Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Lundegreen was born in Leon, Iowa. and had lived in Amarillo for 94 years. He was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lundegreen, in 1977. Survivors include three daughters, Ida Wester of Guymon, Okla., Peggy Hart of Amarillo and Marylene Harness of San Angelo; three sons, Asa Lundegreen, Gene Lundegreen and Perry Lundegreen, all of Amarillo; a sister, Hope Johnson of Amarillo; a brother, J.R. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ihne was born in Burlington, Iowa. She moved to Clarksville, Tenn., from Burlington in 1964. She moved to Grand Island, Neb., in 1966 and to Amarillo in 1974. She married Richard Ihne in 1950 at Davenport, Iowa. He died in 1986. Mrs. Ihne was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, LuAnn Kime of Amarillo, Susan Yenne of St. Cloud, Minn., and Carol Ihne of Pampa; a son, Roger Ihne of Houston; a brother, Wilbur Peckham of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Mrs. McCollum was born and raised in Quanah. She graduated from Quanah High School. After her marriage in 1940 to Troy McCollum in Oklahoma City, she lived in Oklahoma City. She moved to Mayfield in 1955 and to Edmonson in 1957. She was a member of the Edmonson First Baptist Church and served as church clerk for many years, and also worked with the pre-school children. She moved to Amarillo in 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 21. The family requests memorials be to St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Douglas E. Stephens Douglas E. Stephens, 53, of Timber Creek Canyon, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon with the Rev. Windell Taylor, chaplain of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Stephens was born in Amarillo. He attended Amarillo High School and entered the Army at age 16. He served in the Korean War and survived being taken as a prisoner of war. He married Mary Shelnutt Lane in 1983 at Amarillo. He worked as a truck driver for 29 years and was employed by Dallas Mavis Transport for 19 years. He was an alderman and volunteer fireman for the village of Timber Creek Canyon. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sherry McKamie of Austin, Renee Stephens and Dawn Donahue, both of Wildflower, Ill., and Leah Stephens of Amarillo; two sons, David Shultz of Minneapolis and Noel Stephens of Los Osos, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Debra Johnson of Amarillo and Janie Martinez of Palmdale, Calif.; two sisters, Wanda Spangler of Bakersfield, Calif., and Johnnie Sibel of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Larry Stephens of San Antonio, Tex Stevens of Fort Smith, Ark., and Ross Stephens of Bakersfield; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Ada Laura Ward HOOKER, Okla. - Ada Laura Ward, 62, a former resident of Hooker, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Morning Star United Methodist Church in Hough with the Rev. Toxey Miller officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker. Mrs. Ward was born in 1935 in Watertown, S.D. She married Sidney Ward in 1951 and they moved to Hooker in 1968. Ten years later, she moved to Dodge City, Kan., where she worked for Excel and owned her own business. She taught a children's Bible study class at First Southern Baptist Church of Dodge City for several years. She later moved to Casa Grande, Ariz., in 1991 to be near her younger daughter and her first great-grandchild. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Casa Grande and was employed by J.C. Penney in Dodge City. Survivors include four sons, Dennis Ward of Dardanelle, Ark., Carl Ward of Hooker, Steven Ward of Dodge City and Kevin Ward of Ford, Kan.; two daughters, Della Johnson of Dodge City and Christie Metcalf of Miami, Okla.; two brothers, Leo Christian of Nebraska and Dale Christian of Durant; a sister, Joyce Tercott of Albany, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. New Mexico Robert Culvey TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Robert "Bob'' Culvey, 62, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, minister, officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Santa Fe by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Culvey was born in Lock Haven, Pa. He was employed as a cook for the Tucumcari Truck Terminal for 23 years. He served in the Air Force for six years and was discharged in 1959. He was a member of the Arch Fitzsimmons Post American Legion, the Tucumcari Elks Club and the Apache Wells Lions Club. He also was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Culvey; four sons, Robert Culvey and Terry Culvey, both of Connecticut, Michael Culvey of Georgia and Allan Culvey of Tucumcari; two daughters, Kathy Culvey of Alabama and Carla Culvey of Las Cruces; three stepdaughters, Sue Bogart and Jeanette Teakell, both of Tucumcari, and Annett Radford of Oklahoma; three stepsons, Sammy Johnson of California, Ray Rucker of Virginia and Beaver Littell of Tucumcari; a brother, Vincent Earl Culvey of Pennsylvania; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home from noon today until 9 a.m. Monday. Joe N. Alexander CLOVIS, N.M. - Joe N. Alexander, 77, died Friday Aug. 8, 1997. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mr. Alexander was born in 1919 at Forbes, Colo. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Margaret Elisa Jacobsen in 1940 and they moved in 1945 to Clovis where he lived until his death. He worked for Stansell's Thriftway in Clovis. He was a life member of the Clovis Masonic Lodge No. 40 A.F. & A.M. He became a member of the lodge in 1948 and served as master of the lodge in 1959. At the time of his death, he was serving as Sword Bearer of the Grand Lodge of New Mexico. Mr. Alexander was a 32 Degree KCCH Scottish Rite Mason and a York Rite Mason, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He also was a member of First Christian Church in Clovis and Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 3015. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Charles Alexander. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son, Richard Lee Alexander of Columbus, Ga.; a sister, Wilma Schneider of Pueblo, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Mildred Erwin CLOVIS, N.M. - Mildred Erwin, 95, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Boydstun officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Erwin was born in Athens, Texas, and had been a longtime Clovis resident. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and attended Prince Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Reed, in 1995. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Hicks was born in Sulphur, Okla., and had been a Clovis resident since 1925. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1930. He retired as the maintenance supervisor for the Clovis public schools in 1974. He was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Winona Hicks; two sons, Darrell Lee Hicks of Calumet, Mich., and Donald Floyd Hicks of Clovis; three sisters, Allie Gilham of Clovis, Evangline Boykin of Ruidoso and Geraldine Curtis of Pinole, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Domitilia S. Chavez CLOVIS, N.M. - Domitilia S. Chavez, 75, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Muffley Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Chavez was born in Vaughn and was raised in Punta de Agua. She married Elfego Chavez in Estancia and they moved to Clovis in the 1940s. She was a homemaker and member of the Fourth and Cameo Church of Christ. Her husband preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include three sons, Mike Chavez, George Chavez and Paul Chavez, all of Clovis; five daughters, Seferina Torres of Chandler, Ariz., Rosemary Van Dover of Portales, Barbara Barela, Priscilla Hernandez and Pauline Griego, all of Clovis; three brothers, Lawrence Sandoval of Clovis, Vince Sandoval of McIntosh and Manuel Sandoval of Albuquerque; two sisters, Sally Reyna of Clovis and Isabell Sedillo of Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Area John Drew Knoll SHAMROCK - John Drew Knoll, 61, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Calvary Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Knoll was born in Shamrock. He had spent the last six years in Shamrock, moving back from California, where he lived for 17 years. While in California, he was a musician, a horse trader and jeweler. He served in the Army and was a member of the military police in Germany. He was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church. Survivors include his mother, John Faye Green of Shamrock; a son, Mark Page of Weatherford, Okla.; a daughter, Denna Regan of Hollis, Okla.; a brother, Joe Frank Knoll of Shamrock; a sister, Joan Inman of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. George Virgil Dorman WHEELER - George Virgil "Bus'' Dorman, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Church of Christ with Bill Morrison, minister, and Tommy Seay of Round Rock officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery at Shamrock by Wright Funeral Home. Mr. Dorman was born in Wheeler County and had been a lifelong Wheeler County resident. He married Myrtle Green in 1933 at Hollis, Okla. He played semi-pro baseball at Twitty from 1932 to 1933. After moving to Oklahoma City in 1934, he took the team from Apache, Okla., to the state tournament. He then played at Beaumont and Lake Charles, La., before moving to Amarillo. Mr. Dorman was an original member of the Amarillo Gold Sox professional baseball team. He played with them from 1939 to 1941 and played in Mexico in 1942. His professional baseball career ended in Little Rock, Ark., in 1944. In 1947, he served for one year as the unofficial coach of the Amarillo High School baseball team and led the team to the state tournament. In 1978, Mr. Dorman was inducted into the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame and was presented the Special Achievement Award. He was awarded the Pioneer Spirit Award by the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce in 1996. Mr. Dorman moved to Wheeler and was elected as Wheeler County sheriff, serving from 1951 until retiring in 1976. He was a founding member of the Shamrock Sheriff's Posse and a member of the Texas Sheriff's Association. He also was a member of the Wheeler Athletic Booster Club, the Wheeler Kiwanis Club and the Shamrock Booster Club. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Yolanda Williams of Portales, N.M., and Becky Case of Wheeler; a son, Danny Dorman of Wheeler; a sister, Viola Carver of Amarillo; four brothers, B.F. Dorman and Jerry Dorman, both of Pampa, Charles Dorman of Grand Junction, Colo., and Don Dorman of Granbury; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery by Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis and Myers-Long Funeral Home of Turkey. Mr. Moss was born in Ely. He married Peggy Jean Rampy in 1944. He was a member of the Memphis Masonic Lodge and the Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years. He also was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Moss of Yukon, Okla.; a daughter, Laura Sue Stevens of Stinnett; a sister, Rebecca Moss Clark of Memphis; two brothers, Robert Moss and James Moss, both of Memphis; and four grandchildren. Lloyd D. Anderson TULIA - Lloyd D. "Sonny'' Anderson, 59, of Clarendon, a former Tulia resident, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997. Mr. Anderson was born in Borger and raised in Tulia. He was a cowboy and a saddlemaker. He had worked as a cowhand in Swisher County for several feedlots. Survivors include two daughters, Becki Matthews of Tulia and Deana Weavers of Amarillo; parents, Edythe and Harvie Kinser of Tulia; two sisters, Marilyn Barnett and Shannah Kinser of Tulia; two brothers, Dale Anderson of Fritch and Leon Anderson of Wildorado; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Nadine Haile Martin CLARENDON - Nadine Haile Martin, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997. Services were Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor, and the Rev. Rob Seale, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. Mrs. Martin was born in Hutchinson County and had been a resident of Donley County since 1919. She married Clyde Gibson "Shine'' Martin in 1936 at Clarendon. He died in 1981. Mrs. Martin was a hairdresser for several years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lane of Clarendon and Ann "Marti'' Blasingame of Paris, Texas; a son, Clyde H. Martin of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Edwin Hutcherson MEMPHIS - Edwin Hutcherson, 89, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis and Myers-Long Funeral Home of Turkey. Mr. Hutcherson was born in Salisbury. After graduating from Memphis High School, he attended Wichita Falls Junior College and Texas Tech University. He played football at both colleges. He married Mildred Beckum in 1932 at Sayre, Okla. She died July 20. He also was preceded in death by a son, Bob Hutcherson, in 1981. Mr. Hutcherson was a longtime farmer. He was a county commissioner for 24 years before retiring in 1977. He also was gin manager of the Paymaster Gin for several years. He was a member of the Methodist church and served on the board of stewards. He also served on the board of the REA and on the Memphis School Board for many years. Mr. Hutcherson was a Mason and a member and president of the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He served as president of the Hall County Society of Crippled Children and Adults and served with the Easter Seal Foundation when the society was affiliated with Easter Seal Inc. He was instrumental in the establishment of Hall County Hospital. He also helped with senior citizen housing. Survivors include a daughter, Lera Kate Powell of Plano; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Methodist church. Alma Kenmore DIMMITT - Alma Kenmore, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Kenmore was born in Sweetwater. She lived in Ruidoso, N.M., before moving to Dimmitt in 1987. She married Gene Kenmore in 1937 at El Reno, Okla. He died in 1986. Mrs. Kenmore was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Thursday Bridge Club. Survivors include two sons, Harlan Kenmore of Anthony, Kan., and Joe Kenmore of Ruidoso; five brothers, P.O. Karen Dee Ward McCloy MORSE - Karen Dee "Shorty'' Ward McCloy, 50, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997, in Borger. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the family ranch, five miles southwest of Morse, with the Rev. Dale Hirschman officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mrs. McCloy was born in 1947 at Trinidad, Colo. She spent her early years on the family ranch near Trinchera, Colo., and later graduated from Hoehne High School in 1965. She married Allen McCloy in 1968 at Trinidad. She graduated from Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla., in 1971. Mrs. McCloy was the IFCA Regional Barrel Racing Champion and National Reserve Champion in 1979. She was past president of the Pringle-Morse PTA and was a member of the NIRA and the TCRA. She had worked in the family feedlot and rodeo production business for many years. She was a member of the Stinnett United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kelly Dee McCloy of Morse; a son, Marty Allen McCloy of Morse; three sisters, Elaine Bixby of Panhandle, Kathleen Hesse of Amarillo and Eleanor Weir of LaVeta Colo.; and her stepmother, Lowene Watts Ward of Oceanside, Calif.
