Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with the Rev. Rick Rice of Bykota Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Winters was born in Lamar County and had lived in Amarillo for 50 years. He worked for Gilvin-Terrell for more than 25 years. He also worked for Amarillo Oil Mill. He was a member of Bykota Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 731. He married Doyce Newman in 1978 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Wayne Winters, in 1978. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jess Newman of Amarillo; a daughter, Roxie Gossett of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Gisela Heinig Gisela Heinig, 78, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St. Cremation was by Memorial Park Crematory. Mrs. Heinig was born in Wiesenfeld, Austria, and emigrated to the United States in 1956. She moved to Amarillo in 1981. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Renee Childers of Amarillo; a son, Detlef Heinig of Salt Lake City; a sister, Ann E. Hawkins of Ogden, Utah; and four grandchildren. The family will be at 5305 W. 42nd Ave. Helen Gregory Helen Gregory, 68, of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Dwayne Vogler residence, 608 S. 11th in Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle, in Amarillo. Ms. Gregory was born in Oklahoma. She was raised in Hereford and lived in California and Arizona before moving to Amarillo one year ago. She owned and operated a restaurant before retiring. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cecile "Petie'' Curtis, in 1994. Survivors include a brother, Euel Perry of Hereford; a sister, Patricia Vogler of Hereford; two grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Ashton Drake Capwell-Owens Ashton Drake Capwell-Owens, infant of Amy Dawn Owens of Amarillo and Anthony Damon Capwell of Midland, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. New Mexico Kenneth Lewis Pruey GRADY, N.M. - Kenneth Lewis Pruey, 62, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at Rio Rancho. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel at Clovis with the Rev. Tony Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens at Clovis. Mr. Pruey was born in Lock Haven, Pa. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Korea. He served tours at Cannon Air Force Base in 1951 and 1962. He retired in 1971. He moved to Grady in 1980 and lived in that community until his death. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3280 and the Clovis / Portales Elks Lodge 1244. Survivors include five daughters, Kathy Frost of Rio Rancho, Sheila Stagner of Truth or Consequences, Terri Almoney and Kristy Bennett, both of Clovis, and Tina Verble of Grady; two sisters and a brother, all of Pennsylvania; and 13 grandchildren. Elsewhere Keith G. Martin GALVESTON - Keith G. Martin, 86, a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Galveston. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Houston. Arrangements are by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Galveston. Mr. Martin was born in Independence, Mo. He moved to Amarillo in 1924 and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1929. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and served in the Army Air Corps. He had lived in the Galveston Bay area for the past 20 years. Survivors include a sister, Bettye M. Walders of Amarillo. he verified death; 352-4377..Bettye} Ted Ray Graham ANDREWS - Ted Ray Graham, 67, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Street, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery by McNett Funeral Home. Mr. Graham was born in Memphis. He married Doris Parks in 1951 at Clovis, N.M. They moved to Andrews 30 years ago from Frankel City. He was a plant operator for Phillips and worked for them for 35 years before retiring in 1992. He had served in the Navy. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Phillips Philresters. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charlie Graham of Odessa; a daughter, Jennifer Woodside of South China, Maine; and four grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Second Baptist Church. Oklahoma Terry Sena BEAVER, Okla. - Terry Sena, 72, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Forgan Cemetery with Oscar Ragan officiating. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service. Mrs. Sena was born in Riviera, N.M., and had been a resident of Beaver County for 14 years. She married Jose D. Sena in 1943 at Villanueva, N.M. She was a homemaker all of her life. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Joe Sena of Garden City, Kan., Albert Sena of Holly, Colo., David T. Sena and Ricky Sena, both of Beaver, John Sena of Perryton, Texas, and Ben Sena of Booker, Texas; four daughters, Mary Reski of Havre, Mont., Patsy Heflin of Lloyd, Mont., Stella Robison of Beaver and Sandra Wagner of Goodland, Kan.; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Area Justin Glenn Campbell BORGER - Justin Glenn Campbell, 20, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at San Angelo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Denton, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Campbell was born in Borger and graduated from Borger High School in 1994. He was a junior at San Angelo State University. While attending Borger High School, he was the 1994 Mr. Borger High, 1994 president of the student council and a member of the National Honor Society for two years. He was on the Borger High School yearbook staff for two years and served as co-editor. He was class favorite his freshman, sophomore and junior years. He was editor of Cable Time Inc. at San Angelo. Survivors include his parents, Tony and Kathy Campbell of Brownwood; a brother, Casey Campbell of San Antonio; grandparents, Don Campbell and Peggy Banks, both of Borger, and Don Banks of Mount Pleasant; and great-grandmother, Georgia Alexander of Borger. Jeanine Augustine PAMPA - Jeanine Augustine, 51, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Joe Bixenman, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Augustine was born in Norton, Kan. She married Ron Augustine in 1967 at Norton. They moved to Pampa in 1975. She worked for the Gray County Tax Assessor's office for 15 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Scott Augustine of Mangum, Okla., and Chad Augustine of Pampa; her mother, Teresa Goscha of Norton; six sisters, Imogene Hahn of Denver, Joan Riemann and Evelyn McDiffett, both of Norton, Jean Riemann of Beloit, Kan., Marilyn Schrum of Phillipsburg, Kan., and Karen Parsons of Ness City, Kan.; four brothers, Jerry Goscha of Logan, Kan., Don Goscha of Hill City, Kan., Bill Goscha of Norton and Bob Goscha of Bartlesville, Okla.; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Special Olympics. Mildred Mae Rose Jones PAMPA - Mildred Mae Rose Bowers Jones, 86, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Panhandle. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Leonard Harper, minister of the Church of Christ at Crosbyton, officiating. Eastern Star rites will be by Pampa Chapter 65 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery at Groom. Mrs. Jones was born in Sulphur, Okla., and had lived in Pampa most of her life. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, Pampa Chapter 65 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Retired Nurses Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Lace & Leather Riding Club. She was a licensed vocational nurse at Highland General Hospital from the time it opened until her retirement in 1975. She married James Lewis Bowers in 1926. He died in 1952. She later married Alvin Lester Jones. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a son, James Bowers, in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Leona Stamps of Panhandle; a brother, Bobby Audrey Rose of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center in Amarillo. Virginia Reddell BORGER - Virginia Reddell, 78, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Keeler Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Green officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Bartlesville, Okla. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reddell was born in McAlester, Okla., and lived in Bartlesville for 52 years. She moved to Borger 21/2 years ago. She was a homemaker and was retired from the telephone company and public service TRW. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1986; and a son, Gordon Reddell, in 1991. Survivors include a son, Pat Reddell of West Colombia; a daughter, Pam Casey of Borger; a sister, Katherine Ward of McAlester; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Don W. Redding WHEELER - Don W. Redding died Thursday, May 22, 1997, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Allison United Methodist Church at Allison with the Rev. Bill Wilson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle, in Amarillo. Mr. Redding was born in Terrell. He was a longtime resident of Springer, N.M., before moving to Wheeler two months ago. He was a rancher and also was involved in construction. He was a former member of the New Mexico Mounted Patrol. He married Josephine McDonald in 1941 at Albuquerque, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Susan Redding of Canadian; a son, Joel Redding of Helena, Mont.; and three grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. Frances Barks TULIA - Frances Barks, 85, a former Tulia resident, died Monday, May 19, 1997, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery with Andy and Janell Blair, pastors of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Ms. Barks was born in Mineral Wells. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's of science in education. She taught in Plainview for a few years and then moved to Upland, Calif., and taught for 37 years in the Kookamunga School District. She retired in the late 1980s and moved to Idaho Falls. She was a Presbyterian and a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a brother, Guy Barks of Wimberley. David Frank Hodges STINNETT - David Frank Hodges, 46, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel at Borger with the Rev. Scott Cundiff, pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Mr. Hodges was born in Canton, Miss. He had been a Stinnett resident since 1993, moving from Lubbock. He retired as a police officer for Texas Tech University in Lubbock and had also taught police training courses there. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a Ham radio operator. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jettice, in 1992; and an infant daughter in 1992. Survivors include a stepson, Quinn Martin of Conroe; two brothers, Gary Hodges and Mike Hodges, both of Borger; five sisters, Jeanie Pomeroy and Phyllis Hodges, both of Stinnett, Kay Hebert of Borger, Debra Hooten of Bastrop and Pam Jones of Mena, Ark.; and two grandchildren. Hugh Roden Jr. KRESS - Hugh Roden Jr., 69, died Friday, May 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Kress First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffery Lee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kress Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Roden was born and raised in Bynum and graduated from Bynum High School in 1944. He served in the Merchant Marines and in the Army in Okinawa. He was discharged in 1952 and moved to Plainview, where he began working with Santa Fe Railway. He married Wilma Inez Hager in 1953 at Okmulgee, Okla. He worked in Plainview and Kress and retired in 1989. He moved to Kress in 1969. He was a member of and usher at First Baptist Church. He was a member and past master at Tulia Masonic Lodge 733 and Plainview Masonic 709. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Kress School Board and the Tulia Country Club Board. Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Roden of Fairfield Bay, Ark., Denver Roden of El Paso and Dane Roden of Amarillo; his mother, Ruby Roden of Hillsboro; three brothers, Jim Roden of Greeley, Colo., Charles Roden of Waco and Mac Roden of Houston; and 10 grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Kress.
