Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Kenton Cemetery with Derek Cox officiating. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Arvilla was born in Kansas City, Kan., and moved to Kenton with her family when she was 3. She attended school in Kenton and lived there for the rest of her life. She married Pierson Rice in 1937 at Clayton, N.M. He died in 1986. Mrs. Arvilla was a member of the Kenton United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Emmitt Rice of Dumas; a daughter, Ruby Gore of Boise City; two sisters, Marie Willhite of Boise City and Irene Kencheloe of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Cimarron Home Health and Hospice or to the Black Mesa Club. Nellie Lucille Bobbitt BALKO - Nellie Lucille Bobbitt, 73, died Wednesday, June 4, 1977. Services were Saturday at Balko Baptist Church with Harvey Albright and Rodney Roberson officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service. Mrs. Bobbitt was born in Denver and married James Leroy Bobbitt in 1941 at Oklahoma City. They moved to the Anthony community in 1945, where she worked as a nurse at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home for 23 years. She was a member of the Balko Baptist Church for more than 30 years and was a member of the Sunflower Club. Mrs. Bobbitt was a high school graduate, a homemaker and a 55-year resident of Beaver County. Mrs. Bobbitt was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Jimmy Bobbitt. Survivors include three daughters, Myrtle Timpe of Ozark, Mo., Janet Rader of Hammon and Joy Bobbitt of Perryton, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Sue M. Williams CHICKASHA - Sue M. Williams, 82, a former Clarendon, Texas, resident, died Friday, June 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter officiating. Arrangements are by BrownBinyon Funeral Home of Chickasha. Mrs. Williams was born in Downsville, N.Y. She was reared in Downsville. She had lived in Clarendon, Ark., for many years. She later moved to Clarendon, Texas. Her husband, Lloyd Terry of Hamden, N.Y., preceded her in death. She married W.C. Williams in 1975 at Stuttgart, Ark. He died in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Herb Terry of Chickasha and Harold Terry of Spartanburg, S.C.; a sister, Maggie Banuet of Downsville, N.Y.; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. Andy V. Harris CLINTON - Andy V. Harris, 73, died Friday, June 6, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Kern-Schneider-Kiesau Funeral Home of Clinton with Louis Hopkins and Charles Pruitt officiating. Burial will be at Sentinel Cemetery in Sentinel. Mr. Harris was born in Bengel, Latimer County. He married Hattie Ethel Sexton in 1943. They lived in Hollis until 1952, when they moved to Sunray, Texas. They moved to Clinton in 1990. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Marion Dean Harris of Oklahoma City, Don Harris of Dumas, Texas, and Richard Harris of Yukon; two daughters, Rita Upton of Hardin, Texas, and Debra Vasquez of Amarillo; two brothers, C.E. Harris and Willard Harris, both of Mangum; two sisters, Betty June Weaver and Elizabeth Weaver, both of Mangum; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. New Mexico Maye Phillips CAUSEY - Maye Phillips, 84, died Thursday, June 5, 1997. Services were Saturday at Causey Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Edwards and Carroll Peaden officiating. Burial was in Springlake Cemetery at Springlake, Texas, by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe, Texas. Mrs. Phillips was born in Carter, Okla., and married Orby Phillips in 1933 at Clovis. She was a homemaker and a member of Causey Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips had lived in Stegall, Texas, before moving to Causey in 1981. She had previously lived in Olton, Texas, from 1933 to 1947. Survivors include two sons, Clyde Phillips of Inez and Aubrey Phillips of Dexter; two daughters, Laverne Coffman of Causey and Johnnye Lavender of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, W.L. Phillips of Picayune, Miss., and Blanche Collier of Scurry, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Margery Helen Pack MELROSE - Margery Helen Pack, 78, died Friday, June 6, 1997, in Albuquerque. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of Christ at Melrose. Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Pack was born in Yuma County, Colo. She was a key punch operator at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis. She married Stoney Pack in 1939 at Dulce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, and three babies. Survivors include a son, Johnny Pack of Socorro; a daughter, Karen Brittain of Albuquerque; a brother, John Clark of Henderson, Nev.; three sisters, Miriam Smith of Moses Lake, Wash., Lois Swearingen of Bloomfield, and Florence Beach of Rutheron; and three grandchildren. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Ralls Cemetery. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Mrs. Sechrist was born in Morton. She had lived most of her life in Ralls. She was a homemaker and had worked for Security State Bank in Ralls, the City of Ralls, AAA Coffee in Ralls, the Associated Cotton Growers, Lorenzo State Bank and the Crosbyton Review Newspaper. She was a member of Ralls First United Methodist Church. She married Charles Sechrist in 1964 at Lorenzo. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Allen Sechrist of Amarillo and Stephen Sechrist of Lubbock; two brothers, Ernest Lee Mapes of Lubbock and Travis Mapes of Minnesota; two sisters, Christine Hodnett of Maple and Jo Ann Sandefur of Calgary, Canada; and five grandchildren. Virginia Gardner AUSTIN - Virginia Gardner, 84, died Friday, June 6, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Austin, with Browning Ware, retired pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Weed-CorleyFish Funeral Home of Austin. Mrs. Gardner was born in Amarillo. She graduated from public schools in Amarillo and attended Trinity University and West Texas State University in Canyon. She went to Austin and worked for the Secretary of State. She married Dan B. Gardner in 1938. She was an active member of First Baptist Church. She was a deaconess, a former Sunday school teacher and an involved member of Baptist Women's Missionary Union. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dan Gardner of Austin, and Glenn Gardner of Rosanky; a sister, Mary Lyles of Austin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church in Austin. Susan Leigh Macina MIDLAND - Susan Leigh Macina, 30, died Thursday, June 5, 1997. Memorial services were Saturday at the Grace Lutheran Church with Larry Krueger, pastor, and Donald Hafemann, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Pakan Cemetery with the Rev. Andrew Simcak, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
