Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in White Deer Cemetery at White Deer with the Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor of Pentecostal Holiness Church at Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Weaver was born in Pampa and had lived in Skellytown and White Deer most of his life. He attended Frank Phillips College at Borger and had worked for Singer Sewing Machine. He was employed at Phillips Petroleum Co., where he worked primarily in the Elkhart, Kan., plant. He married Margaret Morrow in 1962 at Borger. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rebecca Scoggin and Angela Rowell, both of Pampa; a son, William "Lesley" Weaver of California; his mother, Rosa Lee Weaver of Skellytown; two sisters, Carolyn Rutherford of Skellytown and Sandra Keys of Borger; a brother, Robert Weaver of Pampa; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, P.O. Box 2795, Pampa, Texas 79066-2795. Dorsey James Cruzan Sr. PAMPA - Dorsey James "Tarzan" Cruzan Sr., 84, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Pampa with the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Cruzan was born in Cushing, Okla., and was a longtime Pampa resident. He married Crystal Holmes in 1930 at Chandler, Okla.; she died in 1992. He was a dispatcher for B&L Tank Trucks for several years, retiring in 1978. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Teel of Oklahoma City and Sarah Simmons of Piedmont, Okla.; two sons, Davey Cruzan of Spring and Dorsey Cruzan Jr. of Pampa; three brothers, Tom Cruzan of Cushing, J.C. Cruzan of Guymon, Okla., and Melvin Cruzan of Colorado; a sister, Dorothy Martin of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; and several great-greatgrandchildren. R.L. Ellison AIKEN - R.L. Ellison, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at Plainview with F.L. Montandon, elder at Main Street Church of Christ at Lockney, officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery at Lockney. Mr. Ellison was born and raised in Hill County. He married Annie Laura Bailey in 1931 at Itasca. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church. He moved in 1947 to the Aiken community, where he owned and operated a Phillips 66 Service Station from 1952 until 1956. He worked as a driver for Paymaster Seed from 1956 until retiring in 1976. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Richard Ellison, in 1989. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Jo Sevier of Houston and Era Spurrier of San Antonio; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Fred Howard PLAINVIEW - Fred Howard, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in 9th and Columbia Church of Christ with Jim Brewer of South Plains Church of Christ at Lubbock and Dee Martin, elder, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Howard was born in Hale Center and had lived in Hale County most of his life. He married Minnie Lou Alley in 1948 at Plainview. He was a veteran of World War II. He was parts manager for E.K. Hufstedler & Son from 1947 until retiring. He was president of Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum at Hale Center. He was a charter member of VFW Post No. 5399 and a partner in H.D.H. Warehouse. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Lynn Howard of Dallas; a sister, Eleanor Makewicz of Plainview; two brothers, Harold Dean Howard of Omaha, Neb., and James Roy Howard of Lynn Creek, Mo.; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum at Hale Center. Marguerite Reynolds SILVERTON - Marguerite Reynolds, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, in Brownfield. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Silverton Cemetery with John Schott officiating. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reynolds was born in Gibtown. She married Marvin Reynolds in 1931; he died in 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Tulia. Survivors include two sons, W.W. Reynolds of Tatum and Jerry Reynolds of Highlands; three daughters, Jo Hamilton of Dimmitt, Jimmie Ford of Brownfield and Dianne Bailey of Austin; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. R.V. Johnson TURKEY - R.V. Johnson, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of Christ with Stuart Smith, minister, officiating, and J.D. Nance, minister of Rock Creek Church of Christ, assisting. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery at Turkey by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mr. Johnson was born in Hall County. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Joleta Cruse in 1942 at Tulia. He was a retired farmer and a member of Turkey Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Voleta Miller of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Delos Johnson of Quitaque and Ellmore Johnson of Lubbock; four sisters, Stella Conner of Turkey, Gladys Johnson and Kaleta Corder, both of Lubbock, and Catheryn Blessen of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and nine grandchildren. James Orin Evans QUANAH - James Orin Evans, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Big Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Currie of First Methodist Church at Crowell officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Evans was born in Calera, Okla., and had lived in Hardeman County since 1926. He was a Baptist. Survivors include two sisters, Rula Belle Hatley of Kansas City, Mo., and Juiquita Janek of Waco; two brothers, Paul Evans of Taft, Calif., and Kenneth Evans of Odessa. Thomas David May FRITCH - Thomas David "Tom" May, 47, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fritch Church of Christ with Bob Heil, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by MintonChatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. May was an active member of Church of Christ, where he was a deacon for six years, taught bible classes and helped with song service. He married Carolyn Elizabeth Stevenson in 1976 at Groom. He earned his eagle scout award in 1964 and graduated from Phillips High School in 1967. He received his associate of arts degree from Frank Phillips College in 1969, and his bachelor of science degree and masters degree in counseling from West Texas State University at Canyon. He had worked as a teacher and coach at Gruver, Vega, Spearman, Amarillo and Tucumcari, N.M., and was a counselor in Fritch for six years. He had worked 25 years in school systems. He enjoyed camping and traveling. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Byron May and Dallas May, both of the home; a daughter, Stephanie May of the home; his mother, Louise May of Colbert, Okla.; a brother, Don May of Amarillo; and a sister, Diane Powell of Midland. The family requests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home of Amarillo. Lula Jennelda Fulton FLOYDADA - Lula Jennelda Fulton, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howell Farnsworth, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Fulton was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., where she attended school. She moved to Floydada in 1945 from Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Cleo Wayne Fulton; he died in 1992. Survivors include three sons, Carrol Fulton of Gallup, N.M., and Bill Fulton and Laron Fulton, both of Floydada; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
