He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; his mother, Guadalupe Romero of Juarez; eight brothers and sisters, Ana Bertha Romero, Naritza Romero and Edgar Romero, all of Juarez, Oscar Romero of Chihuahua, Mexico and Fernando Romero, Reynaldo Romero, Roberto Romero and Elvia Rosa Romero, all of Guymon, Okla. Elsewhere Sharon Alberta Westerby Perales FORT WORTH - Sharon Alberta Westerby Perales, 48, died Sunday, April 27, 1997. She was a graduate of Caprock High School. She was a bakery clerk at Mrs. Baird's Bread for three years. She married Fred Perales in 1979. Survivors include her husband; a son, Juan Perales of Fort Worth; two daughters, Pamela Cothron of Richland Hills, and Elena Perales of Fort Worth; her parents, Charles and Wilma Westerby of Amarillo; two brothers, Charles Westerby and Kenneth Westerby, both of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. R.J. McCasland MORTON - R.J. McCasland, 67, died Sunday, May 4, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Eastside Church of Christ with Joey Pierce, minister, officiating. Burial will be at Morton Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. McCasland was born in Artesia, N.M. He was a lifetime resident of Morton. He was a graduate of Whiteface High School, where he was salutatorian. He was a farmer. He served in the Army Reserve during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. He married Margaret Caruthers in 1992 at Morton. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Burl McCasland of Morton; two sisters, Era Richardson of Morton, and Lura Lee Stalcup of Jefferson City, Mo. Burial will be at Morton Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Enriquez was born in Durango, Mexico. He had lived in the Morton Community since 1957, moving from Fort Davis. He was a farmer and a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church. He married Jovita Alvarez in 1941 at Poryener, Mexico. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosa Elva Enriquez, in 1948, and a son, Jesse Enriquez, in 1967. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Raymond Enriquez, Ralph Enriquez Jr., Johnny Enriquez, and Frank Enriquez, all of Morton, Fernando Enriquez and Stephen Enriquez, both of Lubbock; five daughters, Soccoro Gonzales and Norma Salazar, both of Goodyear, Ariz., Rosa Soliz and John Gonzales, both of Morton, and Amy Lopez of Brenham; 37 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Oklahoma Mary Katherine Hamilton PURCELL, Okla. - Mary Katherine Hamilton, 80, a former Hollis resident, died Monday, May 5, 1997. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Hollis Church of Christ with Mark Bradford officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, 16 miles north of Hollis. Arrangements are by Little's Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Harmon County. She attended school in the Carl community near Hollis. She married Nathan Haskell Hamilton in 1936 and lived in southwest Oklahoma most of her life. She was a homemaker and worked on the farm with her husband. She also worked as a nurse many years at Jackson County Memorial Hospital at Altus. In 1988 she moved to Purcell. She was active in the home extension clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966. Survivors include three sons, Nathan Hamilton of Panhandle, Texas, Norman Hamilton of Kingston, and Darrell Hamilton of Purcell; two sisters, Mildred Hunter of Clinton and Nadine Minyard of Batesville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. New Mexico Santiago Moralez CLOVIS - Santiago Moralez, 84, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Dunn Memorial Chapel at Tucumcari and at 7 p.m. Friday in the San Antonio Catholic Church at Logan. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in San Antonio Catholic Church at Logan, with the Rev. John C. Daniel officiating. Burial will be at Logan Cemetery. Mr. Moralez was born in Gallegos. He had been a longtime resident of the Logan area. For the past 30 years, he had been making his home in Clovis where he was employed by the Clovis Public School System. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Clovis, and a member of Nuestra Padre Jesus Nazareno. He is preceded in death by his wife, Domacia Moralez, in 1990. Survivors include five daughters, Lou Gallegos of Tucumcari, Sylvia Lira of Muleshoe, Texas, Helen Gallegos, Clara Vigil, and Priscilla Garcia, all of Clovis; two sons, John Moralez and Lawrence Moralez, both of Clovis; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until Friday at noon. Gail Gibson LOGAN - Gail "Hoss'' Gibson, 65, a former Muleshoe, Texas, resident, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Saturday in Logan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Eggart, pastor, and the Rev. Gene Richardson officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. MST in Enochs Cemetery at Enochs, Texas. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mr. Gibson was born in Allenreed, Texas. He had lived in Logan since 1989, moving from Muleshoe. He was in pipe line construction for several years and the agriculture spraying business in Muleshoe for eight years. He was a member of Logan United Methodist Church. He married Barbara Alford in 1987 at Muleshoe. Survivors include four daughters, Patsy Little of Ada, Okla., Diana Gibson Waggoner of Lubbock, Texas, Jo Lynn Perry of Logan, and Jill Chadwick of Austin, Texas; a son, Alan Kohn of Austin, Texas; a sister, Ann Clements of Muleshoe; and nine grandchildren. Area Walter Davis Hollums FLOYDADA - Walter Davis Hollums, 90, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Moore-Rose-White Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clark Williams, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Floyd County Memorial Park with Masonic rites. Mr. Hollums was born in Anson. His family moved to Floyd County from Jones County in 1919. He was a farmer. He was also a Floyd County Sheriff for 16 years. He was appointed Justice of the Peace and retired in 1984. He married Leila Gertrude Bartlett in 1925 at Plainview. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and the First United Methodist Church of Floydada. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985, and two sons, Melvin and Eugene. Survivors include a son, Don Hollums of Evergreen, Colo.; a grandson, Mike Hollums of Petersburg; a sister, Elizabeth Newton of Lubbock; two brothers, Roy Hollums of Dimmitt, and John Hollums of Weatherford; 10 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Orvalea DeWeese PAMPA - Orvalea DeWeese, 85, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Fairview Cemetery with Dr. R.L. Kirk, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. DeWeese was born in Brady. She was a graduate of Brady High School. She was an executive secretary for Bell & Regan Oil Co., in Pecos from 1930 until 1939. She moved to Pampa in 1939. She was an administrative secretary for Cabot Corp., in Pampa from 1939 until 1943. She married Dallas Franklyn "Tex'' DeWeese in 1943 at Pampa. He died in 1978. She moved to Dallas. She served as a business office secretary and administrative secretary for the Highland Park Independent School District from 1957 until 1962. In 1962, she returned to Pampa, working as an administrative secretary for Joe Cree Insurance Agency until her retirement. She was a member of the Gray County Tuberculosis Association, the Community Concert Association, the Twentieth Century Culture Club, and the Kiwani-Anns. She was a former member of the American Red Cross, the Opti-Mrs. Club, and a former volunteer with the Cub Scouts. Survivors include two sons, Robert Kevin "Doc'' DeWeese of Pampa, and Ted Dallas DeWeese of Dallas, Ore. Kevin Wayne Foster DUMAS - Kevin Wayne Foster, 36, died Wednesday, April, 30, 1997. Services were held in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel Monday, May 5, 1997. Local arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Foster was born in Bartlesville, Okla. He graduated from high school at Bartlesville in 1978. At the age of 17, he attended Oklahoma University. He also attended Oklahoma State University and Rogers State College. He received his associate's degree and was working on his bachelor's degree in engineering. He was employed in the construction business. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Hudlow was born in Crowell. He was a farmer. He managed a grocery store in Estelline during the late 1940s and early 1950s. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and First Baptist Church of Estelline. He married Winnie Holmes in 1927 at Childress. He was preceded in death by his wife; three sons, Sonny, Johnny and Ted Hudlow; and a daughter, Jerry Ann Hudlow. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Bevers of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Bert Lossie Huff MIAMI - Bert Lossie Huff, 68, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Wellborn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Huff was born in Roubidoux, Mo. He had been a resident of Miami for the past 32 years. He worked for Roberts County for 12 years before retiring. He married Evelyn Moynihan in 1958 at Houston, Mo. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Huff, in 1986. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bert Huff Jr., and Jimmy Huff, both of Licking, Mo., Joe Huff and Danny Huff, both of Miami; three daughters, Ellen Duncan of The Colony, Connie Williams of Lovington, N.M., and Mary Riley of Amarillo; a stepson, Henry Moynihan of Miami; a brother, Bob Huff of Success, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Ishan Ardhueremly officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Lloyd was born in Eldorado, Okla. She had been a resident of Borger since 1928. She was a homemaker. She was a member and was active in study groups at the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl T. Lloyd, in 1987, and a son, Kenneth Lloyd, in 1991. Survivors include three sisters, Helen Barbee of Borger, Jo Sweeney of Dennison, and Evelyn Matthews of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
