He had been a dairy farmer for most of his life. He had also been a Realtor and broker since 1976. He married Claudine Frashier in 1938 at Pampa. He was past president of the Pampa Board of Realtors in 1980. He was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Cook. Survivors include his wife; three sons, David L. Balch of Fort Worth, Lloyd E. Balch of Houston, and Gordon R. Balch of Saudi Arabia; three sisters, Evelyn Chandler of Odessa, Elizabeth Flynt of Pampa, and Lucille McDonald of Perryton; and 12 grandchildren. Jesse Lynn Downs PAMPA - Jesse Lynn Downs, 65, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at Lake Stamford. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. He came to Pampa in 1957 from Lubbock. He was an independent distributor for Morton Foods for 17 years and later was an auto mechanic at Ogden and Sons for several years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He married Melva Robertson in 1951 at Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; a son, Johnny Lynn Downs of Pampa; a daughter, Debbie Minyard of Pampa; a brother, Roy D. Downs of Lubbock; a sister, Faye Francis of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association or Central Baptist Church Building Fund. Katherine Miller PAMPA - Katherine "Kay'' Miller, 81, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Hook, pastor of Hobart Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Miller was born in Childress. She had worked for the city of Pampa from 1942 until 1945. She also had worked as a housekeeping supervisor for Coronado Community Hospital, retiring in 1987 after 15 years of service. She was a member of Hobart Baptist Church. She married George W. Miller in 1939 at Pampa. He died in 1966. Survivors include a son, Walter Miller of Pampa; and a granddaughter. The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, P.O. Box 2795, Pampa, Texas 79066-2795. Ural Gilbert Miller Ural Gilbert Miller, 76, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mr. Miller was born in Sweetwater, Okla. He had been a resident of Amarillo for 48 years. He attended Stillwater A&M University for two years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a chemist and operator for Southwestern Public Service Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He married Dama Dorothy Fish in 1943 at Beaver, Okla. He was a longtime member of North Amarillo Church of Christ, where he served as deacon in charge of benevolent work for more than 30 years. He and his wife were active in personal evangelism. They conducted Bible studies all over the United States. He was also involved in volunteer work for High Plains Children's Home and other children's homes, as well as working for the prison ministry. He was a member of the Golden Spread Gem and Mineral Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Faye Miller, in 1978. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Frances Yvonne Webb of Madison, Ala., Connie Pearl Barr of Oklahoma City, Linda Kay Wilkins of Dumas, and Nelma Lee Lemaster of Amarillo; a halfbrother, C.B. Miller of Akron, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, 1501 W. 58th Ave., Amarillo, Texas. Tom C. Overstreet BORGER - Tom C. Overstreet, 63, died Sunday, July 6, 1997, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Riverview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Sunset in Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Overstreet had been a resident of Borger since 1968. He served in the Army as a first lieutenant. He was a plant operator for Cominco American, now known as Agri Chem. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 966 of Pampa, and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of El Paso. He married Leota Simpson in 1973 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Monte Overstreet of Oklahoma City, Tommy Overstreet of Borger, and Brian Overstreet of Pampa; two daughters, Karen York of Lubbock, and Micki Fields of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Georgia Fay McDonald of Pampa, and Ouida Nell Shurley of Midland; and eight grandchildren. Dellie M. Horton BOVINA - Dellie M. Horton, 93, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, in Amarillo. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Kenneth Gaines of Amarillo and Leon Talley of Friona, officiating. Burial will be at Bovina Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Horton was born in Chimes, Ark. She had been a resident of Bovina since 1925, moving from Sulphur Springs. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married George Thomas Horton in 1921 at Saltillo. He died in 1960. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1928. Survivors include two daughters, Murlene Gaines of Friona, and Imogene Frazier of Amarillo; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Eulogio Flores Jr. SPEARMAN - Eulogio Flores Jr., 77, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. Johnny Taylor, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Flores was born in San Diego. He had lived in Spearman for two years, moving from Alice. He was a retired farm worker. He attended Trinity Fellowship Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Pacheco of Vaughn, N.M., Marilyn Cain of Spearman, and Diana Deash of Amarillo; three sons, Homer Flores, Henry Flores and Hector Flores, all of Spearman; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
