Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with J. Henderson of 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Mrs. Easter was born in Sparta, Tenn., and moved to Hollis, Okla. in 1912. She moved to the South Plains in 1940 and to Saginaw in 1981. She was a homemaker and attended 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ. She married J.I. Easter in 1921 at Hollis. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Easter, in 1978. Survivors include a daughter, Dessie Berry of Saginaw; two sisters, Vina Burgess of Plainview and Marie Durrough of Amarillo; a grandchild; and three greatgrandchildren. Frank Muniz Sr. LOCKNEY - Frank Muniz Sr., 80, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Juan Gutierrez of Templo Libertad officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery. Mr. Muniz was born in Pearsall and attended school in Martindale. He married Alejandra Mojica in 1934 at Maxwell. He moved to Floyd County from San Marcos in 1946. He retired from Higginbotham Bartlett in Plainview. He attended Templo Libertad in Lockney. He was preceded in death by two sons, Gilbert in 1995 and Tony in 1986. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Frank Muniz Jr. and Nick Muniz, both of Lockney; five daughters, Ofelia Hernandez and Alexandria Raissez, both of Lockney, Delia Perez of Bradenton, Fla., Alice Perez of Date City, Fla., and Dora Sanchez of Benavides; a brother, Gregorio Muniz of San Marcos; 37 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Emma Elizabeth Brinker DIMMITT - Emma Elizabeth Brinker, 91, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Gressett, youth minister at First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Foskey-LilleyMcGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Brinker was born in Alvarado. She lived in Los Angeles before moving to Dimmitt in 1994. She married John A. Brinker in 1951 at Los Angeles. He died in 1993. Mrs. Brinker was a retired nurse and a Baptist. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Louise Frazier and Nell Davis, both of Dimmitt. Edna Phelan STINNETT - Edna Phelan, 91, died Sunday, June 8, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Stinnett with the Rev. Orville Rodgers, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Rowe Cemetery at Hedley. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Phelan had been a Stinnett resident for 34 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Phelan, in 1962; and a son, Johnny Phelan, in 1980. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Phelan of Stinnett and L.B. Phelan of Pasadena; a daughter, Lucille Wiggins of Pasadena; a sister, Belva McAbee of Denver; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1010 Davis in Stinnett. Patsy McLoud DUMAS - Patsy McLoud, 62, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Bethel Assembly of God with the Rev. Robby Holcomb of the church and the Rev. Leon Laney of the Pentecostal church in Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. McLoud was born in Amarillo and had been a Dumas resident since 1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Assembly of God and the Ladies W.M. of Bethel Assembly of God. She married Derrel McLoud in 1977 at Sunray. Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Martin of Dallas; two stepsons, Monte McLoud of Oklahoma City and Micheal McLoud of Eads, Colo.; two daughters, Renee McLoud of Denver and Lori Martin of Dumas; a stepdaughter, Kimberly McLoud of New Jersey; a brother, Ben Hudson of Chickasha, Okla.; two sisters, Barbara Whitakers of Lubbock and Margie Kuykendall of Dumas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Shannon, 70, of Granbury, a former Turkey resident, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frankie Harris of Granbury officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mr. Shannon was born in Turkey. He was raised in Turkey and Portales, N.M. He was retired. He served in the Army during the Korean War and in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Charlene Morris in 1950. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Ellen R. Shannon of Arlington, Debbie White of Ashville, N.C., and Lori Redd of Granbury; a son, C. Delaine Shannon of Arlington; two sisters, Eva Cummings of Amarillo and Betty Green of Anton; and seven grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Cook's Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Margaret Davis PLAINVIEW - Margaret Davis, 71, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Garland Street Church of Christ with Karl King, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born in Phoenix and moved to Plainview in 1937. She graduated from Plainview High School. She married Dan B. Davis in 1948 at Plainview. She worked at the Hale County Tax office and Hale County Clerk's office. She retired in 1987. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carla Jo Davis of Lubbock; a son, Charles R. Davis of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and two granddaughters. Antonio Palomo Sr. PLAINVIEW - Antonio "Tony'' Palomo Sr., 73, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Colonial Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Elbert A. Fadallan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Palomo was born in Zavala County. He moved to Kress in 1948 from McGregor. He moved to Plainview in 1970. He married Clara Lonzo in 1941 at Waco. He was a deliveryman for Sears before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and RSVP. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gloria Gonzales of Plainview and Geneva Guerra of Oklahoma City; a son, Tony Palomo Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Sabina Acosta of McGregor and Juan Campos of Moody; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Amarillo Kay Larae Scholl Kay Larae Scholl, 58, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with Dr. Douglas Skinner, senior pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Scholl was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and grew up in South Sioux City, Neb. She had lived in Amarillo since 1970. She earned a bachelor's degree in speech pathology from the University of Nebraska and a master's degree in education from West Texas A&M University. She was a speech pathologist and clinical director at Amarillo Speech and Hearing Center for 25 years. Mrs. Scholl was a member of PEO and First Christian Church. She also was active in the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Chapter. She married Robert Guy Scholl in 1961 at Dakota City, Neb. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jamie Fry of Cedar Park and Anne Blair of Fort Hood; a brother, George Hirschbach of South Sioux City; and three grandchildren. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Davis was born in Spearman. She married Everett Davis in 1952 at Beaver, Okla. She had been a Baptist all of her life. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Diana Griggs, Terry Huckabay and Hettie Davis, all of Amarillo, and Athena Armer of Dalhart; two sons, Everett Lee Davis Jr. of McMinnville, Tenn., and John Davis Sr. of Humboldt, Kan.; her mother, Bessie Longcor of Perryton; two brothers, Charles Smith and Junior Smith, both of Perryton; a sister, Reba LaRue of Perryton; and 12 grandchildren. "Dick'' Baird, 70, a former Portales resident, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family plot at Raton. Arrangements are by Errington Mortuary of Raton. Dr. Baird was a chiropractic physician and established the Baird Chiropractic Center in Portales, where he had practiced for more than 10 years. He also had practiced in South Carolina. Following his retirement in 1986 he moved to Raton. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; two sons, Rich Baird and Rob Baird, both of Raton; a daughter, Donna Hilliard of Portales; a sister, Shirley Taylor of South Carolina; and three grandsons. Alvah Jo Dunn CLOVIS, N.M. - Alvah Jo Dunn, 73, died Saturday, June 7, 1997. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in The Chapel with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Dunn was born in Kress, Texas. She married John Cecil Dunn in 1941 at Amarillo. She worked as a welder in the shipyards at Richmond, Calif., during World War II on Liberty ships. She was a clerk at Clovis City Hall and a meat wrapper at both Clovis Safeway stores. She also worked with her husband in distribution of the Albuquerque, Lubbock and Amarillo newspapers in the Clovis area. Survivors include two daughters, Stanley McCollum Steele of Boston and Linda Lee Jameson of Ruidoso; a son, John Michael Dunn of Clovis; a sister, Wanza D. Smiley of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Neal S. Dixon CLOVIS, N.M. - Neal S. Dixon, 63, died Monday, June 9, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mission Garden of Memories with the Rev. Scott Blazek of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Dixon was born in Montezuma, Colo. He had been a resident of Clovis for 21 years. After serving in the Marine Corps he worked in the construction. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse B. Dixon.
