Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton /Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Willis was born in West Virginia and had been a Fritch resident since 1926. He retired from Phillips Petroleum offshore. Survivors include his wife; and a son, Robert W. Willis of New Berlin, Wis. Lola Mae Munson HEREFORD - Lola Mae Munson, 83, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose Chapel with the Rev. Don Larkin of Pampa officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. Munson was born in Montague County. She married Lester Wilson Sims in 1933. He died in 1981. She married Raymond O. Munson in 1984. He died in 1994. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, David Sims of Sunray, Richard Sims of Hereford and Lester L. Sims of Glenwood, Ariz.; two daughters, Florene Gandy of Tahoka and Juanita Estep of Panhandle; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Shirley Ann Auten OLTON - Shirley Ann Auten, 57, of Lubbock, a former Olton resident, died Monday, March 17, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olton Cemetery with the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Auten was born in Knox County. She moved to Olton in 1990 from Athens, Ala. She moved to Lubbock in 1995 from Olton. She married Dan Auten in 1959 at Corpus Christi. He died in 1986. She graduated from Olton High School in 1958. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Buddy Auten of Ontario, Calif.; two daughters, Sheila Force and Stacy Auten, both of Lubbock; two brothers, George Nichols of Brady and Jerry Nichols of Wheatland, Wyo.; two sisters, Wroena Thurman of Brady and Billie Edwards of Lubbock; and four grandchildren. Donavan McKinney-Sanchez, infant of Shawna Lee McKinney and Jose Angel Sanchez Jr. of Cresson, died Sunday, March 16, 1997. Ashley Christine Hale PLAINVIEW - Ashley Christine Hale, three-month-old daughter of Christopher and Sheila Hale of San Antonio, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. J.P. Stevens HALE CENTER - J.P. Stevens, 87, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with Silas Short of Post officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery at Merkle. Arrangements are by Freeman Funeral Home. Mr. Stevens was born in Trent and attended school there. He married Dorothy Lorraine Dodson in 1930 at Trent. She died in 1984. He moved to Plainview from Trent in 1943 and then moved to Hale Center in 1977. He was a farmer and owned Steven's Trucking in Plainview until retiring in 1972. He married Essie Ware in 1992 at Plainview. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Woodmen of the World and First United Methodist Church of Trent. He was a charter member of the Hale Center Senior Citizens Association and the Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Stevens in 1937 and Tommie Stevens in 1994. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Frances Peterson of Mesa, Ariz., and Linda Hall of Baku, Azerbaijan; four stepsons, Jim Ware of Rowlett, David Ware of Amarillo, Ronnie Ware of Alamogordo, N.M., and Randy Ware of Plainview; a stepdaughter, Gail Cox of Plainview; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was employed by JCPenney for 16 years and currently worked in the customer service department. She married Gerald Williamson in 1979 at Abilene. Montague SAN JON, N.M. - G.T. "Toop" Montague, 88, died Sunday, March 16, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Dunn Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel at Tucumcari with the Rev. Bob Miller, minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park. Mr. Montague was born in Oklahoma and moved to San Jon in 1938. He and his wife, Hazel, lived in Tres Piedras before moving to San Jon. His wife died in 1994. While living in San Jon, he was active in farming as well as performing much of the construction in and around San Jon. He also was a jewelry designer. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Montague-Block of Tucumcari; a son, Gary Montague of Albuquerque; four sisters, Opal Grimes of Morton, Texas, Gertie Moore and Mozelle Carter, both of Amarillo, and Peggy Parkey of Clovis; two granddaughters; and three greatgrandchildren. The body will be available for viewing until service time. Raymond R. Baird CLAYTON, N.M. - Raymond R. "Joe" Baird, 84, died Monday, March 17, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Husted, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Baird was born in Centerville. He attended school in Centerville and graduated from high school in Amistad. He joined the Army Air Corps and served during World War II. He married Vashti Cammack in 1943 at Champaign, Ill. She died in 1996. Mr. Baird and his wife lived in the Union County area for more than 40 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a past member of the Clayton Rotary Club. Survivors include two daughters, Toni George of Clayton and Barbara Baird of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Jack Baird of Clayton and Raymond Baird of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Pogue and Vivian Pogue, both of Clayton; a brother, Jim Baird of Las Cruces; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She lived in Abilene for many years and was the supervisor of medical office personnel at the Abilene State School. She moved to Amarillo 10 months ago. She was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James Reeves and Gary Jones, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Kathy Tuebner of Ore City; a sister, Frances Steele of Fort Worth; a brother, Elmer Musick; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body will not be available for viewing. The Rev. Clarence E. Jones The Rev. Clarence E. Jones, 64, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 17, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Buchanan Street Chapel, 1515 S. Buchanan St., with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Jones was born in Lone Mound and had lived in Amarillo since 1965. He served with the Navy during the Korean War. He was a Baptist minister before retiring in July. He had pastored several Southern Baptist churches in Amarillo, the last one being Buchanan Street Chapel, where he was a member. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; three sons, Clarence Edward Jones Jr. and Richard Preston Jones, both of Amarillo, and Stephen Brian Jones of New York City; three sisters, Lynn Sheegog and Lenora Schrader, both of Amarillo, and Elaine Jones of Shamrock; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Resthaven Cemetery at Quitaque. Mr. Hill was born and raised in Silverton. He was a Navy veteran. He worked for Pantex as a developmental supervisor, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he worked part time for Motor Parts of Amarillo. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and had been a deacon there for many years. He married Sue Barrett in 1952 at Quitaque. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jana Holmes, Dee Ann Kelly and Terri Allen, all of Amarillo; and nine grandchildren. Ms. Seals was born in St. Joseph, Mo., and had lived in Amarillo since 1975. She was a cook for Bozo's Tortilla Co. Masonic graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Hisey was born in Haskell County. He moved to Amarillo in 1918 from Haskell County. He lived in Chicago from 1927 until moving back to Amarillo in 1947. He married Frances Mae Jones in 1937. She died in 1993. Mr. Hisey was a painter. He was a member of the Painters Union No. 544 for 71 years and was the apprentice instructor for 12 years. He painted the largest sign in Chicago which was 115' by 110'. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 41 of Chicago for 46 years and a 50-year member of Covenant Myrtle No. 141 in Franklin Park, Ill. He coached youth baseball for 14 years and was chosen as the 1964 Coach of the Year by the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame. Survivors include two sons, Bill Hisey of Amarillo and Fred Hisey of Houston; four sisters, Mary Himes of Delaware, Doris Garnett and Frances Smith, both of Florida, and Winnie Maher of California; and a grandchild. Rebecca Garza Ramirez Rebecca Garza Ramirez, 41, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 16, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Ramirez was born in Weslaco and had lived in Amarillo for 20 years. She graduated from Hereford High School and was employed by Village Cleaners. She was a Catholic. Survivors include three daughters, Lucretia Ramirez, Felicia Ramirez and Raquel Ramirez, all of the home; a son, Victor Ramirez of the home; three sisters, Melida Pacheco and Olga Garza, both of Hereford, and Yolanda Gomez of Amarillo; a brother, Gilbert Garza of Hereford; and a grandchild. She moved to Amarillo in 1954 from Commerce. She married William A. Banks in 1940. She graduated from East Texas State Teachers College and began her teaching career at Delta County. She left Delta County to teach at LaPorte. She retired from South Lawn Elementary School in Amarillo. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association and the Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include her husband; a son, James R. Banks of Mansfield; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Catherine L. Holt Catherine L. Holt, 75, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Michael Richter of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Holt was born in Enid, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1960. She was a legal secretary for more than 30 years in Amarillo and Enid. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Holt, in 1984. Survivors include three sons, David Holt of Tulsa, Okla., Doug Holt of Amarillo and Steven Holt of Midwest City, Okla; four brothers, Bob Phillips of El Reno, Okla., Rolly Phillips of Boulder, Colo., and Bill Phillips and Don Phillips, both of Arlington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He lived and worked in Plainview for 28 years before moving to Amarillo in 1977. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was married to Juanita Barajas for 26 years. Survivors include three daughters, Maria D. Sanchez of Fort Worth, and Guadalupe Ramos and Estella Gomes, both of Montclair, Calif.; eight sons, Gabriel B. Ramos, Angel Ramos, Mike Ramos, Tony Ramos and Tino Ramos, all of Amarillo, Jose M. Ramos of Lubbock, Jesse Ramos of Houston and Ray Ramos of Plainview; two sisters, Esperanza Hernandez and Carmen Sanchez, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Domingo Ramos and Faustino Ramos, both of Plainview; 38 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Miss Perciful was born in Hereford. She attended Amarillo High School and graduated from Hutchinson High School at Hutchinson, Kan. She attended West Texas State University before beginning a career as an accountant. She was an accountant for 34 years before retiring in 1977. Survivors include an aunt, Beulah Lee Rutherford Carter; and seven cousins including Harriet Carter, Ralph J. Rutherford and Van Walker, all of Amarillo.
