Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of Christ with Larry Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Dickson Cemetery at Benton County, Ark. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Mr. Brown was born in Anadarko. He had been a resident of Colcord since 1986, moving from Texas. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and had retired from the Cabot Corp. He was a member of the Colcord City Council and the chamber of commerce. He was head of the Colcord Park Committee and had helped with the Colcord Library Museum. He also was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Juanita Mae Roberts in 1949. Survivors include his wife; a son, Marlin D. Brown of Amarillo; a daughter, Marla Gail Treadwell of Fayetteville, Ark.; a brother, Millard Brown of Amarillo; two sisters, Eleanor Sue Martin of Las Animas, Colo., and Billie Dale of Colcord; and four grandchildren. Mildred Marie Curtis GUYMON, Okla. - Mildred Marie Curtis, 84, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Presbyterian church with the Rev. James A. Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Curtis was born in Greencastle, Ind. After spending her early years in Putnam County, Ind., she moved to the Oklahoma Panhandle in 1934 and attended college at Panhandle A&M in Goodwell. She married Robert M. "Connie" Curtis in 1936 at Putnam County. They made their home in Guymon and were active in church and civic activities. Mrs. Curtis was an active member of the Presbyterian church. She was a member of the choir, the Presbyterian Women's group and the Presbytery-Anns group. She was the society editor for the Guymon Daily News for many years and also was a rural route mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a past worthy matron of the Guymon Order of the Eastern Star No. 419. She also was a longtime member of the Rose Garden Club and had been a member of the hospital auxiliary and the Macombo Dance Club. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Joy Dee Fulton of Farmington, N.M., and Robinelle Adams of Clemmons, N.C.; a son, John Curtis of Guymon; 12 sisters and brothers, Polly Coleman of Rantoul, Ill., Rex Hammond, Mary New and Nancy Fogle, all of Greencastle, Betty Warfield Neil of Deal, Md., Joe Hammond of West Monroe, La., Bill Hammond of Carmel, Ind., Helen Overton of Tucson, Ariz., Edward Hammond of Danville, Ind., Virginia Willsey of Indianapolis, Peggy Girton of Reelsville, Ind., and Cathy Landy of Oak Brook, Ill.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Mikow of the church officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Morris was born in Tucumcari. She graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1944 and earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of New Mexico in 1948. She was a primary school teacher for several years at Third Street, Central and Coronado schools in Tucumcari. After residing in Virginia and Maryland while her husband, Thomas G. Morris, served as a U.S. Representative from New Mexico, she and her family returned to the farm in Tucumcari in the late 1960s. Mrs. Morris served on the Tucumcari Museum Board for many years and was a lifelong member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Tucumcari Historical Research Institute, the Wagonwheel Cowbelles, the Tucumcari Chapter D of PEO, the Tucumcari Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Nile Yucca Temple No. 74 of Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband; a son, Tommy of Tucumcari; a daughter, Elizabeth of Tucumcari; and a granddaughter. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to a favorite charity. Emmett Newton Breen TUCUMCARI - Emmett Newton Breen, died Thursday, March 6, 1997 Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. John C. Daniel of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Breen was born in Melrose. He graduated from El Dorado Kansas High School and from Kansas State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, the Pi Epison Kappa Honorary Physical Education Fraternity, the K Club and the Wildcat Club. He was a retired athletic coach having coached football at El Dorado, Wichita, Kan., and at Kansas State University. He was a veteran of World War II. serving in the Army Air Corps at the rank of captain. He was a former member of Rotary International and the Tucumcari Elks Lodge no. 1172 and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Kate Breen of Tucumcari; a son, Emmett Breen Jr. of Tucumcari; a daughter, Marion Klingmuller; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Edward Smith, in 1990. Mrs. Smith was a Catholic. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Aragon and Sherry Anaya, both of Tucumcari; a son, Eddie Smith Jr. of Tucumcari; and six grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at Dunn Funeral Home until services on Tuesday. Amarillo James Brown James "J.T." Brown, 84, of 2200 W. Seventh Ave., No. 277, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Services were Saturday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Dean Wynn, chaplain at The Canyons Retirement Center, officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born in Cook County and had lived in Amarillo for eight years. He married Vera Brown in 1936 at Brownsville. He was a member of Tenth Street United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. He also was a member of the Texas State Water Association and the City Quarter Century Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeri Sue Brown. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Mae Chenoweth of Montgomery and Cynthia Ann Hess of Amarillo; a brother, Wilburn Brown of Amarillo; a sister, Loy Mildred Brown of Vernon; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Fred Riley Potter Sr. Fred Riley Potter Sr., 79, a longtime resident of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Wheeler officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Potter was born in Liberal, Kan., and moved to Amarillo in 1927. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1934 and then attended Southwestern State Teachers College in Weatherford, Okla. In 1936, he moved back to Amarillo. He worked at Blackstone Drug and then at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center before joining the U.S. Postal Service. He married Mary Drusilla "Dru" Mutter in 1938 at Canyon. In 1942, Mr. Potter joined the Army Air Corps. He became a B-17 pilot with the 614th Squadron of the 401st Bomb Group flying in the Flying Fortress in a plane the crew dubbed "Gambler's Choice." He was one of two surviving members of the original Gambler's Choice flight crew. Following World War II, he returned to Amarillo in 1945 and resumed his position with the U.S. Postal Service. He served for a total of 40 years before retiring in 1975 as Superintendent of Mails and Director of Mail Processing. Since the mid-1960s, he and his wife have maintained residences in Amarillo and on Lake Conchas at Conchas Dam, N.M. Mr. Potter was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Conchas Baptist Mission at Conchas Dam. He was an Eagle Scout and an honorary initiate of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at West Texas A&M University. He also was a member of High Y, the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330, the El Paso Scottish Rite, the Khiva Shrine Temple, the Oddfellows, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475, the American Legion and the Conchas Lions Club. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred R. Potter Jr. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Richard "Rick" Potter of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Evelyn Potter Kruse of Amarillo; a half-brother, William "Billy" Evans of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. The family will be at 4717 S. Rusk St. Laura Anthony Laura Anthony, 90, of 5113 Leland Dr., died Saturday, March 8, 1997. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Mrs. Anthony was born in Geary, Okla., and moved from Memphis to Amarillo in 1961. She had worked as a checker for Safeway and Furr's supermarkets and retired as a cafeteria worker at Amarillo High School in 1980. She was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. Mrs. Anthony was preceded in death by her husband, T.F. Anthony, in 1968. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Miller of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will be at 5113 Leland and requests memorials be to the American Heart Association or the High Plains Children's Home. Billy J. Thomas Billy J. Thomas, 61, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was born in Slaten. He spent his younger life in Texas and New Mexico. He then went to South Dakota where he met his wife, Loretta Thomas. They were married in 1955. He had worked in the oil field business in Kansas for years before moving to Amarillo in 1976. While residing in Amarillo he was a truck driver with Jack B. Kelly. He became disabled and had to retire some years ago. He and his wife had been Amarillo Globe-News carriers for about eight months. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Craig Thomas of Amarillo and Clive Thomas of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; three sisters, Joan Cutsinger of Amarillo, Jean Crum of Granbury and Alice Rice of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Harry Thomas of Oxnard, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. The family will be at 4429 S. Bowie St. Elsewhere Bobby L. Dyson NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Bobby L. Dyson, 62, a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Services were Saturday in Woodlawn Funeral Home's Chapel of Roses with the Rev. Will Campbell officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Dyson was born in Dalhart, Texas. He began playing music professionally in Amarillo. After a stint in Las Vegas playing with the Wade Ray Five, he moved to Nashville in the mid-1950s. He toured with many musicians including Jimmy Wakely, Jim Reeves and Roger Miller. His credits reportedly include Miller's "King of the Road," Charlie Rich's "Behind Closed Doors," and Dolly Parton's original 1974 version of "I Will Always Love You." Mr. Dyson was credited as the first man to play electric bass on the Grand Ole Opry. When Ralph Emery began his morning TV show in the 1960s, Dyson played bass in a three-man ensemble that eventually expanded to four pieces. Later he became a member of the Hee Haw band. Mr. Dyson was a member of the American Federation of Musicians for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, in 1996. Survivors include three daughters, Cherrill Long of Nashville, Becky Dyson-Emery of Amarillo and Jeri Farrell of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a brother, Tommy Dyson of Hurst, Texas; a sister, Patty Hammett of Dalhart; and three grandchildren. Toney Ellnore Kemp PALO PINTO - Toney Ellnore Kemp, 87, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Services were Saturday in Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with the Rev. O.A. McBrayer officiating. Burial was in Palo Pinto Cemetery. Mrs. Kemp was born in Lake Creek. She married Jack Kemp in 1929 at Plainview. He died in 1962. She had lived in the Palo Pinto area all of her life. She was a health-care provider. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Stoner of Amarillo; a sister, Agnes Rabel of Dodson Prairie; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Gladys "Jones" Holmes TEXARKANA, Ark. - Gladys "Jones" Holmes, 85, died Monday, March 3, 1997. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in New Hope Baptist Church of Keblah with the Rev. Perry Jones Jr., and Dr. S.A. Stuckey officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Holmes was a former first lady at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas, where her husband, the late Reverend P. J. Jones was a pastor and founder of the church. She taught school in Keblah for over 15 years. Survivors include two children, the Rev. Perry Jones, Jr., of Torrance, Calif., and Doris Faye Tichen of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Ila Mae Taylor ODESSA - Ila Mae Taylor, 89, a former Muleshoe resident, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Muleshoe Cemetery with Charles Jones, minister, of Parkview Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Taylor was born in Abilene. She was a resident of Odessa since 1975, moving from Muleshoe, where she had lived since 1914. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Church of Christ. Mercer NEW BRAUNFELS - Dr. Jim E. Mercer, 64, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland Pantermuehl officiating. Dr. Mercer was born in Silverton. He had been a resident of New Braunfels for 18 years. He was a dentist. He held memberships with Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, River City District Dental Society, Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, National Christmas Tree Growers Association, Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association, served on the board of the Community Service Center, the board of the Mid-Texas Symphony, past member of the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council, the Art League and a supporter of the Circle Arts Theatre, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He also served in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mercer of New Braunfels; two sons, Jett Mercer of San Antonio and Kent Mercer of St. Paul, Minn.; his mother, Lillie Mercer of Canyon; a stepson, David Berry of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Carla Shipley of New Braunfels; a sister, Thelma Fulton of Canyon; and nine grandchildren. Vaughn Duncan TULIA - Lorene A. Vaughn Duncan, 81, of Stratford, a former Tulia resident, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Mrs. Duncan was born in Taylor County. She was raised in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She lived in Tulia and Abilene before moving to Stratford. She lived in California until 1981 and in LaGrange for 12 years. In 1993, she moved to Abilene and in 1995 to Stratford. She married John C. Vaughn in 1933 at Tahoka. He died in 1960. She married Ralph Everett Duncan in 1980 at Salinas, Calif. He died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Holligan of Melbourne, Fla.; two sons, Edd Vaughn of Houston and Frank Vaughn of Stratford; a sister, Lucille Lesley of Abilene; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Hershel Carthel LOCKNEY - Hershel Carthel, 86 died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Services were Saturday in West College and Third Street Church of Christ with Frank Duckworth and Clark Johnson, evangelists, officiating. Burial was in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Carthel was born in Lockney. He graduated from Lockney High School and attended West Texas College at Canyon. He married Octavia Collins in 1933 at Lockney. He had lived in Lockney for most of his life, except for spending three years at Tulia and 12 years at Plainview. He served for several years on the Lockney school board and the board of directors of the Lockney Co-op. He was a member of the Rotary Club and served as president of the Parent-Teachers Association. He also was president of the Floyd County Fair Board and was honored as the Citizen of the Year by the Lockney Chamber of Commerce in 1962. Mr. Carthel was a member and elder of West College and Third Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two children, Ted Carthel of Denton and Barbara Mathis of Lockney; a sister, Olga Miller of Kingsland; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Box 82, Lockney, Texas 79241. Charles D. Hatcher PAMPA - Charles D. "Charlie" Hatcher, 68, of Victoria, a former Pampa resident, died Thursday, March 6, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Hatcher was born in Pampa. He was a resident of Pampa for 58 years before moving to Vernal, Utah, and then to Victoria. He was a 1946 graduate of Pampa High School. He married Mary Joyce Mobley Nolan in 1957 at Pampa. She died in 1993. He married Sue Lynn McFall Lee in 1995 at Victoria. Mr. Hatcher was an associate funeral director with Carmichael-Whatley in Pampa for 16 years before retiring in 1986. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of First Christian Church of Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles D. "Chuck" Hatcher Jr. of Vernal; a daughter, Tami Hatcher of Rangely, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Candace Nolan Jennings of Rangely; three stepsons, Marvin Lee of Austin, John K. Lee of Bay City and Curtis Lee of Victoria; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. today. The body will be available for viewing from until service time. Margaret Riley PERRYTON - Margaret Riley, 84, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Roy King, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Riley was born in Durham, Okla. She had lived in the Perryton area since 1934, moving from Durham. She married Debs Riley in 1933 at Durham. She was an executive secretary for the American Red Cross for 20 years. She retired in 1981. Mrs. Riley helped organize the Perryton Planned Parenthood and the Child Development Center. She also helped with the Salvation Army and was a volunteer consultant with the National Red Cross. She was the Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1975. She was a member of the First Christian Church, where she was a deaconess and elder and had held many offices. She also was a member of the Handbell Choir. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gene Riley of Perryton and Bert Riley of Whitefish, Mont.; two daughters, Lyndol Taylor of Andrews and Marion Guy of Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Floy Williams of Edmond, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Duckworth was born in Kemp, Okla., and had been a Borger resident since 1945. He retired as a maintenance planner for Phillips Petroleum Co. after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Mildred Overton in 1946 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Joyce Jordan of Houston and Glynda Allene Brown of Borger; and five grandchildren. Mr. Oakley was born in Phoenix. He was raised in Junction City and Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1976 with a bachelor of science degree. He joined the Army in 1977. After being discharged, he returned to Junction City and was a sales representative with KAW Furniture. He later was a sales representative for Broadway Furniture in Wichita, Kan. He moved to Plainview in 1984 and did volunteer work for Open Hand. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include a sister, Lyn Kirchhoff of Plainview. Lloyd W. Anglin WHEELER - Lloyd W. Anglin, 91, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Mr. Anglin was born in Gassville, Ark. He moved from Vinson, Okla., to Wheeler County with his family in 1917. He married Ina Mae Walser in 1925 at Wheeler. He was a self-employed house mover. He was a Wheeler County Commissioner from 1945 to 1952. He also was a member of First Baptist Church and a 50-year member of Wheeler Masonic Lodge No. 1099. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lois Rochelle of Pampa and Billie Jean Deeds of Laureldale, Pa.; a brother, Don Anglin of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He was raised in the Tulia area and attended Elkins and Tulia schools. He farmed west of Tulia in Castro County most of his life. He was a member of Toastmasters and Swisher County Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993. Mr. McGuire was born in Quanah and married Verna Jo Anderson in 1941 at Altus, Okla. He had lived in Hardeman County all of his life. Mr. McGuire had retired as a supervisor with the Georgia Pacific Railway. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Association of Retired Persons and the Breakfast Club. Mr. McGuire was an Army veteran who served in the Philippines during World War II. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy Dow of Mountain Home, Idaho; two sisters, Josie B. Brown of Vernon and Lea Marie Neeley of Asher, Okla.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The last 20 years he was employed at Stettner Clinic in Lubbock as a pharmacist. He was a member at First Christian Church of Amarillo. "Slim" Dennis in 1936 at Pauls Valley, Okla. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Barbara Grissom and Wilma Parks, both of Houston, Darlene Cotten of Amarillo and Clara Dennis, Mae Conner and Pat McCain, all of Pampa; two sons, Dwight Dennis and Aldo Dennis, both of Pampa; two sisters, Minnie Woodruff of Maysville and Dovie Ivy of Odessa; three brothers, K.J. Clara Inglis TULIA - Clara Inglis, 70, died Saturday, March 8, 1997. Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Inglis was born in Swearengen. She married Dee Inglis in 1945 at Hale Center. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She grew up in Anton and attended schools at Spade. She graduated from Spade High School. She attended Texas Tech University and Draughon's Business College. In 1948 she moved to Cotton Center and moved to Pecos and then moved to Tulia in 1957. She was a financial secretary at the First Baptist Church for eight years. She was also a lecturer for Weight Watchers in Tulia and Plainview. She was a member of the Tulia Literacy Arts Club since 1959. She taught the Young Married Sunday School Class and Fourth-grade Sunday School Class for several years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marta Dee Schwede in 1984. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melody Finkner of Petersburg and Marcia Nunn of Amarillo; a son, Kyle Inglis of Highland Village; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Anderson of Anton; a sister, Sandra Burdette of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Rose Hill Cemetery. Howard B. Edmondson MATADOR - Howard B. Edmondson, 84, died Saturday, March 8, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church of Matador with the Rev. Rickey Lawrence, pastor of the Full Gospel Church of Roaring Springs, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Edmondson was born in Matador and was a lifelong resident. He married Bonnie Webb in 1939 at Matador. He served in the Air Force during World War II and served as Matador's city secretary for nine years. Mr. Edmondson operated a Phillips 66 wholesale agency and service station until his retirement. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Edmondson of Galveston; a brother, Julian Edmondson of Amarillo; and a grandchild. Ethel E. Pope CHILDRESS - Ethel E. Pope, 91, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Northfield Cemetery at Northfield with Clem Timmons and R.C. Elliott officiating Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mrs. Pope was born in Northfield. She had lived in Milsap and Matador and on the Mill Iron Ranch in Hall and Collingsworth counties before moving to Childress in 1990. She married Henry Pope in 1922 at Matador. He died in 1990. Mrs. Pope also was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Pope, and a son, Gene Pope. Mrs. Pope was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Monk of Siletz, Ore., and June Moss of Matador; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Rev. Joe Ernest Lee PLAINVIEW - The Rev. Joe Ernest Lee died Friday, March 7, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights, and the Rev. A.C. Hamilton, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Flomot Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. The Rev. Lee moved Flomot in 1944 and moved to Plainview in 1952. He moved to Spur in 1954 and moved back to Plainview in 1961. The Rev. Lee married Edna Ross in 1924 at Post. She died in 1986. He married Elizabeth Hartley in 1987 at Plainview. The Rev. Lee had served as a Baptist minister for 73 years. He had been a pastor at churches in Peacock, Flomot, Spur and Post. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Louise Rains of Mayhill, N.M., and Carolyn Horn of Waco; a son, Orville Lee of Flomot; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Barbara Rose Ward DALHART - Barbara Rose Ward, 58, died Friday, March 7, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Peoples Church with the Rev. Jerry Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Ward was born and raised in Dalhart. She worked for the Sands Restaurant for over 20 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Emerson Ward. Survivors include three sons, Michael Lee Barrow, Boyd Barrow and Rowdy Ward all of Dalhart; two daughters, Nancy Cruz of Hereford and Ann Floyd of Missouri; three brothers, Leroy Cagle of Lubbock, Gene Cagle of Phoenix and Darrall Cagle of Prescott, Ariz.
