Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Phil Mercado of Trinity Fellowship officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Casey was born in Phroso, Okla., and attended school in Fairview, Okla. While in high school, she played the piano for silent movies. She married Albert Eugene "Gene'' Casey in 1925. He died in 1976. Mrs. Casey had a radio program in Dodge City, Kan. She played both the piano and the accordion with her own musical group. In 1941, she moved to Amarillo and taught music for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church and sang in the choir there. She also was a member of the Carol Lynn Singers, the Amarillo Symphony Chorus and the Sweet Adelines. She was a member of the Harmony McDowell and the Philharmonic music clubs, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Morris of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle. Mildred Ellen Gardner Mildred Ellen Gardner, 86, of Amarillo, a former longtime resident of Annapolis, Md., died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. There will be no services. Cremation was by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mrs. Gardner was born in Hagerstown, Md. She was a member of St. Ann's Episcopal Church in Maryland. She was a past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Maryland. She was named Mother of the Year and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Democratic Club, where she was a past president, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, Frances Walls Gardner Sr., in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Alice Tucker of Amarillo; a son, Frances Walls Gardner Jr. of Amarillo; three sisters, Victoria Trumpower of Mexico, and Marie Habercan and Bada Russell, both of Maryland; two brothers, John Trumpower and Victor Trumpower, both of Maryland; and a grandchild. Bobby Doyle Finley Bobby Doyle Finley, 60, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Finley was born in Denison. He moved to Amarillo in 1995 from Tulia. He was an Army veteran and owned and operated Bob's Upholstery Shop in Hobbs, N.M. He lived in Hobbs from 1970 to 1992. After moving to Amarillo, he worked for SaveOn Autos. Mr. Finley married Vonda Pitts in 1957 at Hereford. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Belinda Finley of Hobbs and Regina Finley of Lubbock; his mother, Christine Finley of Amarillo; a sister, Deana Ramirez of Amarillo; and two brothers, Richard Finley of Barling, Ark., and Donald Finley of Amarillo. Bessie Jean Castleberry Bessie Jean Castleberry, 52, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. J. Alan Ford of Southwest Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mrs. Castleberry was born in Denton and moved to Amarillo in 1958. She was baptized at Southwest Baptist Church. She married Jimmy Castleberry in 1984. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Frank Castleberry and Mike Castleberry, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Norma Graham and Tina Jones, both of Amarillo; three stepchildren, Ricky England of Lubbock, Jimmy England of Canyon and Donny England of Amarillo; two sisters, Joann Johnson of Oklahoma and Carline Angel of Kentucky; two brothers, Jessie Burroughs of Granbury and Charles Burroughs of Oklahoma; and 17 grandchildren. There will be no viewing or visitation. Betty Jo Yeoman Betty Jo Calliham Yeoman, 55, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby McMillian of Lubbock officiating. A private burial for the family will precede the services in Memorial Park Mausoleum. She married Tom Yeoman in 1964 at Colby. After several years of moving around, including serving two years in the Peace Corps in Nigeria, Africa, the couple settled in Amarillo in 1976 to raise their family. Mrs. Yeoman taught English and English as a Second Language at Texas State Technical College in Amarillo for 13 years. She also taught at Amarillo College for three semesters. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo for 21 years. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Joe and Etheleen Calliham of Amarillo; a son, Chris Yeoman of Lubbock; a daughter, Jennifer Yeoman Hall of Austin; a sister, Kay Ann Stillman of Longmont, Colo.; and a grandson. The family will be at 4521-23 Yale. They request memorials in lieu of flowers be to the organ fund at St. Paul United Methodist Church or the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center. Emilia Rael Emilia Rael, 92, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, by the Rev. Pat Hoffman. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church by Monsignor Harold Waldo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Ms. Rael was born in Puerto de Luna, N.M. She had been a resident of Amarillo for 60 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a son, George Rael, in 1986. Survivors include three sons, Florencio Rael of Carpentersville, Ill., Jim Rael of Belen, N.M., and Joe Rael of Amarillo; a daughter, Maria Luna of Amarillo; a sister, Rosa Chavez of Santa Rosa, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 2905 S. Ricks. Ruby Edna Reddoch Ruby Edna Reddoch, 84, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Garden of Fountain at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rex Dowling of the Quail Creek Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Reddoch was born in Thornton. She moved to Amarillo in 1941 from Kosse. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She married Robert D. Reddoch in 1931. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Lloyd Reddoch of Amarillo; two daughters, Dorothy June Williams of Seguin and Lorietta Marie Carver of Santa Clarita, Calif.; a sister, Opal Kay of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 1118 S. Avondale. Jim Nash "Coach'' Jim Nash, 55, of 1313 N. Washington St., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. E.D. Fields officiating. Final services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Winn Funeral Home Precious Memories Chapel in Okmulgee, Okla., with the Rev. Willie Antwine officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Okmulgee. Local arrangements are by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Nash was born in Okmulgee. He received his formal education at Wheatley in Beggs, Okla., and Fort Elementary and Dunbar High School in Okmulgee. He continued his education at Muskogee Junior College, Eastern Oklahoma A&M College, Northeastern State University, Western University and West Texas State University. He was a teacher at Carver High School from 1965 to 1966. He was a teacher and the defensive line coach at Amarillo High School until retiring in 1996. Each year, the Helmet Scholarship Award is given in honor of Coach Nash and Coach Clapp. Mr. Nash was a member of the Amarillo Classroom Teachers Association, the National Education Association and the Texas Coaches Association. Survivors include his wife, Rozell Perkins; a daughter, Stephanie Alexander of Amarillo; his stepfather, J.W. Johnson Sr. of Beggs; a sister, Maxine Iheanacho of Oklahoma City; five brothers, Clyde Griffin of Okmulgee, Gregory Joe Johnson of California City, Calif., Everette Johnson and Windell Paul Johnson, both of Beggs, and J.W. Mr. McLain was born in Canadian and had been living in Grapevine. He was a fleet service clerk for American Airlines. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; a son, Sambo McLain of Dripping Springs; two daughters, Devyn McLain of Dallas and Leslyn Swierc of Kilgore; two brothers, Gene McLain of Kilgore and Dean McLain of Sonora; and two granddaughters. Area Virginia Winifred Presnell PAMPA - Virginia Winifred Huggins Presnell, 84, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Darrell Evans, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Presnell was born in Topeka, Kan. She moved to Pampa in 1942 from Enid, Okla. She was a member of First Christian Church and the El Progresso Study Club. She married Max Presnell in 1932 at Enid. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nancy Yeargain of Lubbock and Cindy Gindorf of Pampa; a son, Jon Presnell of Azle; two sisters, Barbara Larsen of Aptos, Calif., and Katherine Macfarline of North Manchester, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Christian Church. Clifford Mardis MULESHOE - Clifford Mardis, 64, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997. Arrangements are by Ellis funeral Home. Mr. Mardis was born in Muleshoe and had been a lifelong Muleshoe resident. He graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1949. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Lucy Sanchez in 1979 at Muleshoe. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Eddy Mardis of Seagraves, Cecil Mardis of Conroe and Bryan Traylor of Amarillo; two daughters, Sammye Henderson of Canyon and Mitzi Morrison of Olney; three brothers, Curly Mardis of Hereford, H.B. Mardis of Clovis, N.M., and Burl Mardis of Muleshoe; and 12 grandchildren. Elice Banks DALHART - Elice Banks, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Channing Cemetery at Channing with the Rev. James Edwards, pastor of Channing Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home Inc. Mrs. Banks was born near Allison. She was the owner of Matador Cafe at Channing for many years. She was a member of Channing Methodist Church. She married Leroy Banks in 1980. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Donna Chambers of Boys Ranch and Jackie Abernathy of Rio Rancho, N.M.; three brothers, C.E. McCoy Jr. and Jimmy Dean McCoy, both of Reydon, Okla., and Loyd McCoy of Clinton, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Jeanette Maddox DALHART - Jeanette Maddox, 86, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Bob Hough, pastor of Christian Outreach Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Maddox was born in Pawhuska, Okla. Her early years were spent in Sedalia, Mo., and Kansas City, Mo. She married Elva Hugh Maddox in 1932. They moved to Dalhart in 1935 and to Amarillo in 1957. They most recently were residents of Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Maddox was a homemaker, an artist and a musician. She worked as a bank teller and owned and managed Friendly Service News in Amarillo. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart. Survivors include a son, Jim Maddox of Waxahachie; two daughters, Sara Maddox Brooks of Waxahachie and Janice Maddox Hough of Colorado Springs; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
