Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Luis Perez, associate pastor of South Plains Church at Levelland, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery. Mrs. Cox was born and raised in Walsall, England, and attended school there. She was a lathe operator during World War II. She married Emory Cox in 1944 at Witney Oxford, England. They moved to Amarillo in 1946 and lived there until moving to Floydada in 1950. Mr. Cox died in 1981. While living in Floydada, Mrs. Cox worked as a seamstress. She also worked in the Floydada school cafeteria before retiring in 1982. Mrs. Cox was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Floydada. Survivors include a daughter, Karan Estrada of Plainview; two sons, Leonard Cox of Flatonia and Kenneth Cox of Amarillo; a brother, Leonard Blandford of Addlaid, Australia; three sisters, Sally Stackhouse and Mary Johnson, both of Walsall, and Edna Brearley of Willen Hall, England; and five grandchildren. Jerry Lee Dooley PAMPA - Jerry Lee Dooley, 73, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Fellowship Church with Lonny Robbins, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Dooley was born in Pontotoc, Okla. He moved to Pampa in 1967 from Farmington, N.M. He worked for Arthur Brothers and Mundy Contractors for 25 years before retiring in 1991. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was assigned to Company B, 1st Training Battalion and trained troops for overseas duty in the medical division. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Mr. Dooley married Sara Jane Lopiccolo in 1946. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Whatley of Pampa; two sisters, Dorothy Uhlick of Fittstown, Okla., and Flora Barrett of Moore, Okla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cates was born in Milam County. She married W.B. Cates in 1934 at Crosbyton. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, the Whirlwind Sams Travel Club and the Floydada Senior Citizens. Mrs. Cates was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Wayne Cates in 1941 and Clinton Dale Cates in 1942. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Ms. Bernal was born in Weslaco and moved to Plainview in 1963. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended West Texas A&M University. She worked as a corrections officer for the Marshall Formby prison. She also worked for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center for many years. Ms. Bernal was a member of the Spanish Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her father, Frank Bernal of Plainview; a sister, Sylvia Davila of San Angelo; and three brothers, Saul Bernal and Samuel Bernal, both of Plainview, and Sergio Bernal of Hale Center. Lucille Kennedy Cullison MCLEAN - Lucille Kennedy Cullison, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Buell Wells, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Cullison was born in Alanreed and attended McLean High School. She married Marshall Tucker in 1927 at Alanreed. They moved to Waller. Mr. Tucker died in 1962. She married Roy Cullison in McLean. He died in 1977. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Vogt, in 1993. Mrs. Cullison reported the McLean news for the Pampa Daily News and the McLean Weekly News. She was a member of the McLean Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and served as president for a one-year term. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School class. She had been a resident of the McLean Care Center since 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Frankie Everett of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a brother, Steve Kennedy of Amarillo; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Turner was born in Burnett. When she was 13, her family moved to Artesia, N.M. She married Fred William Cawyer in 1942 at Artesia. They lived in various places in Texas and Oklahoma before moving to Perryton. In 1963, she married Kenneth Edward Turner. They made their home in Perryton. She worked as a florist until opening her own flower shop, Flowers By Turner, in 1968. After retiring, she worked part time at Schwalks Floor Covering and Glass. She was preceded in death by her second husband and a son, Weldon Wayne Cawyer. Survivors include a son, Fred Cawyer of Skidmore; a daughter, Betty Devers of Booker; two brothers, J.D. Henderson of Burns Flatt, Okla., and Odell Henderson of Hobbs, N.M.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Larry Lee HART - Larry Lee, 53, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997. He graduated from Hart High School, attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Angelo State University. He married Cindy Hopson Lee in 1983 at Dimmitt. Mr. Lee served on the Hart school board and the Hart Producers Co-op board of directors. He and his father were engaged in farming for several years. He was a certified public accountant. Mrs. Cooper was born in Pimento, Ind. She moved to McLean from Dalhart in 1979. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pampa. She married Archie Cooper in 1937 at Keyes, Okla. Dona M. Bishop WELLINGTON - Dona M. Bishop, 89, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, in Pampa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ikner, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery. Ms. Bishop was born in Montague County. She had been a longtime resident of Wellington, moving from Simpson, Okla., in 1916. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She also was a Sunday school teacher. She retired from The Hollywood Shop in Amarillo. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo. Ms. Hawkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Cloeta Bretthauer. Survivors include a son, James Hawkins of Pampa; two daughters, Robbie Lynch of Alvord and Billie Porterfield of Kansas; a brother, Bill Hamm of Canon City, Colo.; two sisters, Laree Richardson of Warren and Lucille Ruff of Caty; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Edith Lee Williams KEMP - Edith Lee Williams, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Amarillo. Arrangements are by Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank. Ms. Williams was born in Ada, Okla. She was a former resident of Amarillo and had lived in Kemp for the past 16 years. She was a Baptist. Oklahoma LaFerne Glenn Mott GUYMON, Okla. - LaFerne Glenn Mott, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, in Liberal, Kan. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lions Park, Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mott was born in Optima. After graduating from Guymon High School with the class of 1935, she attended Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha. She then transferred to Southeastern State Teachers College in Durant and later attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. She worked for Aetna Life Insurance Co. She married Maurice V. Mott in 1942 at Guymon. They made their home in Guymon. She was an active member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church. She was church secretary for a short while and later served as membership secretary. Along with being a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher, she was a longtime member of the chancel choir. She also accompanied the junior choir for many years. Mrs. Mott was a member of Guymon Chapter No. 419 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Tri-K Bridge Club and an ecumenical ladies Bible study. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Maurine Warren of Griggs and Mary Jane Adams of Manhattan, Kan.; a stepsister, Ramona Parks of Salina, Kan.; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Ruben Phillips Ruben Phillips, 57, of Amarillo, a former longtime Pampa resident, died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Phillips was born in Pampa and had lived in Amarillo for the past five years. He was a resident of the ADVO School. Survivors include two brothers, Robert Leeder of Alanreed and Loyd Wayne Phillips of Washington; and two sisters, Joyce Willis of Georgia and Dora Caver of Destin, Fla. Rev. Marshall J. Cameron Rev. Marshall J. Cameron, 88, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave., with the Rev. Gary Kellisone and Mazie Richards of Bethel Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Rev. Cameron was born in Hollis, Okla., and was an 80-year resident of Amarillo. He had been a pastor in the Amarillo area for more than 40 years. He was employed by the Amarillo Fire Department before he became a pastor. He worked for the fire department for nine years. He was the founder of Full Gospel Faith Temple Association and was involved with them from 1954 to 1967. He was an evangelist from 1968 to 1997. He married Ola Belle Cameron in 1952. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ruth Burnside of Amarillo; a son, James Cameron of Amarillo; two brothers, Willy Cameron of Mount Pleasant and Luther Cameron of Irving; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Thomas Wayne Slocum Thomas Wayne Slocum, 50, of Lake Elsinor, Calif., a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, in Loma Linda, Calif. No services are scheduled. Mr. Slocum was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and moved to Amarillo in 1949. He graduated from Amarillo High School. He was a helicopter mechanic in the Army during the Korean War. He moved to Lake Elsinor in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Thompson of Dallas; a son, T.J. Slocum of Kansas City, Kan.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Slocum of Amarillo; three sisters, Len Crisler, Vicki Hooten and Karen Renfroe, all of Amarillo; and a grandson. Gus H. Brock Gus H. Brock, 90, of 1322 Hillcrest, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, in Wheeler. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Mr. Brock was born in Mangum, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 56 years. He married Ollie Evans in 1930 at Cheyenne, Okla. They lived in Hemphill and Wheeler counties from 1931 to 1941. Mr. Brock was a cowboy on several ranches while living in Hemphill and Wheeler counties. He became a carpenter in Amarillo and was a member of Carpenters Local Union No. 665. He was a charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and had been a deacon there since 1958. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elizabeth Martin of McLean and Regeina Scott of Amarillo; two sisters, Sallie Harris of Wheeler and Helen Ward of Houston; a brother, Minor Carson of Irving; five grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 1322 Hillcrest. Delma Hunter Delma Hunter, 76, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Antia Young of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Charles L. Reagh Charles L. Reagh, 79, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997. Mr. Reagh was born in Belden, Miss. He moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Mississippi. He married Betty Gail Reagh in 1958 at Colorado Springs, Colo. She preceded him in death. Mrs. Paul was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She homesteaded with her parents in the Texico and Farwell area in 1919. She was a member of the Farwell Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie. Survivors include a son, Jim Paul of Texico; two sisters, Edith Osborne of Modesto, Calif., and Edna Woefel of Arvada, Colo.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery. Mrs. Jasper moved with her family to Moriarty from Rotan by covered wagon. In her teen-age years, they moved to Hagerman, where she finished her schooling. In 1943, they moved to Portales. For many years, she worked at the Portales Steam Laundry. She was a member and past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge of Portales. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She married Howard Jasper in 1968 at Elida. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Bobby Jean Davis of Tucson, Ariz., William Dale Jasper of Portales, Harry Jasper of Tehachapi, Calif., and Michael Andrew Jasper of San Diego; a daughter, Wanda Harrison of Tucson; a foster son, Ralph Whisant of Gastonia, N.C.; a brother, George Iris Welch of Amarillo; three sisters, Lillian Dobbins and Eudean Meyers, both of Amarillo, and Lala Bee Criswell of Springer; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Modisette was born in Panola, Okla., and had been a lifetime resident of Tucumcari. He was employed as a brakeman for Southern Pacific Railroad. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Civil, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park. Mrs. Cawthon was born in Hall County, Texas. She completed her education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, before moving to Tucumcari in 1943. She was employed as a clerk at Sands Dorsey Drug Store for many years. She later worked as a hostess at the Ramada Restaurant and then as a clerk at the Elder Shop. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Alvin N. Cawthon; a son, Tom Cawthon of Dallas; a daughter, Tricia Harvey of Crawfordsville, Ind.; three sisters, Gladys Evans of California, Jewel Jenkens of Arizona and Ruth Mogg of Kerrville, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Curry was born in Tucumcari and had been a lifetime Tucumcari resident. He served in the Army for two years and with the New Mexico National Guard for 33 years before retiring as sergeant major. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a deacon there. He was active in the NARFE, the Mesa Redonda Cowboy Camp Committee and the Tucumcari Sams Club. He also was an active member of the executive board of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. Survivors include his wife, Sue; two sons, Bruce Curry of St. Louis and Benton Curry of Clovis; two sisters, Leona Smith of Tucumcari and Viola Moyer of Fort Sumner; a brother, Billy Ray Curry of Tucumcari; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Snouffer was born in Knox County, Ohio. She married Edwin E. Snouffer in 1969 at Mansfield, Ohio. They moved to Clovis in 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the Daughters of the Nile and Keystone Chapter No. 27 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Forest Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Snouffer was preceded in death by a daughter, Edith Snouffer Mayfield, in 1994.
