Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Silverton Cemetery with the Rev. Lloyd Allred, branch president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White-Funeral Home. Mrs. Hardcastle was born in Silverton. She graduated from Silverton High School. She married Wood Hardcastle in 1928 in Silverton. He died in 1977. She worked on several ranches in the Panhandle including the ranch of Dr. R.A. Dunkin of Amarillo. She was a lifelong resident of the Silverton area. Survivors include a brother, Al Stephenson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and a sister, Zell Freeman of Rexburg, Idaho. Claude Carol Ticer CHILDRESS - Claude Carol Ticer, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Ticer was born in Childress. He married Bille Faye Jones in 1955 at Childress. She died this May . He began his career with J.C. Penney Co. in Childress. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he managed a Penney's in Winslow, Ariz. He later transferred to Blythe, Calif., managing another store. He returned to Childress about 10 years ago. While in Blythe, he was a member of Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and served on the board of directors of the chamber of commerce and as president of the Retail Merchants Association. Survivors include a son, Garry Morgan of Woodlands; two daughters, Danita Carol Miranda and Billie Nelle Rogers both of Childress; three brothers, Bill Ticer of Florence, Ore., Jerry Ticer of Plainview and Jimmy Ticer of Childress.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Edythe Mae Wimberly-Wilson PLAINVIEW - Edythe Mae Wimberly-Wilson, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997, in Lubbock. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Silverton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Wimberly-Wilson was born in Clarendon, the youngest of six children. She attended schools in Rock Creek, Amarillo and Salida, Colo. She graduated from Pagosa Springs, Colo. She was a student nurse at Plainview Hospital and Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital prior to her marriage to Abner Wimberly of Tulia. The couple farmed in the Silverton area for several years. Mrs. Wimberly-Wilson moved to Plainview in 1943 and worked for many years as a beautician. She was a member of the Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ. Poor Health forced her to move to Lubbock in 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Wimberly of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. Elizabeth Tucker HEREFORD - Elizabeth Tucker, 87, died Sunday Aug. 17, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Central Church of Christ in Hereford with Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fairmont Cemetery in San Angelo. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel of Hereford. Mrs. Tucker was born in 1910 at Bennington, Okla. She was a homemaker. She married C.M. Tucker and had lived in Hereford for several years. She was a member of Hereford Central Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Carroll Tucker of Bastrop and Travis Tucker of Tuscola; three daughters, Valmeta Wisdom of Dallas, Arvella Lauderback of Hereford, and Willetta Isom of Lockney; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Lulabelle Reed Lulabelle Reed, 69, of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997. Services were at 1 p.m. Sunday at Baptist St. Anthony's Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Reed was born in Indiana and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1969. She married Brian Reed in 1972 at Amarillo. She was a homemaker and Methodist. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Susan Johnson, Cheryl Fernandez and Lori Melear, all of Amarillo, and Jody Guysinger of Pelahatchie, Miss.; a son, Patrick Buchs of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3616 E. 10th. Willie James Harris HOUSTON - Willie James Harris, 68, died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ with pastor H.C. Duncan and Elder Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes Street. Mr. Harris was a native of Austin and had been an Amarillo resident for only a few weeks. He was a masonry finisher in the construction trades. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Harris; a son, Fennis Scott of Austin; three daughters, Virgie Jean Burns and Dorothy Addison, both of Amarillo, and Rene Satterwhite of San Bernadino, Calif; three sisters; Lillie Mae Barton, Arthur Mae Marion, and Luella Burse, all of Austin; and 19 grandchildren. The family will be at 1203 Mimosa Street. Oklahoma Howard John Kachel BEAVER, Okla. - Howard John Kachel, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Pioneer Cemetery at Beaver with the Rev. Robert "Bob'' Barr officiating. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Home. Mr. Kachel was born in 1912 near Orion in a log house. The family moved to Beaver County in a covered wagon. He graduated from Elmwood School. He was a farmer by profession and lived on the family farm in Elmwood until he moved to the Beaver County Nursing Home in 1982. Survivors include two sisters, Letha Howe of Dodge City, Kan., and Alice Shook of Beaver; and a brother, Harold S. Kachel of Beaver. Elsewhere Ida Bob Harcrow HALE CENTER - Ida Bob Harcrow, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hale Center Church of Christ with Silas Short officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Rochester Cemetery. Arrangements are by Freeman Funeral Home. Mrs. Harcrow was born in Nolanville. She married Floyd A. Harcrow in 1924 at Lubbock. He died in 1960. She moved to Hale Center from Olton in 1961. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Harcrow was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanell Perry in 1994. Survivors include a son, Ronald Harcrow of Canadian; a sister, Eunice Beal of El Paso; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-greatgrandchildren.
