Alvin Walker, associate pastor of Second Baptist Church, and her son, Donavon Morgan, officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan was born in Monroe County, Tenn. She married Robert L. "Bob" Morgan in 1944 at Dalton, Ga. They moved to Clewiston, Fla., in 1947. She was a ladies apparel sales clerk for several years before moving to Amarillo in 1977. She was a member of the Golden Spread Gem and Mineral Society and the First Baptist Church of Clewiston. She attended Calvary Gospel Tabernacle in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karen Morgan Arant of Fort Motte, S.C.; two sons, Donavon Morgan of Amarillo and Ronald Morgan of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Clifford Duckett of Niota, Tenn., and Clay A. Duckett of Corryton, Tenn.; and two grandsons. The family will be at 1901 S. Bonham St. and 1801 Two Deer Trail. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Trinity Fellowship with Phil Mercado officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Miller was born in Keyes, Okla. He was a member of the First Methodist Church at Keyes. He had been a production foreman for Coastal Oil and Gas Co. for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a square dance club and the National Rifle Association. He married Bettye June Mitchell in 1951 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, James Miller of Fabens; a daughter, Kathey Powell of Amarillo; a sister, Rosa Van Tassel of Idalia, Colo.; a brother, Frank Miller of Greenbrier, Ark.; and four grandchildren. The family will be at 5802 Stone Drive. Lucretia Joy Felts Lucretia Joy Felts, 57, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Felts was born in Lelia Lake. She married Jim Felts in 1957 at Big Spring. She began nursing school in 1977 and graduated in 1979. She was a licensed vocational nurse at Malone Hogan Hospital in Big Spring, High Plains Baptist and Riverside General Hospital at Riverside, Calif. She retired in 1994. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Russell Felts, in 1994. He moved to Amarillo more than 13 years ago. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was a Baptist. Survivors include five sons, R.E. Hughes St. Mr. Walker was born in Mott. He married Ollie Walker in 1974 at Amarillo. He retired from the city of Amarillo. Oklahoma Amy Elizabeth Bishop GUYMON, Okla. - Amy Elizabeth Bishop, 20, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, in Liberal, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Victory Center with the Rev. Charles Mendenhall, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by BunchRoberts Funeral Home. Miss Bishop was born in Guymon and had been a lifelong resident. She was a member of Victory Center Church and had attended the Victory Center Christian School for two years. She graduated from Guymon High School with the class of 1996. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was active in many school activities including basketball, track and cross country. Miss Bishop was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students Against Drunk Drivers. She was attending Seward County Community College at Liberal, studying physical therapy. She was a sales clerk at Maurice's Clothing Store in Liberal. Survivors include her parents, Dean and Marilyn Bishop of Guymon; a sister, Angie Mueller of Hugoton, Kan.; a brother, Carl Thomas of Oklahoma City; and grandparents, Richard and Lela Bishop of Pharr, Texas, and Evelyn Wells of Guymon. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ with John Henley and Derek Cox officiating. Burial will be in Kenton Cemetery at Kenton. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary. Mr. Henley was born in Kenton and had been a longtime resident of Boise City. He was an infantryman in the 1st Infantry Division during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He had worked as a mason and painter for most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Henley; children, Jerry Hamm of Norman, Larry Henley of Davis, John Henley, Billy Henley and Ruby Henley, all of Boise City, Wesley Henley of Edmond and Danny Henley of Marietta; a brother, Bill Henley of Boise City; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Stromberg, 83, a former Amarillo resident, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Lucas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at Bowie. Mr. Stromberg was born in Kinner, Wyo. He settled in Taos, N.M., in 1924. He was a truck contractor with his father and also worked for Panhandle Steel Erectors in Amarillo. He owned many businesses and finally retired from Moly Mine in Questa, N.M. He lived in Fort Worth at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, John and Bill; a daughter, Dian; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Area Clyde Junior Holman STINNETT - Clyde Junior Holman, 67, of Amarillo, a former Stinnett resident, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Mr. Holman was born in Parnell. He lived in Stinnett for 23 years before moving to Amarillo nine years ago. He retired as a field booster operator for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. after 321/2 years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He married Thelma Doris Willis in 1945 at McLean. He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Legene Holman, in 1989. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Robert Holman of Amarillo; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Holman of McLean and Charles Holman of Clovis, Calif.; and four sisters, Barbara Ann Gates of Cassville, Mo., Linda White and Norma Jean Ashley, both of Rogers, Ark., and Orene Amerson of Amarillo. Mr. Odom was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He moved to the Dimmitt area in 1941 from McClain County, Okla. He married Mozelle Teague in 1939 at Chickasha, Okla. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Odom and Jesse Lynn Odom, both of Dimmitt; two daughters, Maretta Smithson and Patricia Campbell, both of Dimmitt; a brother, M.B. Odom of Dimmitt; a sister, Gladys Richardson of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Weddington, 80, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Faith Covenant Church with the Rev. Ken Sheppard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Prayer at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Weddington was born in Clovis, N.M., and had been a Borger resident since 1934. He was co-owner of R&R Sheet Metal in Borger. He was a veteran of the National Guard of Iowa. He was a member of Faith Covenant Church, Lubbock Scottish Rites, Khiva Shrine Temple and the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and had been a member of the Rotary since 1943. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita, in 1984; and a daughter, Carolyn Sue Weddington, in 1988. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Lee of First Baptist Church in Canadian and the Rev. Johnny Crawford of First Baptist Church of Mobeetie officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born in Mountainberg, Ark. He moved to Wheeler in 1960 from Allison. He married Jewell Mae Cochran in 1933 at Reydon, Okla. She died in 1970. He also was preceded in death by his two sons, Troy Richard Jones in 1976 and Dwight Lynn Jones in 1993. He was a farmer, rancher and a bi-vocational minister for 55 years. He was licensed to preach in 1934 and ordained in 1935. His first pastorate was the Peaceful Home Baptist Church at Alma, Ark. He was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Fourmentin of Wellington; four sons, Billy Ray Jones of Fontana, Calif., Lee Roy Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Wayne Jones of Canadian and David Jones of San Marcos; two sisters, Maxine Mills of Hampton, Va., and Lois Risner of Wheeler; a brother, Gilbert Jones of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Adrian was born in Mercedes and moved to Clarksville, where he graduated from high school. He served with the Navy during World War II. He moved to the Plainview area in 1949 and farmed near Halfway, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He married Noretta Berner in 1955 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Anita Adrian of Plainview; three sons, Gerald Adrian of Exton, Pa., Gary Adrian and Marvin Adrian, both of Lubbock; a sister, Elaine Schur of Plainview; and three grandchildren. He graduated from Dalhart High School in 1949. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a machinist and owned and operated Sid's Welding for many years. He retired in 1996. He married Irene Barber in 1969 at Dalhart. He attended First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Danny Renshaw of Roswell, N.M., Keenan Renshaw of Amarillo, Joe Kelley of Frisco, and Dwight Renshaw and Greg Renshaw, both of Dalhart; two daughters, Tamara Holeman and RaQuel Renshaw, both of Amarillo; his father, Jake Renshaw of Dalhart; two brothers, John C. Renshaw of Amarillo and Samuel Thomas Renshaw of Dalhart; and nine grandchildren. Don E. Smith SPEARMAN - Don E. Smith, 66, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born in Ochiltree County and had been a lifetime resident of the Spearman area. He married Gwendolyn Davis in 1947 at Spearman. He was a farmer. He was a member of First Christian Church, where he had served as an elder and deacon many times. He also was a former board member of Hansford Heart Association. He also held membership with Hansford Golf Club and was a past member of Oddfellows. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Olson and Marilyn Lee, both of Pampa; a son, Bobby Smith of Spearman; a brother, Leroy E. New Mexico Juanita Garcia TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Juanita Garcia, 89, died Monday, March 3, 1997. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic Church by the Rev. John C. Daniels. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born in Tremintina and had been a resident of Tucumcari since 1940. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan, in 1990; and a son, Steve. Survivors include five sons, Valentine Garcia, Ambrose Garcia, Rafael Garcia and Eloy Garcia, all of Albuquerque, and Carlos Garcia of El Monte, Calif.; a daughter, Nora Sierra of Albuquerque; seven sisters, Rafelita Pacheco of Hereford, Texas, Polly Vealpondo and Margie Madrid, both of of Las Vegas, N.M., Della Trujillo and Drucilla Quintana, both of Pueblo, Colo., Flora Cartwaight of California and Petra McClure of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Percy Madrid of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing until service time. Arlis Ray Wyatt MELROSE, N.M. - Arlis Ray Wyatt, 65, of Plainview, Texas, a former Melrose resident, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Horn, Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery by SteedTodd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Wyatt was born in Friona, Texas. He moved with his family from Texas to Grier. He later moved to Melrose in 1940. Shortly after graduating from Melrose High School in 1949, he enlisted in the Army, serving more than 81/2 years. He served in Korea for two tours and in Germany for one tour. He earned many commendations including the Korean Service Medal with five bronze service stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Army Occupation Medal (Germany). After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1958, Mr. Wyatt attended business school. He was employed by a truck dealership as a bookkeeper and a business manager. He left this position after three years to join a public accountant as an auditor / accountant. Five years later he entered federal civil service with the Department of the Air Force and served 26 years as an accountant. This job took him to many places including Clovis, where he retired. After a year he moved to Lubbock, Texas, and was again employed as a bookkeeper / comptroller for an electrical contracting firm. He remained in that position until retiring in 1995. Mr. Wyatt grew up as a member of Melrose Baptist Church. He was a member of Monterey Baptist Church in Lubbock, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Woodmen of the World and the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Charene, and a son, Malcolm Gregory. Survivors include a son, Phillip Ray Wyatt of Virginia; a daughter, Bobbie Jeanne Willis of Texas; two brothers, Henry Wyatt of Texas and Edward Wyatt of Washington; five sisters, Edith Thompson, Dona Burge and Zula Carlton, all of Texas, and Maxine Howard and Daisy Crowle of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. The casket will be closed at the service. Friends may call the funeral home.
