Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. Manessa was born in Watertown, N.Y. He moved to Olton in 1987 from Amarillo. He married Sandra McLain in 1985 at Sayre, Okla. He served in the Marine Corps for four years and attended Texas Tech University at Lubbock and Wayland Baptist University at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; and three sons, Nick Manessa of Olton, Derek McLain of Canyon and Jeran McLain of Camp Lejeune, N.C. Pauline Marie Diller HEREFORD - Pauline Marie Diller, 82, died Saturday, June 14, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with James D. Hutsler officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Diller was born in Scotland, Texas. She married C.M. Diller in 1935 at Electra. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Andrew Diller and Gregory Charles Diller, both in 1970. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1949 from Umbarger. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Elkhart Altar Society, the Walsh Home Demonstration Club and St. Anthony's Guild Christian Mothers Organization. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Robert Diller of Hereford and Duane Diller of Odessa; three daughters, Helen Henderson of Walsh, Colo., Carolyn Brockwell of Longview and Arlene Haiduk of Amarillo; three sisters, Amalia Bracht of Canyon, Sister John Damascene of San Antonio and Agnes Dunaway of Seattle; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Tommy Griffin QUANAH - Thomas C. Griffin, 84, died Friday, June 13, 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife this year. Survivors include a son, Dan Griffin of Stamford. Robbie Roberta Hatley FLOYDADA - Robbie Roberta Lotspeich Hatley, 86, died Sunday, June 15, 1997. Mrs. Hatley was born in Palo Pinto County. She moved from Mineral Wells to Floyd County with her parents in 1922. She attended school in Mineral Wells and Floydada. She married Oran W. Hatley in 1932 at Lockney. He died in 1975. Mrs. Hatley was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Dougherty. Survivors include two daughters, Winona Allen of Floydada and Maxine Markham of Amarillo; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Cecil Bunch of Clovis, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Stanberry was born in Casa, Ark. He married Bonnie Mae McCormick in 1935 at Danville, Ark. She died in 1975. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Cloyce Wayne Stanberry in 1967 and Buford Stanberry in 1977. He had lived in Bovina since 1953, moving from Danville, Ark. He retired as a grain operator for Sherley Anderson Elevator. He was a member of Bovina Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Harold Denton Stanberry, Loy Dean Stanberry and Danny Darrell Stanberry, all of Bovina; a daughter, Brenda Mae McNeely of Springtown; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Lawrence Anthony SPEARMAN - Lawrence "L.L.'' Anthony, 84, died Monday, June 16, 1997. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Anthony was born in Great Bend, Neb. He had lived in the Spearman area for 47 years, moving from Thermopolis, Wyo. He married Anita Babitzke in 1964 at Canadian. Mr. Anthony was an electrician and owned and operated Anthony Electric in Spearman from 1954 to 1990, when he retired. He served in the Marines from 1942 to 1945 during World War II in Guam, the Solomon Islands, New Zealand and Bougaenville. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hansford Lodge No. 1040 AF&AM, the Scottish Rite in Lubbock and Khiva Temple of the Shrine. He was a charter member of the Spearman Industrial Foundation. He was the Spearman Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1974. Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Eugene Schoenahals of Panhandle and Garner Schoenahals of Canadian; a stepdaughter, Roberta Whitehead of Kingwood; and a sister, Marie Halone of Billings, Mont. Amarillo Alyce Velma Lindemann Alyce Velma Lindemann, 80, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 15, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Plainview with the Rev. Arrangements are by Wood Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Lindemann was born in Quitaque. She married W.O. "Bill'' Lindemann in 1937 in the Providence community northeast of Plainview. He died in 1995. Mrs. Lindemann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Amarillo. Survivors include a son, Kenneth L. Lindemann of Amarillo; three brothers, Odell Gregg of Tulia, Odis Gregg of Amarillo and Bill Gregg of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Zonelle Milton of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Trinity Lutheran Altar Guild. Claude Neal Hunter Claude Neal "Bill'' Hunter, 86, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 15, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with Haun Kite of North Amarillo Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hunter was born in Kosse. He worked in the oil fields of South Texas before moving to Amarillo in 1956. He was employed by Henderson's Mobile Homes and R.V. Center. He retired in 1974. Mr. Hunter married Euleta Henderson in 1937 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Hunter and LaNell Harris, both of Amarillo; a son, Richard Hunter of Garland; a brother, Adrian Hunter of Houston; a sister, Joyce Haney of Kosse; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1725 Jennifer St. Chester Griffey Chester Griffey, 75, of Amarillo, died Thursday, June 12, 1997. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Strong City Baptist Church at Strong City, Okla., with Melvin Byer officiating. Burial will be in Strong City Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne, Okla. Mr. Griffey was born in Strong City and attended school at Five Star. He entered the Army during World War II and served four years in the Pacific. After being discharged he returned to Strong City. He married Adalie Kingman in 1954. They lived in Pampa before moving to Amarillo. She died in 1975. He married Floy Colleen Jackson in 1978 at Amarillo. She died in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Laura Cochran of Amarillo; three sons, Lee Kingman of Longview, Walter Kingman of Woodward, Okla., and Frank Kingman of Washington; three sisters, Dessie McClellan and Ellie Myers, both of Cheyenne, and Nona Barney of Chaparral, N.M.; two brothers, Everett Griffey of Sallisaw, Okla., and Frank Griffey of Texas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sidny J. Feck Sidny J. Feck, 79, of Amarillo, died Saturday, June 14, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery Garden of Sundial with Jerry Cook Sr., pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Pocatello, Idaho, officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Feck was born in Trinidad, Colo., and had been a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He married Loretta Doeden in 1941 at Panhandle. Mr. Feck was a heavy equipment operator before retiring. He worked for GilvinTerrill until 1937. He worked for L.F. Harper from 1937 to 1943 and for DePaw Construction Co. from 1945 to 1982. He was an aspiring guitarist. Survivors include his wife of Chase, Kan.; a son, Bob Feck of Fredonia, Kan.; two daughters, Angy Cook of Pocatello and Vivian Link of Chase; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Interstate 40, in Amarillo. Ms. Rodgers was born in Knuckles, Ky. She moved to Howardwick from Amarillo in 1978. She was a beautician. She was the secretary for the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge for 30 years. Survivors include a son, Robert M. Rodgers of Sanford; a daughter, Geneva Lacy of Amarillo; three brothers, Jack Vance of Cole Camp, Mo., Charles Vance of Sheridan, Ark., and Jim Vance of Malvern, Ark.; two sisters, Stella Hunt of Forrest City, Ark., and Virginia Morris of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Reagan was born in Tahoka and had been a resident of Amarillo for the past 15 years. She was a bookkeeper and a retired hairdresser. She was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. She was employed by the Clements Unit as a registered LVN. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Survivors include a son, David Jones of Amarillo; her mother, Tommie Brown of Amarillo; her father, Ernest Brown of Amarillo; a sister, Paula Braswell of Amarillo; her grandmother, Velma Seale of Amarillo; and a grandchild. Grace Margerite Blakely Norton BEAVER, Okla. - Grace Margerite Blakely Norton, 67, died Friday, June 13, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Beaver Christian Church with Roger Neff officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service. Mrs. Norton was born in Clark County, Kan. She graduated from high school and married B.J. Norton in 1955 at Ashland, Kan. She worked at the Herald Democrat newspaper for many years. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Brian Norton of Pasco, Wash., Kevin Norton of Perryton, Texas, John Norton of Oklahoma City and Steven Norton of McAlester; a brother, Richard Blakely of Utica, Miss.; and two sisters, Alice Breit and Ella Blakely of Ashland. New Mexico Ada L. Hilliard LOGAN, N.M. - Ada L. Hilliard, 85, of Tucumcari, a former Logan resident, died Sunday, June 15, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Logan Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Pearce, minister of Logan Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mrs. Hilliard was born in Oklahoma. She and her husband lived in several towns in New Mexico. They lived in Roy for 10 years and owned and operated Hilliard's Cafe. They then moved to Logan and lived there for 23 years. They had lived in Tucumcari for the past 11 months. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Hilliard was preceded in death by three daughters, Bobbie Pendleton in 1988, Ola Mae Abernathy in 1975 and Barbara Moore in 1989. Survivors include her husband; a brother, Ted Anderson of Edmund, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until noon today. Betty Veronica Valencia CLOVIS, N.M. - Betty Veronica Valencia, 89, died Sunday, June 15, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe by the Rev. Daniel Balizan. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mrs. Valencia was born in Bent. She and her family moved to Tularosa by covered wagon when she was young. She married Raymond Johnson. They lived in Alamogordo until Mr. Johnson died in 1934. After his death, Mrs. Valencia moved to Clovis. During the Great Depression she worked as a housekeeper. She worked at the Santa Fe Roundhouse and then at Cannon Air Force Base until retiring in 1968. She was married to Isabel Valencia from 1943 until his death in 1967. Mrs. Valencia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was involved in the St. Francis Society. Survivors include five children, Lawrence Johnson, Carmen Casarez, Raymond Johnson and Linda Sotelo, all of Clovis, and Helen Mills of Albuquerque; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1016 Cypress in Clovis.
