Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Arden Road Baptist Church, 6701 Arden Road, with Dale Bigham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Manley was born in Shattuck, Okla. She married Jack Manley in 1943 at Woodward, Okla. She was a co-owner of Manley Ice Company and Manley's Drive-ins. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janice Henry of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Nancy Mantooth of Amarillo; two sons, Jack Manley Jr. of Pearland, and Tom Manley of San Antonio; two sisters, Alice Harrison of Edmond, Okla., and Betty Tyrell of Stillwater, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3605 Lynette. Joyce K. Starkey Bingham Joyce K. Starkey Bingham, 47, of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 20, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. George Haddox, pastor of Cliffside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Bingham was born in Plainview. She had lived in Amarillo since 1972. She was employed by Northwest Texas Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. She married C.W. "Rusty'' Bingham in 1991 at Amarillo. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of the Cliffside Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer and taught Sunday school classes. Joy Rae Taylor Joy Rae Taylor, 40, of Spearman, and a former resident of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 20, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with the Rev. Sherman Eastland, chaplain of Northwest Texas Health Care Systems, officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Ms. Taylor was born in Albany, Ga. She moved to Amarillo in 1988 from Biloxi, Miss. She then moved to Spearman in 1993. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Keisha Moore of Spearman; a son, Cody Blue of Dumas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie R. Taylor of Amarillo; four sisters, Vickie Rich and Rhonda Renne Taylor, both of Amarillo, Patsy Beyerl and Charmon Lamar Harris, both of Grove, Okla. Arrangements are by Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mr. Brown was born in Myra. He was a rancher and a farmer. He also was a retired parts man with S&W Tractor Company in Gainesville and was a member of Broadway Church of Christ. He married Mary Lee Bentley in 1938 at Gainesville. She died in 1993. Survivors include a son, Lannie Brown of Valley View; a daughter, Lanita Lewter of Hood; three brothers, Ray Brown and W.C. Oklahoma John T. Jamieson GUYMON, Okla. - John T. "Johnny'' Jamieson, 89, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Panhandle Bible Center with Jim Jamieson, son, and Danny W. Jackson Jr., grandson, officiating. Burial will be at Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Jamieson was born in Harmon County near Hollis. He married Ada Pearl Prentice in 1926 at Childress, Texas. He retired in 1970 as a self-employed farmer and carpenter. He moved to Guymon from Littlefield, Texas, in 1981. He was a member of the Panhandle Bible Center. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Betty Jamieson and Charlotte Jamieson, both of Guymon, and Norma Womack of Fort Smith, Ark.; three sons, Dub Jamieson, Jim Jamieson and Ron Jamieson, all of Guymon; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandchildren. Ben Paul Zimmerman BALKO, Okla. - Ben Paul Zimmerman, 63, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Balko Baptist Church with Jim Fox and Rodney Roberson officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service, Beaver. Mr. Zimmerman was born in Beaver County. He had been a Beaver County resident all of his life. He attended Balko schools and graduated in 1952. He married Marilyn Scott in 1955 at Perryton, Texas. After serving as a captain in the Army, he graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1958. They then returned to Balko to establish their home. He was self-employed as a building contractor as well as a farmer and rancher. He served on the Balko School Board from 1970 until 1993. During that time, he served on the Oklahoma State School Board as well. He was a member of the PTCI Telephone Board for 17 years and was a director on the board, as well as a president on the PTCI Board. He was a member of the Balko Lions Club, and the Balko Education Foundation. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Paula Tice of Balko, Linda Bartel of Weatherford and Karen McMurphy of Owasso; a son, Dennis Zimmerman of Beaver; his father, C.B. Zimmerman of Balko; two brothers, Dean Zimmerman of Merritt Island, Fla., and Joe Zimmerman of Huntsville, Ala.; and nine grandchildren. New Mexico Alma Louise Cannon CLOVIS, N.M. - Alma Louise Cannon, 69, died Sunday, April 20, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel, 1500 N. Thornton, with the Rev. Tim Askew officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. CDT at Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, Texas. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Ms. Cannon was born in Lockney, Texas. She was a longtime area resident and had been a secretary in an insurance office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Friona. Survivors include two sons, Glen Cannon of Houston, and Lawny Cannon of Lubbock, Texas; three daughters, Patty Eudy of Garland, Texas, Joni Powell of Quinlan, Texas, and Vicki Steward of Clovis; a brother, William P. Holmes of Floydada, Texas; three sisters, Johnnie McKinney and Betsy Snow, both of Amarillo, Texas, and Callie Jackson of Green Creek, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Charles L. Mills CLOVIS, N.M. - Charles L. Mills, 93, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel, 1500 N. Thornton, with Dr. Mark Scott officiating. Burial will be at Plains Sanctuary Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Mills was born in Maryville, Tenn. He came to the Territory of New Mexico in 1909 when his family had homestead in the Ranchvale Community, when he was 6 years old. He married Stella Maud Hudson in 1926 at Brownfield, Texas. He began his teaching career in Fairfield, Roosevelt County, in 1923, culminating with his retirement as the superintendent of Hobbs Municipal Schools in 1964. He served on the board of Stewards of Hobbs First Methodist Church from 1935 until 1964. He was a member of the Wesley Foundation Board at Eastern New Mexico University. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and past worshipful master of Hobbs Lodge No. 63. He served as president of the Hobbs Downtown Lions Club and as district governor of Lions International District No. 40, and he was a member of the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce. He was president of the New Mexico School Administrative Association in 1950 and president of New Mexico School Masters Club from 1951 until 1953. He was director of Southwest Region Associated Public School Systems from 1959 until 1961 and president of the New Mexico Education Association in 1961. The Educational Community has recognized his contributions with numerous honors and awards. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Margie Lancaster of Clovis; a son, Dr. Ladd Mills of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Vernon Mills of Clovis; three sisters, Vivian Webb and Lucille Lancaster, both of Clovis, and Maybelle Schultz of Portales; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Clovis building fund. Area J.L. Henderson DUMAS - J.L. "Les'' Henderson, 79, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Rick Milby of Arlington Heights Nazarene, Corpus Christi, and the Rev. Lowell Schmidt of Church of the Nazarene, Dumas, officiating. Burial will be at the Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Henderson was born in Wheeler County. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1947. He was an engineer for Exell Helium Plant of Dumas and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He married Ida Mae Stockton in 1942 at Sayre, Okla. He was a member of the AFLCIO Union Workers Association and a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Dumas. In the early 1960s he helped write the government contract for the helium plant. He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1993. Survivors include three sons, David L. Henderson of Bryan, Jerry D. Henderson of Fayetteville, N.C., and John L. Henderson of Copperas Cove; four sisters, Eunice Hicks of Tucumcari, N.M., Pearl Hicks of St. Louis, Mo., Helen Greniger of Los Angeles, and Loretta Henderson ; two stepsisters; a stepbrother; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Chleo Atlee Davis SHAMROCK - Chleo Atlee Davis, 92, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church with grandsons Jerry Davis of Collinsville and Ken Villandry of Coweta, Okla., officiating. Burial will be at Dozier Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Davis was born in Lannis. He married Opal Luretta Sublett in 1927 at Amarillo. She died in 1960. He then married Hallie Galbreth in 1965. She died in 1993. He farmed and ranched in Collingsworth County. Later he was the foreman of Sidwell Ranch in Shamrock. He then moved to Amarillo in 1994. He was a member of the Abra Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Donald D. Davis of Canadian, and Ralph L. Davis of Amarillo; a daughter, Betty Jo Villandry of Amarillo; a sister, Callie Mae Buckner of Shamrock; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church in Shamrock. Ernest Marion Burnett PERRYTON - Ernest Marion Burnett, 78, died Saturday, April 19, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Christ with Terry G. Danley, minister, officiating. Burial will be at Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton. Mr. Burnett was born in Haworth, Okla. He married Faye Price in 1946 at Foreman, Ark. He was a pipe liner and worked for Gorman and Phillips Construction from 1963 until he retired in 1983. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Ann Hefner of Lakeland, Fla., Linda Wein and Shelia Moss, both of Perryton; a son, Phil Burnett of Perryton; a sister, Marie Jeanes of Haworth, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the funeral home in Canyon today from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mrs. Heline was born in Baltimore. She attended school in Baltimore. She was a homemaker and she gave her services to her community and relatives when they needed home nursing care. She was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Baltimore. She moved to Stratford in 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Heline in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Weiland and Margaret Burns, both of Stratford; and two granddaughters. The family will be at 2200 Sixth Avenue, Canyon. She moved to Pampa in 1975. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church where she was in the Senior's Club. She was preceded in death by two husbands. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Ms. King was born in Seminole, Okla. She had lived in Tennessee until 1946, and moved to Albuquerque, N.M., where she owned and operated a restaurant. She moved to Amarillo in 1992. Survivors include a sister, Viola Gilbreath of Mount Pleasant; and a brother, Haskell Harmon of Hereford.
