Bell Ralph R. Bell, 84, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. Isaac Butterworth, pastor of First Presbyterian Church at Wichita Falls, and the Rev. Raymond Bowlin, pastor of First Baptist Church of Bushland, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bell was born in Carter County, Okla. He was a member of the Pioneer Bell family that settled West Amarillo. He served in the Army Air Corps for three years. He was a longtime employee of McKesson and Robbins before retiring in 1974. He was a Baptist. He married Marie Wines in 1935 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Mrs. John F. Bremer of Amarillo and Mrs. L.T. Long of Hereford. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Shelden Liann Posey Shelden Liann Posey, infant daughter of Andy Posey and Kimi McElroy of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. David Fletcher of Northwest Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Shelden was born in Amarillo. Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Shayden Mills and Ashley Posey, both of the home; grandparents, Gary and Sue Posey of Amarillo, Roger McElroy of Canyon and Joyce McElroy of Johnson, Kan.; and great-grandmother, Mildred McElroy of Randall, Kan. Sean Gilbert Morin Sean Gilbert Morin, 1-day-old son of Tinker and Lisa Morin of 3622 E. 32nd Ave., died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. The body will not be available for viewing. James Henry Hatch James Henry Hatch, 57, of 4313 S. Bowie St., died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Holley Funeral Home Chapel at Canyon. Cremation is by Memory Gardens Crematory. Mr. Hatch was born in Atchison, Kan. He had lived in the Amarillo area for 13 years. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include a son, Jason David Hatch of Amarillo; Elana Harvey of Amarillo; two sisters, Marion Sullivan of Chicago and Sandy "Bert" McMurray of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Erma Jean Johnson Erma Jean Johnson, 71, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 14, 1997. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Rogers, pastor, and the Rev. V.P. Perry, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Johnson was born in Wichita Falls and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. She was educated in the public school system. She worked as a custodian for the Pantex plant. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Claudie B. Johnson of Amarillo; a sister, Maxine Bush of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1337 N.W. 13th Ave. Oklahoma Lilly Guthrie Edmondson ALTUS, Okla. - Lilly Guthrie Edmondson, 99, died Thursday, March 20, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Methodist Church at Tipton with the Rev. Joe Molencupp officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in East Mound Cemetery at Matador, Texas, by Carter Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis. Mrs. Edmondson was born in Waller County, Texas. She married Albert S. Edmondson in 1924 at Guerra, Texas. He died in 1946. She was a theater operator in Tipton until 1964. She was a member of the Methodist church at Tipton from 1938 until 1994, when she moved to Altus. Survivors include a sister, Lloyd Dirickson of Matador. Eva M. Martin GUYMON, Okla. - Eva M. Martin, 77, of Grand Junction, Colo., died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. Family committal will be Sunday morning in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Martin was born in Dalhart, Texas. She grew up in towns between Liberal, Kan., and Santa Rosa, N.M. She attended school in Boise City, Dalhart and Liberal. She married J. Glen Martin in 1938 at Springfield, Colo. His occupation took them to Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming and Utah. In the early 1950s they moved to Cortez, Colo., and then to Grand Junction. In the 1960s they worked in the jungles of Suriname and Ecuador, South America. They returned to Georgia and Texas before retiring in Grand Junction in 1977. Mrs. Martin was a charter member of the Rainbow Girls at Boise City and a 50year member of the Order of the Easter Star No. 103 in Grand Junction. She attended continuing education classes at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth and at Mesa College in Grand Junction. She owned and operated the Paris Shoppe in Grand Junction. She also had worked at Helenes'. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay Martin. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve Martin of Aztec, N.M., and Chris Martin of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a hospice. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jimmye Cole, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Lookingbill was born and raised in Mexhoma, Okla. He moved to Dalhart in 1960. He worked for City Radio Repair for many years. He attended the Nazarene church. He married Mayme Caldwell in 1960 at Dalhart. She died in 1995. Survivors include a brother, George Lookingbill of Clayton, N.M.; and two sisters, Grace Fudge of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ola Mae Gardner of Clayton. The family suggests memorials be to National Diabetes Foundation or the Nazarene Church. James Edward Brown TULIA - James Edward Brown, 63, of Plainview, a former Tulia resident, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Jackson, pastor of Jackson Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born in Waco. He grew up in Lulen and attended school there. He moved to San Antonio at the age of 14. He married Helen Yarbrough in 1952 at San Antonio. They were divorced in 1993. He joined the Army and served in Korea from 1953 to 1955. After being discharged, he lived in Tulia from 1956 to 1978. He then moved to Fort Worth. He returned to Tulia in 1987 and moved to Plainview in 1995. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Earl Brown and John Andrew Brown. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Landrum and Flora Marie Brown, both of Plainview; three sons, James A. Brown Jr. of Phoenix, Edward Brown of Fort Worth and William Patrick Brown of Plainview; two sisters, Canilia Brown and Johnnie Mae Woods; three brothers, William Brown, J.D. Brown and Chauncey Brown; 15 grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Amy Michele McWilliams BORGER - Amy Michele McWilliams, 28, died Thursday, March 20, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Ms. McWilliams was born in Borger. She had recently returned to Borger after living in Fayetteville, N.C. She was a legal secretary and secretary of the Rape Crisis Volunteers of Cumberland County, N.C. She had attended one year at the University of North Carolina Law School. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Francis and Vivian McWilliams of Borger; her mother, Sherry McWilliams of Amarillo; a brother, Jeremy Paul McWilliams of Amarillo; grandmothers, Carolyn Morris of Elk City, Okla., and Amy McFadden of Kingston, Okla.; and a great-grandmother, Corley Stearns of Borger. May, 66, died Thursday, March 20, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Alanreed Cemetery at Alanreed with the Rev. Doug Harvey of First Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, in Amarillo. Mr. May was born in Harveyville, Kan., and had lived in Panhandle since 1971. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a master sergeant when he retired from the Air Force. He married Willie in 1952 at Albuquerque, N.M. He worked at Pantex as an electronics technician. He was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diana N. Neely of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Debbie Sitz of Panhandle; two sons, Dale May of Aurora, Colo., and Donald May of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Darlein Lockhoof CHILDRESS - Darlein Reed Lockhoof, 73, died Saturday, March 15, 1997. Memorial services were Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. The body was donated to medical science. Mrs. Lockhoof was born in Donley County. She married Walter Lockhoof in 1944 at Childress. She was a 1939 graduate of Memphis High School. She had worked at Kraft Cheese in Memphis and Watkins Department Store in Childress. Survivors include her husband; a son, Reed Lockhoof of Austin; and a grandson. Mac Shelton PERRYTON - Mac Shelton, 58, died Thursday, March 20, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Tim Buschman, the Rev. Gary Jahnel and Craig Vanderburgh officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Mobeetie Cemetery at Mobeetie by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Shelton was born in Wheeler County and raised in Mobeetie. He graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1956. He lived in Fritch for 11 years, in Dumas for two years and in Spearman for 20 years. He had lived in Perryton for six years. He married Peggy Loretta Hooker in 1956 at Wheeler County. He was a technician for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Spearman. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Loretta Mick and Willetta Kimbrough, both of Perryton; two brothers, Tyson Shelton of Elk City, Okla., and Joe Shelton of Mobeetie; two sisters, Mae Bailey of Mobeetie and Juanell Eberting of Albuquerque, N.M.; five granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. The family requests memorials be to Ochiltree Hospice, 3101 Garrett, Perryton, Texas 79070; Full Gospel Church in Perryton; or a favorite charity. Paul E. Leach CHILDRESS - Paul E. Leach, 79, died Thursday, March 20, 1997. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Childress Church of Christ with Bill Mayes, minister, and the Rev. Kerry Wood, minister of music at First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Leach was born in Childress. He was a service manager for Ragsdale Chevrolet in Childress for a number of years. He then worked for the Texas Highway Department before retiring. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Childress Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Childress Sportsman Club and the Childress Church of Christ. He was active for many years with Meals on Wheels. He married Lorraine Couch in 1938 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronny Leach of Graham; a daughter, Paula Schubarth of Childress; a sister, Oleta Fern Lanham of Amarillo; a brother, Dan Leach of Rosenburg; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Johnny Hamilton PLAINVIEW - Johnny Hamilton, 55, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Hamilton was born in Childress. He grew up in Childress and attended school there. He moved to Plainview in 1955 and was a truck driver for Jay Lines. He was raised in the Assembly of God Church. He married Fran Moczygemba in 1962 at Plainview. Survivors include two daughters, Terri Taylor and Vicki Gatewood, both of Plainview; a son, Johnny Ray Hamilton of Amarillo; a brother, Bruce Hamilton of Tulia; four sisters, Linda Presley, Nancy Cox and Judy Shuping, all of Plainview, and Brenda Marshall of Tulia; and six grandchildren.
