Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Theresa's Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Pena officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Cemetery at Littlefield by Freeman Funeral Home. Mr. Garcia was born in Aldanias, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He lived in Alamo and moved to Fieldton in 1950. He moved from Olton to Hale Center in 1974. He married Eufemia Torres in 1937 at Edinburg. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Ruben Garcia of Fort Worth, Raul Garcia of Olton, Baldomero Garcia of Littlefield, and Alfredo Garcia and Eddie Garcia, both of Hale Center; a brother, Ramon Garcia of Rio Grande; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Henry M. Baker Jr. CHILDRESS - Henry M. Baker Jr., 75, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley of the church officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Baker was born in Quitaque. He married Jackie Foust in 1950 at Childress. He was a district accountant for the Texas Highway Department in Childress before retiring in 1983. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was secretary of Sunday school for 33 years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve Baker of Canyon and Kenneth Baker of Clinton, Okla.; a daughter, Lisa Davis of Dallas; a sister, Mary Kate Holland of Childress; a brother, John W. Baker of Pearland; and two grandchildren. Alta Fay Humphreys BORGER - Alta Fay Humphreys, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Johnson Park Church of Christ with Gary Bodine officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Humphreys was born in Sherman and had been a Borger resident for 64 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Park Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Cecil C. Humphreys; two sons, Kenneth C. Humphreys of Tucumcari, N.M., and Edwin E. "Doc" Humphreys of Saint Marys, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley A. Bruce of Borger; a brother, Loy Ross of Hinton, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 110 Taylor in Borger. Francis M. Williams CHILDRESS - Francis M. Williams, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley of the church officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born in Childress and had been a lifetime Childress resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.A. Williams, in 1995; and a son, Lynn Williams, in 1979. She was owner and operator of the credit bureau. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jerry Williams of Euless; a brother, Bill Law of Childress; four grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Velma Gwyn MULESHOE - Velma Gwyn, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Wagoner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Gwyn was born in Nolan County. She moved to the Muleshoe area in 1925 from Elida, N.M. She married Byron Gwyn in 1931 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1983. She was a homemaker, a charter member of the Progress Methodist Church and a member of the Progress Circle and the Muleshoe Senior Citizens. She taught Sunday school for a number of years and also taught in the Muleshoe elementary schools before World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Gwyn Walker of Hobbs, N.M.; a sister, Lois McDorman Shield of Pahrump, Nev.; a brother, John McDorman of Fence Lake, N.M.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
