Mrs. Bramlet was born in Lubbock County and was raised in Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School. She was affiliated with the Nazarene church. She married Eddie Bramlet in 1945 at Plainview. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charolette Lynette Bramlet. Survivors include her husband; a brother, Dwayne Ellis of Plainview; two sisters, Elaine McVicker and Gwyn Wilson, both of Plainview; and a grandchild. Sandra K. Scott BORGER - Sandra K. Scott, 42, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997, in Fritch. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Mrs. Scott was born in Shamrock and had lived in Borger for 11 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Worldwide Church of God of Amarillo. She married Tommy Scott in 1970 at Pampa. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edwin Scott Jr. of Borger and Timothy Scott of Dexter, N.M.; three brothers, Melvin Vick of Fritch, Jesse Vick of Hobbs, N.M., and Johnny Vick of Pampa; five sisters, Bonnie Gutierrez of Fritch, Carolyn Sue Purvis of Depew, Okla., Juanita Smith of Pampa, Helen Pool of Hobbs, N.M., and Mary Shrum of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle. Doris L. Black TULIA - Doris L. Black, 67, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born in Finney Switch. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1949. She married Vincent Nick Black in 1952 at Happy. They moved to Tulia in 1953. He died in 1996. Mrs. Black was an operating nurse at Swisher Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a past president of the Swisher County Library Board and a past chairman of the American Red Cross Disaster Unit and Service to Military Families. She was active in the Tulia Girl Scouts for more than 35 years and was appointed a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America in 1990. She was the organizer of the Plainview High School class of 1949 reunions. She was named Tulia's Outstanding Woman of the Year in 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Cecilia Langdon of Tulia; a son, Nick Black of Fritch; a sister, Gail Smith of Tulia; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Lucille Pauline Smith Scott PLAINVIEW - Lucille Pauline Smith Scott, 82, of Amarillo, a former Plainview resident, died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott was born and raised in Oblong, Ill. She graduated from Oblong High School and attended business school in Champaign, Ill. She worked for Missouri Power and Light Co. in Jefferson City, Mo., for several years. She married Martin "Scotty'' Scott in 1929 at Covington, Ind. He died in 1983. She moved to Borger in 1948 and did secretarial work for Singer Oil Co. and a CPA. She moved to Plainview in 1964 and worked in the bookkeeping department at Hale County State Bank. She retired in 1974. Mrs. Scott was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the Ladies Guild. She was a charter member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority in Plainview. She moved to Palo Duro Retirement Village in Canyon in 1992. She moved to Amarillo in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Putts of Amarillo and Susan Hemme of Plainview; a brother, Bruce Smith of Kirkwood, Mo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Saied was born in Hilton, Okla. He was a retail merchant and a veteran of the Navy. He married Mary DeGaish in 1946 at Sweetwater. Mr. Saied was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 695, the Elks Lodge and the Childress Country Club. He was a Shriner, a 32nd Degree Mason and a past president of the Childress Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his wife; a son, Sammy Saied of Amarillo; two brothers, George Saied of Perryton and Louis Saied of Amarillo; a sister, Najla Saied of Childress; and five grandchildren. Oklahoma Margaret Keenan GUYMON, Okla. - Margaret "Margie'' Keenan, 82, died Friday, Aug. 22, 1997, in Boulder City, Nev. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church by the Rev. Chuck Murphy. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Keenan was born in Spalding, Mo. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She married Joseph Keenan in 1937 at Kansas City, Mo. In 1947, they moved to Guymon, where she worked as a GTE telephone supervisor for 30 years. Mr. Keenan died in 1984. Mrs. Keenan moved to Boulder City in 1996. Survivors include a son, Larry Paul Keenan of Denver; two sisters, Lucille Golden and Marybelle Fanning, both of Boulder City; and five grandchildren. Edna Irene Miller GUYMON, Okla. - Edna Irene Miller, 69, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Church of the Nazarene with Terry Armstrong, pastor, and the Rev. Jimmy Pitson of Grace Southern Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born in Stroud, Okla. She married Samuel Henry Strong in 1953. They lived and farmed in the Weskan, Kan., area. Mr. Strong died in 1971. She moved to Guymon in 1975 and married Gary Miller in 1976. They continued to live in Guymon. Mrs. Miller was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Martha's Circle and Casting Crew and the Guymon Lions Club. She was a former member of Good Sam's Camping Club. Survivors include her husband; a son, Sam Strong of Optima; a daughter, Mary Howell of Guymon; her mother, Ora "Fern'' Walker of Guymon; two brothers, Marvin Rainwater of Drumright and Arthur Rainwater of Wheeling, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. New Mexico Ruby Wood PORTALES, N.M. - Ruby "Kitty'' Wood, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1997. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Gary Atkinson and the Rev. Gary Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery. Mrs. Wood was born in Dawson, Ga. She graduated from high school in 1934 and began working in a canning factory in Omaha, Neb. In 1943, she began a four-year training program in nursing at St. Joseph Hospital at Omaha. She graduated salutatorian of her class and began practicing nursing in 1947. She married Troy Russell Wood in 1947 at Portales. They moved to Albany, Ga., where she worked at Phoebe Putney Hospital. They returned to Portales in 1960. Mr. Wood died in 1962. Mrs. Wood worked as a volunteer at the local hospital for several years and worked in the nursing home at the hospital until 1986. Survivors include a son, Jim Wood of Portales; two daughters, Juanita Smith of Capitan and Jo Wood McCollum of Alamogordo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Lucille McIntosh Hancock TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Lucille McIntosh Hancock, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Civil, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Hancock was born in Ford, Texas, and had been a longtime resident of Tucumcari, moving there in 1926 with her family. She was a 1928 graduate of Tucumcari High School. She also was a graduate of West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon, Texas. She was a teacher in Hartley, Texas, for three years before marrying Henry Hancock. He died in 1965. Mrs. Hancock taught in the Tucumcari school system for 30 years. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and a member and past matron of Bethel Chapter No. 15 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Art League, Delta Kappa Gamma and WMU. Survivors include a son, A.W. Hancock of Tucumcari; two daughters, Marilyne Caton of Morgan, Utah, and Ila Beth Hancock of Santa Fe; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Bob Bogle CLOVIS, N.M. - Robert G. Bogle, 20, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997. Mr. Bogle was born in Albuquerque. He moved to Clovis in 1990 from Albuquerque. He attended Clovis schools and was a member of the Boy Scouts. He married Mary Nickerson in 1996 at Clovis. Lura Graves Labrier CLAYTON, N.M. - Lura Graves Labrier, 102, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Ms. Labrier was born in Montague County, Texas, and moved with her family to Clayton in 1918. She worked at First National Bank and later at Isaacs Hardware Store and M.G. Tixier Clothing Store. She also was the Clayton city clerk for two years. She was a homemaker, a businesswoman and a rancher. She was a member of First Baptist Church and furnished flowers for the church. She also belonged to many civic organizations. Ms. Labrier had been a resident of Salida Del Sol nursing home since 1990. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Porter McCuistion, and a stepson, Robert Dee Graves. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty'' Pepper of Clayton; two stepdaughters, Leona Ann Armijo of Montezuma and Imagene Francis of Glendale, Ariz.; a brother, Malcolm Smithson of Clayton; two granddaughters; and many stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of West Texas State University. She was a first-grade teacher at Wolflin and Belmar elementary schools in Amarillo before retiring. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association and the Potter County Retired Teachers Association. She was an honorary member of the PTA. Mrs. Boswell taught Sunday school in Temple and at Paramount Baptist Church. She moved to Fort Worth three years ago and joined Solid Rock Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Monroe Boswell; a son, Dan Boswell of Tyler; a brother, Calvin Campbell of Seymour; a sister, Juanita Harrison of Granbury; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was raised in Carter County, Okla., and graduated from Wilson High School in Wilson, Okla. She received her teaching certificate from Central Oklahoma Teachers College in Edmond, Okla. She taught school in Wilson before marrying Floyd C. Waggoner in 1928 at Gainesville. Mr. Waggoner died in 1992. She lived in New Orleans for 35 years before moving to Canyon in 1979. She was a member of University Church of Christ. Survivors include two brothers, Clell Bonifield and Dyer Bonifield, both of Canyon; and two sisters, Georgia Wilson of Claude and Billy Jane Harvey of Riverside, Calif. She was a member of Valley View Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Tyrrell was preceded in death by a son, Scott Leroy Tyrrell, in 1982. He moved to Yakima, Wash., in 1955, and worked as a welder and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Union Local No. 302 for about 50 years. Mr. Hall moved to Amarillo in 1991. He was active in the community of Country Estates, where he helped mow medians and build carports. He married Edna Schwarz in 1947 at Pryor, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve Hall of Amarillo; a sister, Geraldine Jervis of Richard, Wash.; and two grandchildren. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Renton, Wash., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge. Mr. Cantrell married N. Maurine Berry in 1949 at Winfield.
