Mrs. Chandler was born in Borger and raised in Denver City, where she graduated from high school. She married Victor Chandler in 1974 at Brownfield and they moved to Dalhart in 1982. She owned and operated Kinfolk Designs and was a member of the Panhandle Ceramic Association. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tammie Gaylon of Lubbock and Tonnia Williams of Denver City; a son, Dan Minter of Dalhart; her father, Jessie David Thompson of New Mexico; a brother, David Thompson of Lubbock; and three grandchildren. Owen L. Cox FRITCH - Owen L. Cox, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Lyndon Shepherd, of Pampa, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Cox was born in Atchison, Kan., and moved to Fritch in 1939 from Morse. He married Leota Heitmann in 1941 at Whiting, Kan. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II and had been employed as an operator for Huber. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tracy Lee Cox of Knoxville, Tenn., and Phillips O. Cox of Fritch; a daughter, Dianna C. McGill of Panhandle; three sisters, Maxine Baker of Denver, Colo., Dorothy Yates of Fritch and Marylin Shepherd of Pampa; and seven grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Salvation Army or a favorite charity. Ellis Lemons HEREFORD - Ellis Lemons, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997. He graduated from Panhandle High School and attended Amarillo College. He married Anna Sue Cox in 1938. He had ranched in Carson, Gray and Randall counties before moving to Hereford in 1962. He and his wife raised cattle in the Texas Panhandle, northeastern New Mexico and southeastern Colorado. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Suzane Rogers of Amarillo; a son, Neal Lemons of Pampa; two sisters, Helen Wells of Pampa and Rosallie Austin of Dallas; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Gloria Ulibarri SILVERTON - Gloria Ulibarri, 28, formerly of Silverton, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, in Amarillo. Mrs. Ulibarri was born in Tulia. She married Raymond J. Ulibarri in 1988 at Clovis, N.M. She graduated from Silverton High School in 1986. She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church at Amarillo. Ioma Page Stokes DIMMITT - Ioma Page Stokes, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Gressett, youth minister, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Homes. Mrs. Stokes was born in Clayton, N.M., and moved to Dimmitt in 1957 from Lubbock. She had worked for High Plains Clinic and Plains Memorial Hospital. She married N.B. Stokes in 1938 at O'Donnell; he died in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 819 and had served as past worthy matron as well as many other stations. She was past vice president of AORT Chapter 11 of Lubbock, Dimmitt VFW Auxiliary, Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, TOPS 385 Club and Quilters Guild. She had served as den mother for Boy Scouts and was a GA leader. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Don Stokes, in 1991, and Ronny Stokes, in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Jim Stokes of Reno, Nev., and Lee Stokes of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Sue Hawkins of Hart; seven grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. She attended the University of Cambridge at England and the University of Hauage at the Netherlands. She was a homemaker. She married Olin Gann in 1964 at Augusta, Ga. She had been a member of Alamo East Ladies Club for 26 years, where she also was a volunteer. She had attended Jan Werner Adult Day Care for the past four years. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Assembly of God. Survivors include two sons, Finnis E. Hughes Jr. of Amarillo and Alford K. Belcher of Friona; two daughters, Dixie G. Nowlin of Friona and Frances L. Johnson of Amarillo; two brothers, Oswald Varner of San Bernadino, Calif., and Russell Varner of Friona; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kohler was born in Purcell, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1927. She was worked as a beautician for 50 years and was owner of Jettie's Beauty Shop. She married Kenneth Kohler in 1927 at Grandfield, Okla.; he died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Ken Kohler of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. Andrews, 74, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997. Cremation is by the funeral home. Mr. Andrews was born in Plainview and had lived most of his life in Amarillo. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School and attended Texas A&M University. He was a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was a pilot in the 45th bomber Squadron. He was stationed in Great Britain. He married Omega Singleton in 1945 at Texarkana; she died in 1994. In 1966, they moved to Liberia, West Africa, where he was involved in commercial construction. He built the Tascosa County Club and was one of the founding members. Survivors include three daughters, Caroline Woodburn of Amarillo, Amy Chambers of Gainesville, Fla., and Dona Robinson of Inkom, Idaho; and 10 grandchildren. The family will be at 2612 Juniper and requests memorials be to a favorite charity. New Mexico Tena Marie Mason CLOVIS, N.M. - Tena Marie Mason, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Boone-Wells Funeral Home at Greenville, Miss. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Greenville with the Rev. Patrick Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery at Greenville. Local arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Mason was born in Arcola, Miss. She married Frank Mason in 1938 at Greenville, where she lived until moving to Clovis in 1980. She had been a nurse's aide and was currently working as a senior companion. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Community. Survivors include a daughter, Rose Connolly of Clovis; a sister, Mary Maranto of Greenville; a brother, Joe Maranto of Greenville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingsland Community Church. She moved to Kingsland 15 years ago from Happy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wilkes. Survivors include a daughter, Lenora Starnes of Hoover Valley; three sons, Odell Wilkes of Kingsland, Carl Wilkes of Grapeland and Don Wilkes of San Angelo; 14 grandchildren; and 25 greatgrandchildren.
