Mr. Terry was born in Miami and had been a resident of Lefors for 25 years, moving to the family farm south of Miami in 1971. He married Madalene Burress in 1945 at Wheeler. He retired from Gray County in 1981 after working for 32 years in road maintenance. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lefors. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Caron Coleman of Miami; two sisters, Florene Wieneke of Euless and Noretta Morse of Pittsburg; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Mr. Lee was born in Kent County. He graduated in 1940 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Texas Technological College, now Texas Tech University. He was an Army veteran. He moved to the Aiken community in 1948 and farmed there until retiring in 1980. He was an active member of the Lockney Cooperative Board of Directors from 1972 to 1981 and was the interim manager of the Lockney Cooperative from June 1974 to September 1974. He was awarded the 10 Millionth Dividend Dollar Award from the Lockney Cooperative in 1995. He was a Plainview Cooperative Compress Director and Executive Board member from 1974 to 1981. He received the Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year Award in 1977. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Aiken and served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon for 27 years. He married Mildred Boone in 1947. She died in 1984. He married Elzada Hardy in 1985 at Lockney. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debra Sullivan of Wolfforth; a son, David William Lee of Lockney; three sisters, Louise Freeman of Walla Walla, Wash., Berniece Spears of Sturgeon, Mo., and Lois Short of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Robert Martin MULESHOE - Robert Martin, 37, of New Boston, a former Muleshoe resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, in Colombia, South America. Mr. Herlocher was born in Salona, Pa. He married Mary New in 1953 at Salona. He had been a resident of the Morton community since 1965, moving from Salona. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a general laborer. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jean Herlocher, in 1956. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She attended the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benigo Chavez, in 1986. She moved to Canyon in 1915 and to Amarillo in 1960. She married Floyd Golden in 1921 at Canyon. He died in 1983. She graduated from West Texas State Teachers College in 1925 with a bachelor of science degree. She taught school in Friona and White Deer. She was active in the Rotary clubs of Portales, N.M., and Amarillo. The Hawaii Baptist Academy Library is named Golden Library in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Floyd Golden. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Lockmiller was born in Greenwood and had lived in the Clovis area since 1933. She married Winfred Lockmiller in 1936 at Clovis. They lived in the Ranchvale community and farmed there until moving to Clovis in 1949. She was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Dale Lockmiller of Alamogordo; a daughter, Diane Reed of Clovis; two brothers, Bob Nisbett of Las Vegas, Nev., and Pete Nisbett of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters, Polly Larsen of Duarte, Calif., and Mary Dale Wood of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the city of Lubbock Cemetery by Sanders Funeral Home. Mr. Kinard was born in McLean and attended school there. He moved to Lubbock in 1935. He married Iris Green in 1938 at Plainview. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Woodrow Baptist Church and the Knights of Pythians. He farmed until retiring. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Kinard of Fort Worth; a daughter, Carol Peiffer of Lubbock; four sisters, Anna Bell Lamb, Leora Rose and Beatrice Lester, all of Lubbock, and Loree Barker of McLean; and four grandchildren. William Charles Trowbridge LUBBOCK - William Charles "Dub" Trowbridge, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Floydada Cemetery at Floydada with Dr. Tom Mills, minister of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lubbock, officiating. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. Mr. Trowbridge was born in Floydada. He graduated from Floydada High School in 1943 and received his master's degree from West Texas State University. He married Betty Martin in 1955. He moved to Lubbock in 1981 from San Antonio. He taught school in Amarillo but spent most of his life in the crop hail insurance business. He helped start the GT General Insurance Agency in 1981. He retired in 1993. He was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Lubbock. He also was a member of Avion and the Good Sams Travel Club. He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; and a brother, Steve Trowbridge of Petersburg.
