Mr. Green married Elsie Jonas in 1939 at Pampa. He was preceded in death by a son, William Jerry Green, in 1958. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Liberty Home Demonstration Club. She was a charter member of the Good Fellowship Class. She married C.P. Seipp in 1917 at the Liberty community. He died in 1971. She also was preceded in death by a son, James V. "Jimmy" Seipp, in 1996. Mr. Sims was a member of the National Spur and Bit Association, the Happy Masonic Lodge and the United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Happy Jaycees. He was a past president of the Happy Ex-Student Association and a past member of the Happy Volunteer Fire Department and the Happy School Board. Hughes St. Mr. Howell was born in Shreveport, La. He was an Army veteran and received an honorable discharge and a Purple Heart in 1945. He did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and government food services for the hungry. He was a member of Carter Chapel United Methodist Church, where he had served as a steward for many years. His wife, Hatty B. Jackson Howell, died in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Elijah Howell of Los Angeles and George Howell of Amarillo; a sister, Josephine H. Ruth Evans Ruth Evans, 90, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, in Palm Springs, Calif. Private services will be at a later date. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Evans was born in Texas and had lived in Amarillo for 43 years. She was a Baptist. She married E.H. Brown in 1928. He died in 1947. In 1950, she married Floyd Evans. He died in 1975. Mrs. Evans moved to Cathedral City, Calif., in 1984. Survivors include two sons, Sonny Brown of Amarillo and Bobby Brown of Bullhead City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-granddaughter. Doris Castleberry Conner Doris Castleberry Conner, 81, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Conner was born in Van Zandt County. She moved to Amarillo in 1942 from Quitaque. She moved to Georgetown in 1992 and returned to Amarillo in 1995. She married Claud Eugene Conner in 1932 at Quitaque. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Conner retired from the food service industry. She had worked at the Greyhound bus depot. She attended North Amarillo Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, John W. Conner of Amarillo; a daughter, Peggy Conner Prien of Georgetown; a sister, Mary Castleberry Conner Truett of Lubbock; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Georgia St. Mrs. Bremmer was born in Hobart, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 10 years. She was an LVN and a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and St. Ann's Catholic Church in Canyon. She married Edwin "Eddy" Bremmer in 1961 at Wichita Falls. Mrs. Bremmer was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Bremmer, in 1984. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Ruth Sandefer of Amarillo; four sons, Edwin Bremmer, Thomas Bremmer and Brian Bremmer, all of Amarillo, and Dale Bremmer of Canyon; her mother, Margrette Williams of Hobart; a brother, Jeff Williams of Hobart; and 10 grandchildren. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Inc. Mr. Lucero was born and raised in Villanueva. He moved to Portales in 1964. He worked as a brick layer for many years until 1981, when he became disabled. He attended St. Helen Catholic Church. Mr. Lucero married Margarita Marquez in 1966 at Portales. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Danny Lucero and Jesse Lucero, both of Portales; a daughter, Sarah Lucero of Portales; his mother, Nona Lucero of Portales; five brothers, Fred Lucero of Grants, Pete Lucero, Tony Lucero and Liberato Lucero, all of Portales, and Benny Lucero of Rockport, Texas; two sisters, Marie Lovato and Marcella Lucero, both of Portales; and four grandchildren. Anna Jean Buenting CLOVIS, N.M. - Anna Jean Buenting, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in The Chapel with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Buenting was born in Clovis, N.M., and had been a lifetime resident of Clovis. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern New Mexico University. She married Ernest "Bud" Buenting in 1943 at Charleston, S.C. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Buenting, in 1954. She worked at Cannon Air Force Base as a secretary within the Civil Service. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for more than 45 years. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Tibbs of Clovis; and three grandchildren. She married Ralph Warren Minnis in 1931 at Monroe, La. He died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Dee Ann Thornton of Levelland; and two grandsons.
