Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Spangler and the Rev. Clinton Young officiating. Burial will be at Quanah Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Morris was born in Quanah. He lived in Quanah all his life and attended Quanah schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Bufford and Betty Morris of Quanah; a brother, Tommy Morris of Vian, Okla.; four sisters, Betty Mobley, Peggy Colbert, Yvonne Finley, all of Quanah, and Mary Roberson of Amarillo. Robert J. Lang DALHART - Robert J. "Bob" Lang, 62, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Minister Ray M. Guy of First Christian Church officiating. Masonic Rites courtesy of Rock Island Masonic Lodge No. 869. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Lang was born in Ware and raised in Dalhart. He graduated from Dalhart High School in 1953 and served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Zelda Beth Law in 1954 at Albuquerque, N.M. They made their home in Dalhart where Bob worked as a pressman and press foreman for the Dalhart Texan for more than 35 years. He retired in 1993. He grew up in the First Christian Church and had taught a Sunday school class for a time. He was a Master Mason and past Worshipful Master of Rock Lodge No. 869. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as Worthy Patron of Dalhart Chapter No. 1051. He was an Eagle Scout and was active with the Boy Scouts. He had served on the Dalhart City Council for two terms. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debra Beth Ford of Dalhart; two sons, Robert Alan "Bobby" Lang and Joe Richard Lang, both of Dalhart; four brothers, Jack Lang of Dalhart, Frank Lang of Las Cruces, N.M., Orville Lang of North East, Md., and Richard Lang of Florida; three sisters, Mona Sherred and Marian Rodriquez, both of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sue Adams of Rising Sun, Md. The family requests memorials be to American Cancer Society, National Diabetes Foundation or The American Heart Association. R.B. Cunningham MULESHOE - R.B. Cunningham, 72, died Sunday, March 16, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reydon Stanford, pastor, of Christian Center Church officiating. Burial will be at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Cunningham was born in Athens. He had been a resident of Muleshoe since 1967, moving from Morton. He moved to Morton from Childress. He was a shoe cobbler and had worked for the Childress, Paducah, Morton, Muleshoe and Littlefield police departments over a period of 20 years. He married Melba Flippin in 1945 at Paducah. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Guthrie. He was preceded in death by his son, James Cunningham in 1996. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Cunningham of Muleshoe; a daughter, Kay Knowlton of Muleshoe; a sister, Joyce Nicol of Victoria; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Leonard Lewis DUMAS - Leonard Lewis, 72, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Mr. Lewis was born in Durant, Okla. He had been a Dumas resident since 1971. He worked for White Dirt Contractors as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. He was also a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Mary Holland in 1967 at Texico, N.M. He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 3956, Co-Pilot in the Dumas Pilot Club and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9022. Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Lewis of Dumas, James Holland of Texico, N.M., and Robert Holland of Texline; three daughters, Glenda Craft of Chattanooga, Tenn., Marilyn Haley of Guymon, Okla., and Carolyn Cate of Clovis, N.M.; three brothers, Henry Lewis of Chico, Calif., S.N. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Troedel was born in West Bend, Wis. He grew up in West Bend and graduated from High School there. He retired from the Air Force after 27 years of service as a senior master sergeant. When he was stationed in Japan, he received the Bronze Star. He married Belle Laing in 1971 at Wichita Falls. He was the Director of Materials Management at Central Plains Regional Hospital for 17 years. He is a member of the Plainview Noon Lions Club and First Baptist Church, including the Pastor's Class. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vicki Moran of Chesapeake Bay, Va., and Jackie Troedel of San Diego; a stepdaughter, Cathy Huffington of Irving; a son, Michael Troedel of Wichita Falls; a stepson, David Huffington of Lubbock; three brothers, Clarence Troedel, Art Troedel and Harold Troedel all of West Bend, Wis.; four sisters, Marvel Labott of Chesterfield, Va., and Arlene Bair, Harriott Berries and Alie Zettler all of West Bend, Wis.; his mother, Anna Troedel of West Bend, Wis.; and four grandchildren. Beauchamp Jr. HEREFORD - Houston G. Beauchamp Jr., 73, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Beauchamp was born in Dalhart. He came to Deaf Smith County in 1955 from Tulia. He was a farmer and a Methodist. John Talmadge Wright PAMPA - John Talmadge Wright, 64, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hodson, associate pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. The body was cremated. Mr. Wright was born in Houston. He was a resident of Pampa most of his life. He graduated from Texas Tech University. He was a Marine veteran, serving during the Korean War. Survivors include three sons, Mark Allen Wright of Greenville, Mike Steven Wright of Amarillo and John T. Wright Jr., of New York City; and three grandchildren. The family will be at 1334 Williston Street in Pampa. Glenn Britton Patterson PLAINVIEW - Glenn Britton Patterson, 70, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Patterson was born in Olton. He had lived in Plainview all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Army in 1969. After retiring he returned to Plainview. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in 1990. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a vice president of the Plainview Letter Carriers Association and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his three sons, Randolph, Duke and Robert Patterson. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Patterson; four daughters, Dorothy Hunt, Angelia Vega both of Odessa, and Gabriele Raulston of Plainview and Elizabeth Harris of Lawton, Okla.; a son, Larry Patterson of Aurora, Colo.; a sister, Louise Stephens of Plainview; a brother, Kenneth Patterson of Carrollton; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Tindall of Primitive Baptist Church and minister Melvin Suttle, of San Jacinto Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was born in Hardoman County. She married J.R. Tucker in 1974 at Amarillo. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Georgiana Handy of Amarillo and Patricia Mae Moore of Wichita Falls; a brother, Boise Scarbrough of Kansas; two sisters, Effie Mae Dick of California and Lora Faye-Weathersby of Houston; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Mr. Lomeli was born in Durango, Mexico. He was an Amarillo resident for the past 50 years. He was a fabricator for the Amarillo Globe Foundry. He was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dionisia Lomeli, in 1996, and his son, Domingo Lomeli, Jr. in 1990. Survivors include four daughters, Dora Romero, Rosemary Lomeli-Huerta, Janie Lomeli all of Amarillo, and Ernestina Vasquez of Bushland; seven sons, Nemesio Lomeli of Waukesha, Wis., Edward Lomeli of Brownsville, Anthony Lomeli, Victor Lomeli, Raul Lomeli, Jessie Lomeli and David Lomeli all of Amarillo; 39 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 309 N. Mississippi Street. Myrtle K. Renegar Ellis Myrtle K. Renegar Ellis, 83, of 5805 Fordham St. died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Dr. Chester O'Brien, retired associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Ellis was born in Douglasville and moved to Amarillo in 1925. She married A.C. Renegar in 1929, and they were married for 31 years. She then married Ward J. Ellis in 1962. She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, a son, Charles Edward Renegar, and a daughter, Arletta Renegar. She retired from Fedway Department Stores after many years in sales and as the PBX operator. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. The Olsen Park Baptist Church was organized in her home, and the early services were broadcast on radio from her living room. Survivors include two daughters, Eunice Freeman of Pampa and Jo Ann Staats of Oklahoma City; a son, Don Renegar of Amarillo; a brother, J.L. Kellum of Amarillo; four sisters, Ophilia Robertson, Ethel Best, Swan Ward and Judy Baxter all of South Texas; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Virgil James Admire Virgil James Admire, 60, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. He came to Amarillo in 1985 from Phoenix. He married Wanda Joyce Shirley in 1955 at Lake Arthur, N.M. He worked for John Deere as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Amarillo Bowling Association,Club No. 55 Seniors. He was also a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Melvin Admire and Matthew Eugene Admire, both of Amarillo, and Timothy Dwayne Admire of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Joyce Wiggins and Sharon Marie Ballard, both of Amarillo; five sisters, Geneva Lee Nelson of Arizona, Lila Beatrice Loveless of Amarillo, Frances Faye Tatum of Phoenix, Lola Yvonne Redmon of Oregon and Patricia Elaine Lones of Ohio; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 40 years. He served in the Navy during World War II. Bailey in 1940 at Shattuck, Okla. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacey Ann Vandergriff. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy E. Gibson of Round Rock; a sister, Opal Shelton of Arnett, Okla.; two brothers, Marvin Ereman of Little Rock, Ark., and Don Ereman of Tyler; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home, Inc. Ms. Cottrell was born at the family homestead in Vilas, Col. She married Virgil Cottrell in 1934. They moved to Hotchkiss, Colo., in 1938, where they built the local livestock sale. They built the livestock auction in 1940 at Montrose, Colo., where she raised pigs and cooked in a restaurant until she moved to Canyon in 1995. Survivors include her son, Virgil "Dink" Cottrell of Canyon; a sister, Ruth Carsten of Hotchkiss, Colo.; a brother, Jake Thompson of Walsh, Colo.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. New Mexico Lanham Hugh Nelson HOBBS, N.M. - Lanham Hugh Nelson, 84, died Sunday, March 16, 1997. Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Hope with the Rev. Lavoid Ford and Mr. Phil Borden officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens at Amarillo. Mr. Nelson was born in Lakeview, Texas. He married Ada Lois Sharp in 1989 at Hobbs. He was an auctioneer and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Patsy Darlene Borden of McCamey, Texas, Connie Lynn Nelson of Sante Fe and Mary Kathryn Nelson of Dallas; a brother, Grady Boscom Nelson of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Dorris Latham of Elk City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors Inc., in Clayton. Mr. Blacksten was born in Springer and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He also served in the Navy.
