Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery at Tulia with the Rev. Don Auten, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Beeville and raised in Plainview. He attended school in Plainview. He moved to Amarillo in 1992. He was a laborer for IBP in Amarillo and also had worked for United Filters in Amarillo. Survivors include two sons, Andy Rodriguez and Anthony Rodriguez, both of Tulia; his mother, Lupe Cardenas of Beeville; five sisters, Lanore Arredondo and Alice Sanchez, both of Amarillo, Flora Rodriguez of Post, and Rachel Keller and Dora Garcia, both of Beeville; and two brothers, Tito Rodriguez Jr. of Amarillo and Pedro Rodriguez of Ohio. Anita Holland Anita "Mrs. Frank O.'' Holland, 76, of Amarillo, died Monday, May 12, 1997. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Usiak officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Holland retired in 1983 from the Amarillo Girl Scout Council after working 21 years. She directed Camp Kiwanis for five years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a past president of the United Methodist Women of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Symphony Guild, the Amarillo Art Alliance, Lone Star Ballet Guild and Widowed Persons Service. Mrs. Holland was a supporter and a patron of the arts. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of numerous travel organizations. Her husband, Frank Holland, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Holland Martin of Amarillo and Jan Holland Rowe of Bedford; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Texas Plains Girl Scout Council Campership Fund, St. Paul United Methodist Church or the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center. William Clay Spurlock William Clay Spurlock, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Stratford Cemetery at Stratford with Randy Haralson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Spurlock was born in the Spurlock community of Sherman County. He had lived in Amarillo for two years. He earned his bachelor's degree from Panhandle A&M at Goodwell, Okla., and his master's degree from Oklahoma A&M at Stillwater, Okla. In 1941 he served as assistant agronomist with the Soil Conservation Service at McAlester, Okla. From 1941 to 1942 he taught at Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Ark. He later served as the county agent for Ochiltree County. Mr. Spurlock had farming and ranching interests in Sherman County. He served as a charter member of the board of directors of the Sun Bank in Sunray and Dumas. He also was a past director of the Sunray Co-op and a past member of the Sunray school board. He was a member of Sunray United Methodist Church and had served in many capacities including being on the committee in charge of building the original sanctuary. He married Joyce Gilbert in 1946. She died in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Stephens and Sheryl Lankford, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Travis Spurlock, Alvin Spurlock and Neal Spurlock, all of the Spurlock community; a sister, Elsie Hill of Wichita Falls; and four grandchildren. Elsewhere Frank Parsley GENTRY, Ark. - Frank Parsley, 86, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, in Fayetteville. Services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Gentry First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery at Guymon, Okla., with the Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Arrangements are by BunchRoberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Parsley was born in Felt, Okla. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He moved to the Gentry area 35 years ago from Wheeler, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gentry. He was preceded in death by three wives, Corene Fields Parsley, Georgia Glass Feemster Parsley and Nellie Robinson Weems Parsley. Survivors include a son, Ed Parsley of Guymon; two daughters, Loretta Millsap of Gentry and Kay Stiles of Wheeler; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Annie Faye Watson DENVER - Annie Faye Watson, 78, a former Pampa, Texas, and Lubbock, Texas, resident, died Monday, May 5, 1997. Memorial services were at 6:30 p.m. Friday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church at Denver. Additional memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church at Pampa and at 5:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church at Lubbock. The body was cremated. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery at Lubbock. Arrangements were by Chamberlain Funeral Services of Denver. Mrs. Watson was born in Panola County, Texas, and raised in Morton, Texas. She graduated from Morton High School in 1936. She received her bachelor's degree in home economics in 1940 and a master's in education in 1954 from Texas Technological College. She taught third through ninth grades for 37 years in Morton, Pampa and Carrizozo, N.M. She also had worked as a real estate agent with Quentin Williams Real Estate in Pampa. She moved to Denver in 1994. Mrs. Watson participated in the Women's Bible Study Group at First Baptist Church and was active in the singles ministry. She worked with the Cub Scouts and was a co-leader of Girl Scout Troop 696 in Pampa. She served as secretary for several years for the Pampa Knife and Fork Club. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Texas Classroom Teachers Association, the National Education Association and the Twentieth Century Study Club. She also was a member of the Sonshiners Class at First Baptist Church in Pampa, Winsome Class at First United Methodist Church in Lubbock and the Order of the Eastern Star in Morton and Carrizozo. Survivors include three daughters, AnnaJo Watson of Denver, Susan Curtis of Austin, Texas, and Terrie Turner of Dumas, Texas; two sons, Wendell Watson of Flower Mound, Texas, and Thomas Watson of Denver; a sister, Era Willis of Rowlett, Texas; a brother, Ermon Miller of Temple, Texas; and 10 grandchildren. Komer Breast Cancer Research Foundation or a local hospice. Billy Holloway AUSTIN - Billy "Wayne'' Holloway, 66, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home with Elder David L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery. Mr. Holloway was born in Altus, Okla. He spent his childhood in Amarillo and joined the Navy at age 17. In 1959 he moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. He received his bachelor's of science from the School of Pharmacy. He was preceded in death by a son, William "Bill'' Holloway, in 1990. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Linda Holloway; two sons, Roland Holloway and Van Watson; a daughter, Stacy Howard; mother, Charlotte Roberts of Amarillo; a stepbrother, Jimmy Roberts; and three grandchildren. New Mexico Meada Warren Mitchell CLOVIS, N.M. - Meada Warren Mitchell, 88, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hoyt Welch officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in House Cemetery at House. Mrs. Mitchell was born in House. She retired as an LVN and had worked for many years at Clovis Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Head; and a son, David Head. She married Herman C. Mitchell; they were active members of Meals on Wheels. They belonged to First Baptist Church of Clovis, where she was in the Dorcas Sunday School class. She also made quilts with the House Quilting Club. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nina Akin of McAlister; four stepdaughters, Charleene Lennox of Albuquerque, Elaine Edwardson of Phoenix, Ella Pierce of Nashville, Tenn., and Lee Smith of Borger, Texas; three grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Margaret Morris KEYES, Okla. - Margaret Morris, 81, died Saturday, May 10, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Jason Kearney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Willowbar Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Morris was born in Keyes and graduated from Keyes High School. She married Byron Clark Morris in 1934 at Boise City. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and First Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jackie Morris of Miami, Okla., and Ron Morris of Dallas; a daughter, Roxie Windsor of Bethany; two sisters, Florence Ross of Hotchkiss, Colo., and Naomi Hiner of Keyes; a brother, Virgil Miller of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Area Ida Mae Holmes Johnson PAMPA - Ida Mae Holmes Johnson, 85, died Friday, May 9, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Larry Brown, associate minister, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Johnson was born in Clarksville at Red River County. She moved to Pampa from Clarksville in 1943. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She married Earl Johnson in 1979 at Pampa. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Alvis Lee Sanders of Pampa. Gloria Mahaney FARWELL - Gloria Mahaney, 67, died Saturday, May 10, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Farwell Church of Christ with Dennis Dillon and Hal Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Mrs. Mahaney was born in Lamesa. She attended school in Lamesa and Odessa and graduated from Monahans High School at Monahans. She was a member of the Farwell Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, C.L.; a daughter, Lana Throckmorton of Loop; a son, Robin Mahaney of Farwell; two sisters, Jean Wilson of Lamesa and Billie Rice of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Harold W. Melton BORGER - Harold W. Melton, 76, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Private services were Monday by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Melton was born in Quanah and had lived in Borger for 33 years. He was a retired farmer and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. He married Catherine Hild in 1947 at Newcastle, Colo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy Lee Melton of Salt Lake City and H.W. Melton of Borger; six daughters, Catherine Ann Fulton of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Mary Sue Thompson of Woolcreek, Okla., Terri Melton of Borger, Margie Lynn Barker of De Armanville, Ala., Tilda Lynn Melton of Memphis, Tenn., and Karen Diane Melton of Borger; two brothers, Harvey Melton of Memphis, Texas, and Ray Melton of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two sisters, Louise Peggran of Joplin, Mo., and Loucille Porche of Borger; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Victor Ray Hutchison PAMPA - Victor Ray Hutchison, 32, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Roger Roundy, bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Hutchison was born in Pampa and had been a lifelong Pampa resident. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1985. He had been a well service operator for Wagner Well Service for the past five years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his father, Phillip Hutchison of Pampa; a brother, Mark Hutchison of Amarillo; and his fiancee, Leisa Edmiston of Pampa. The family requests memorials be to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. Naomi Black MULESHOE - Naomi Black, 80, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Burial will be in Muleshoe Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born in Crowell. She had been a resident of the Muleshoe area since 1929, moving from Roanoke. She married Ralph Black in 1932 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church and the Muleshoe Moonlight Extension Club. Survivors include eight sons, Bill Black of Plainview, Lyndol Black, Ronnie Black, Gaylon Black, Dean Black, Rex Black and Kim Black, all of Muleshoe, and Ricky Black of Lazbuddie; five daughters, Katherine McCain of Odessa, Maxine Rogers and Shirley Waggoner, both of Muleshoe, Karon Murray of Lubbock and Rita Morris of Arlington; two sisters, Ozell Cherry of Muleshoe and Dovie Easter of Palestine; two brothers, Elmo Owen of Muleshoe and Arrie Owen of Battle Mountain, Nev.; 34 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. Jewell Lutts HEREFORD - Jewell "Meme'' Lutts, 94, died Sunday, May 11, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery at Memphis with the Rev. Ellis Parson of Summerfield Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel. Mrs. Lutts was born in Bolin Green, Ky. She was a homemaker all of her life. She married John "Bud'' Lutts in 1918 at Clarksville, Tenn. He died in 1968. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy May of Quitaque and Billie Whitehorn of Hereford; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to Summerfield Baptist Church. Jettie O'Nita Ray Prickett HOWARDWICK - Jettie O'Nita Ray Prickett, 75, died Monday, May 12, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Howardwick with the Rev. Jim Powell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. of Clarendon. Mrs. Prickett was born in Robertson County and raised in Stamford. She married Eugene Debs Bellah in 1942 at Stamford. He preceded her in death. She then married Charlie R. Prickett in 1956 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Eugene Bellah, in 1964. She and her husband drove a mule train to New York City for the World's Fair in 1963 and 1964 and arrived back in Amarillo in October 1965. They were sponsored by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. They were engaged in farming in the Lubbock, Lockney and Floydada area until moving to Amarillo in 1961. They moved to Panhandle in 1965 and were engaged in farming there until moving to Howardwick in 1979. Mrs. Prickett was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Howardwick. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Autry of Amarillo; three stepdaughters, Louise Popplewell of Amarillo, Willa Fowler of Missouri and Margaret Ann Dudley of Clovis; a son, Dennie Bellah of Temple; a stepson, Russell Prickett of Atlanta; two sisters, Eva Robertson of Leesville, La., and Cora Reynolds of Abilene; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
