Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Assembly with Max Beggs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Bybee was born in Childress. He moved to Amarillo 45 years ago from Pampa. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring in June after 35 years. Mr. Bybee married Judy K. Rippetoe in 1971 at Howardwick. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pamela Bybee of Amarillo; two sons, Terry Bybee of Quitman and David Wade Bybee of Amarillo; two sisters, Mildred Jackson of Childress and Betty Foster of Amarillo; four brothers, J.D. Bybee, Elton Bybee, Sam Bybee and Billy Bybee, all of Amarillo; and a grandson. The family will be at 2207 E. 23rd Ave. They request memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Geneva Imogene Johnson Geneva Imogene Johnson, 82, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home Chapel at Erick, Okla. Burial will be in Cave Creek Cemetery at Vinson, Okla. Local arrangements were by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Johnson was born in Reed, Okla. She was raised in Vinson and the Mobeetie-Wheeler areas. She moved to city of Commerce, Calif., in 1941, to Mobeetie in 1950 and back to California in 1955. She moved to the Erick community in 1957 and to Amarillo in 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She married William Thomas Johnson in 1938 at Wheeler. He died in 1975. She also was preceded in death by a son, Albert Johnson, in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. Rodney of Amarillo; a son, Nolan Johnson of Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Rhonda Allen of Erick; a brother, Eugene Myers of Erick; nine grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. Oscar T. Neal Oscar T. Neal, 83, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor, officiating. He was the retired owner and operator of the Bronco Restaurant, which he operated for 15 years. He also had a concrete business in Amarillo for 20 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He married Mamie Arnn in 1947 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Neal of Abilene and John T. Arnn of Amarillo; a daughter, Rita Joyce Trimble of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Madge Scott of Plainview; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Second Baptist Church. Robin M. McLain Robin "Bobie'' M. McLain, 86, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Field, Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Evergreen in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. McLain was born in Mountainview, Okla. She moved from Lockney to Amarillo in 1936. She married Paul Thomas McLain in 1938 at Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death. Mrs. McLain worked in sales at Blackburn's Clothing Store before retiring. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Roy Hawkins and Dene Hawkins, both of Amarillo; a sister, Viola Mace of Mountainview; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Beverly Wallace Beverly Wallace, 54, of No. 17 Crenshaw, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, in Lubbock. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Smith and the Rev. Dean Wynn, both of the church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the city of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Georgia St. Mrs. Wallace was born in Lubbock and had lived in Amarillo since 1971. She married Roger Wallace in 1961. Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, where she was secretary and editor of the church paper for 11 years. Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Wallace of Amarillo and Curtis Wallace of Austin; her parents, George and Myrtle Bartlett of Lubbock; a sister, Viki Bartlett of Lubbock; a brother, Dennis Bartlett of Virginia; and two grandchildren. Bessie Mae Adkins Bessie Mae Adkins, 72, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Debolt Cemetery at Arnett, Okla. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Adkins was born in Hollis, Okla. She lived in Pampa from 1948 to 1972, when she moved to Amarillo. She retired as a checker for Ideal Grocery in Pampa. She was a Baptist and a Pythian Sister with the Pampa Lodge. She was a former secretary for Highland Baptist Church in Pampa and had helped establish the Youth Center in Pampa. She married Morris F. Adkins in 1972 at Childress. Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Walter Martin and Clarence Martin, both of Arnett; and a sister, Ruth Cogkendall of Arnett. Canyon Jerry Ann Phillips Jerry Ann Phillips, 57, of Canyon, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, in Amarillo. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., in Amarillo, with Dr. Charles Price, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Mrs. Phillips was born in Amarillo. She moved to Canyon three years ago from Amarillo. She worked as a waitress at Teresa's Diner. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Sue Wimberly of Canyon, and Tammy Ann Chennault and Tina Jo Phillips, both of Amarillo; two sons, Timothy Lee Phillips and Tony Wayne Phillips, both of Canyon; her mother, Jo Davis of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Josephine Shehan Josephine Shehan, 84, of Canyon, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Phu Phan and August Hesse, deacon, officiating. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Yukon Cemetery at Yukon, Okla., with Hi Roberts, deacon, officiating. Mrs. Shehan was born in Yukon. She married Samuel J. Shehan in 1931. He died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by a daughter. She lived in Yukon until 1995, when she moved to Canyon. Mrs. Shehan was of the Catholic faith and was an active member of St. John Nepomuk Church in Yukon for 60 years. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and served on the election board in Canadian County, Okla. Survivors include a son, Patrick Shehan of Canyon; two sisters, Lilibel Lucy of Tulsa, Okla., and Grace Hubbard of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. "Luke'' White, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Purl, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. White was born in Heidenheimer, and had lived in the Borger area for 58 years. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the Phillips Refinery and a former salesman for Northwest Insulation Co. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Borger Noon Lions Club. Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, in 1992. Survivors include two sons, Ralph White of Borger and Roy White of San Antonio; two daughters, Judy Weaver of Borger and June Flanagan of Boerne; two brothers, Cecil White of Lubbock and Cleo White of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Meadow First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Lewis, Methodist Hospital chaplain, and the Rev. Ken McClung, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Cemetery by Brownfield Funeral Home in Brownfield. Mr. Liles was born in Lynn County and moved to the Meadow community in 1924. He graduated from Meadow High School in 1943. He married Dorothy Gregg in 1943 at Lovington. Mr. Liles was a retired farmer and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Meadow School Board and had been a director of the Farmers' Home Administration for a number of years. He was a honorary member of the Meadow FFA and was the first student to receive a "Lone Star Farmer's Degree'' from Meadow High School in 1939. He was a member of Meadow First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Edwin Liles, in 1949. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Liles of Meadow and Dennis Liles of Sunray; a daughter, Danette Davis of Lockney; two sisters, Maurine Pendergrass of Meadow and Alma Jo Meil of Del Rio; and seven grandchildren. Weldon Travis Ellis KERMAN, Calif. - Weldon Travis Ellis, 49, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1997. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seigler Funeral Home in Paducah, Texas, with the Rev. Sam Crosby, pastor of First Baptist Church of Paducah, officiating. Other services and cremation were Sunday in Fresno. Mr. Ellis was born in Matador, Texas, and attended school in Guthrie, Texas. He moved to California in 1973. He had been employed by Union 76 Oil Co. for the past 22 years. Survivors include his wife, Reba; two sons, Travis Adams and Randal Adams, both of Guthrie; three daughters, Annette Ornelos and Kimberly David, both of Fresno, and Kelly Huffman of Miami, Okla.; his mother, Irma Hensley of Paducah; a brother, Randy Ellis of Paducah; two stepbrothers, Charles Hensley of Ballinger, Texas, and Larry Hensley of Kerrville, Texas; four stepsisters, Chryle Baxley of Hobbs, N.M., Shelia Randolph of Lubbock, Texas, and Karen Lowe and Paula Turner, both of Cleburne, Texas; and 12 grandchildren. Oklahoma Kenneth Duane Shores EVA, Okla. - Kenneth Duane Shores, 55, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Yarbrough School Auditorium with Jim Cunningham of First Christian Church in Elkhart, Kan., officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mr. Shores was born on the family farm in the Eva community of Texas County. He was raised in Eva and graduated from Yarbrough High School with the class of 1960. He married Arletta Belle Conger in 1962 at Clayton, N.M. In 1965, Mr. Shores graduated from Panhandle A&M in Goodwell with a bachelor's degree in education. The Shores family moved to Crescent, and Mr. Shores taught in the Crescent school system for 61/2 years. The family then returned to the Eva community, where he was involved in the family farming business and custom harvesting. He later taught at the Yarbrough school for several years. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Rosie Shores of Guymon; two daughters, Janet Shilling of Oklahoma City and Lorinda Shores of Guymon; two brothers, Johnny Shores of Wichita, Kan., and Dean Shores of Eva; and two grandsons. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, minister, and the Rev. Paul Burwash, minister of First Baptist Church of Grady, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Duke was born in Jerome, Ark. She had been a resident of the WheatlandGrady community since 1951, when she moved from Washington with her husband, Albert Duke. Mr. Duke died in 1992. She worked for a number of years in Washington during World War II. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, Fred Hoffman of Dermott, Ark. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service time. The family requests memorials be to the First Baptist Church building fund.
