Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Childress Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Leonard was born in Acme. He was a retired supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. He married Marcia Kinney in 1950 at Childress. He was on the board of directors for Childress Regional Medical Center and on the board of directors for the Childress County Youth Project Show. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a lay leader, and member of the Hughes Sunday school class. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 695, Eastern Star No. 101, and treasure of the Old Settlers Association. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Karen Leonard and Julia Olson, both of Childress; his mother, Sallie Leonard of Quanah; two sisters, Sue Gentry and Marie Wells, both of Quanah; and three grandchildren. Martha Jo Brown DALHART - Martha Jo Brown, 65, died Friday, May 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God at Sunray, with the Rev. Claude Hendricks, pastor of First Assembly of God in Dalhart, and the Rev. Wynes Manney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. Brown was born in Shattuck, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God in Dalhart. She had been a resident of Dalhart since 1992. She had also been a resident of Sunray from 1986 until 1992. She was a former resident of Spearman. She married James Brown in 1950 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Becky Myers of Perryton; three sons, Mike Brown of Woodward, Okla., Kenny Brown of Sunray, and Roger Brown of Weatherford; two sisters, Gladys Harp of Sunray, and Annie Popejoy of North Highlands, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Webb was born in Decatur. She had been a resident of Lubbock County since 1942. She was a member of the Lakeside Church of Christ. She married Lee A. Webb in 1930 at Fredrick, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, and a daughter, Lillian Moore, in 1973. Survivors include three sons, Wayne and Glenn, both of Lubbock, and Gene of Amarillo; a sister, Ruth Gotcher of Decatur; three grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. New Mexico James Mathew Chavez CLOVIS - James Mathew Chavez, 29, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Mr. Chavez was born in Clovis. He worked for Frozfruit in Clovis for 11 years. He attended the House of Prayer Church. Amarillo William R. Caldwell William R. "Bob'' Caldwell, 50, of Lafayette, La., a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, May 22, 1997. Georgia St. Mr. Caldwell was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1964. He graduated from West Texas State University in 1971 with a degree in business. He worked as an insurance adjuster for many years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, George and Ruth Caldwell of Amarillo; a sister, Carolee Caldwell of Amarillo; and a brother, Kenny Caldwell of Austin. He moved to Amarillo eight months ago from Las Cruces, N.M. He was a retired truck driver and warehouse man. He was a Methodist. He married Cathy Drinan in 1984 at Las Cruces, N.M. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Bea Springstead of Mabton, Wash.; and a sister, Cassie Babcock of Rendon, Wash. He retired from working in the special equipment repair department at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was in the Army as a member of the military police, serving in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Davis of Amarillo; two sons, Michael Gene White and Orren Lee White, both of Amarillo; a sister, Dorothy Davis of Garland; and three grandchildren. She was a seamstress and she worked for the Hub Clothiers and McCoy & Ballou for many years. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. She married Roy C. Alexander in 1931 at Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and a daughter, Patsy Ann Kennedy, in 1997. Survivors include three grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Curtis was a professional jockey in the Panhandle area, the Southwest part of the United States and Canada. He had lived in Amarillo for most of his life. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was also a member of KAK Choir. She married George H. Coffey in 1946 at Oakland, Calif. Survivors include her husband; three sons, George Coffey Jr. of Amarillo, James Michael Coffey of Texhoma, Okla., and Dwayne Allen Coffey of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Kathy Sue Mason and Martha Jo Hunt, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Margaret Bennett of Caruthersville, Mo., and Hazel Beck of Blytheville, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Frasier was born in Lincoln Parish, La. He came to Amarillo in 1963 from Canada. He was a former Tanglewood resident. He was a real estate investor. He was the original franchise owner of Manpower Temporary Services, Inc., from 1964 until 1993. He was a veteran of World War II. He received the Purple Heart Award in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 731, 32nd Degree Mason, and member of Khiva Shrine Temple. He married Virginia Gray in 1942 at Sunray. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kearney Cole of Amarillo; a daughter, Linda Cole; a brother, Pervis Frasier of Amarillo; two sisters, Jereline Musick of Dumas, and Rebecca Heiskell of Amarillo; his father, Florence Frasier of Dumas; and a grandson.
