Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Andrew D. Parker officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Ms. Bowman was born in Amarillo and had lived here all of her life. She recently became a resident of Amarillo Nursing Center. Survivors include a sister, Mary Jo Nichols of El Paso; and a brother, John H. Boyd of Warner Robbins, Ga. The body will not be available for viewing. Maria G. Gomez Maria G. Gomez, 55, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 23, 1997. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Martin Catholic Church by the Rev. Francis Crowe of the church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Gomez was born in Dilley. She moved to Amarillo in 1986 from Cotton Center. She married Jose Gomez in 1972 at Lubbock. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jose Antonio Castanon of Amarillo; a daughter, Marianita Florentino of El Paso; three sisters, Carol Vasquez and Crispina Gomez, both of San Antonio, and Lucia Gomez of Lubbock; two brothers, Nayo Gomez and Juan Ortega, both of Kyle; and three grandchildren. Elsewhere Paul Bell LIBERAL, Kan. - Paul Bell, 76, died Sunday, May 25, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Western Avenue Church of Christ with Glen Walton officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in East View Memorial Park Cemetery at Vernon, Texas. Arrangements are by Miller Mortuary. Mr. Bell was born in Tyrone, Okla. He graduated from the Five & One School in Lockett, Texas, and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He married Peggy L. Gatewood in 1949 at Vernon. Mr. Bell was an Army veteran of World War II. He ranched for several years near Fort Worth, Texas. He lived in Ralls, Lubbock and Amarillo before moving to Liberal in 1967. He was a sales representative for W.R. Grace Chemicals and traveled in western Kansas, eastern Colorado and the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma before retiring in 1988. He was a member of Western Avenue Church of Christ in Liberal. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Bell of Sulphur Springs, Texas; a brother, Loy W. Bell Jr. of Monroe, La.; four sisters, Joyce LeBlanc of Slidell, La., Betty Burelsmith and Helen Dyer, both of Lubbock, and Aurelia Cleveland of Lewisville, Texas; and two granddaughters. Leonard P. Rieck LIBERAL, Kan. - Leonard P. Rieck, 82, died Saturday, May 24, 1997, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Miller Mortuary Chapel with Charles Brisendine officiating. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery. Mr. Rieck was born in Ashland. He moved to Liberal in 1946 from Fairview, Okla. He was a carpenter for the Warren Construction Co. in Liberal from 1946 until retiring in 1985. He married Hutoka W. Warren in 1941 at Wellington. She died in 1996. He also was preceded in death by a daughter. Mr. Rieck was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Leonard D. Rieck of Elmonte, Calif., Marvin L. Rieck of Hampton, Va., and Rodney L. Rieck of Amarillo; three daughters, Leona Miller of Turpin, Okla., Joan Milburn of Wichita and Linda Lunceford of Tyrone, Okla.; a sister, Alice Jean Goforth of Miami, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the mortuary from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday. New Mexico Marie Skaggs CLOVIS, N.M. - Marie Skaggs, 72, died Sunday, May 25, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Mission Garden of Memories with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Skaggs was born in Clovis and had been a lifelong Clovis resident. She married Robert Skaggs in 1947. She was a beautician and a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jimmy Skaggs of Clovis and Bill Skaggs of Irving, Texas; a daughter, Lynette Wood of Portales; three brothers, John Riley, Earl Riley and James Riley, all of Clovis; three sisters, Pauline Pape, Margaret Brewer and Betty Guthals, all of Clovis; two grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Mexico. Mike Aragon Jr. CLOVIS, N.M. - Mike Aragon Jr., 70, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe by the Rev. Daniel M. Balizan. Burial will be in Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery at Puerto de Luna with military honors by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Aragon was born in Puerto de Luna. He served in the Army during World War II from 1945 to 1946. He moved to Clovis in the 1960s and married Frances Dominguez in 1964. He worked for the city of Clovis as a mechanic. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community and the church choir. He also was a member of American Legion Post 25, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3015, Knights of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dolores Bibbs and Mary Prucey, both of Clovis; a stepdaughter, Rose Whittey of Tucumcari; a stepson, Alex Ortiz of Santa Fe; three sisters, Mena Napier and Judy Zamora, both of Duarte, Calif., and Josie Sanchez of Albuquerque; 26 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Claude Hendricks, pastor of First Assembly of God in Dalhart, and the Rev. Wynes Manney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery at Sunray by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. Brown was born in Shattuck, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God in Dalhart. She had been a resident of Dalhart since 1992. She was a resident of Sunray from 1986 until 1992. She also was a former resident of Spearman. She married James Brown in 1950 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Becky Myers of Perryton; three sons, Mike Brown of Woodward, Okla., Kenny Brown of Sunray and Roger Brown of Weatherford; two sisters, Gladys Harp of Sunray and Annie Popejoy of North Highlands, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Mr. McCuistion was born in Duke, Okla., and had been a resident of Borger since 1943. He graduated from Borger High School in 1948 and from Oklahoma A&M in 1952. He had served in the Army and was a retired painter. He was one of the McCuistion brothers that played on radio and television. Survivors include his father, W.S. McCuistion of Borger; a daughter, Donna Sue Weaver of Garland; a brother, Merle McCuistion of Lorena; and four grandchildren. O.T. Tonguet SHAMROCK - O.T. Tonguet, 70, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Church of Christ with Sid Smith, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Tonguet was born in the Plymouth community. He married Joy Conner in 1967 at Shamrock. He worked for Clay Motor Co., and later moved to Amarillo where he worked for Bell Helicopter for 21 years before retiring. He then moved back to Shamrock in 1994. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Bell of Amarillo and Kathy Wolfshohl of San Angelo; two sisters, Pearl French of California and Mamie Bullock of Shamrock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Church of Christ building fund. Phynelpha Harlan Rhoades PAMPA - Phynelpha Harlan Rhoades, 61, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Mrs. Rhoades was born in Kellerville. She moved to Pampa in 1965 from Kellerville. She married Bobby Joe Rhoades in 1951 at Clovis, N.M. She was a bookkeeper for Stockstill Cattle Co. for 15 years. She also was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Marty Rhoades of Amarillo; a daughter, Sharlan Langley of Pampa; and a grandson. The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, P.O. Box 2782, Pampa, Texas 79066. The body will not be available for viewing. Annie Matilda Eudey McLEAN - Annie Matilda Eudey, 94, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Private family graveside services were at 1 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were by Lamb Funeral Home. Mrs. Eudey was born in Fannin County. She moved to McLean from Childress in 1921. She married Charlie Eudey in 1920. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Marie Fennell; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Moses Casas HEREFORD - Moses Casas, 26, died Saturday, May 24, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with Trini Perez officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mr. Casas was born in Hereford. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1989. He was a furniture warehouse worker and a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include his parents, Jose Manuel Casas and Julia Casas of Hereford; three brothers, Valente Casas of Friona, Miguel Casas of Amarillo and Manuel Casas of Hereford; and grandparents, Francisca Alcocer of Juarez, Mexico, and Jose and Antonia Chavarria of Durango, Mexico.t Richard Luther Mills BOOKER - Richard Luther Mills, 79, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, in Amarillo. No services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., in Amarillo. Mr. Mills was born in Sherman. He moved to Booker in 1971 from Fresno, Calif. He married Edith Worley in 1952 at Cairo, Ill. He was a pipeline welder and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 798 in Tulsa, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary L. Mills of Booker and Terry B. Walling of San Rafael, Calif.; a sister, Opal M. Huff of Canton; and five grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. Maria T. Cantu HEREFORD - Maria T. Cantu, 67, died Monday, May 26, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with Andres Del Toro and Gilbert Ozuna, ministers, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. Cantu was born in Costanos, Coahuila, Mexico. She had been a resident of Hereford for the past 37 years. She married Antonio de Hoyos Cantu in 1949. She was a member of the Pentecostal church. She was preceded in death by two sons. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Otila C. Funkhouser of San Antonio, Dora Elia Sanchez of Amarillo and Esmeralda C. Rivas of Hereford; and six sons, Antonio Cantu, Manuel T. Cantu and Jesus T. Cantu, all of Hereford, Ramon T. Cantu of Panama, Joe Luis T. Cantu of San Diego and Ismael Cantu of Germany. Dale Cecil Hawkins SPEARMAN - Dale Cecil Hawkins, 68, died Monday, May 26, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.(MDT) Wednesday in Hassell Cemetery at Hassell, N.M., with the Rev. Sherman Martin, pastor of First Baptist Church of House, N.M., officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mr. Hawkins was born in House. He was raised and attended school at House and was a member of the 1947 New Mexico State Basketball Championship team. He graduated from House High School in 1948. He married Alice Louise Coffey in 1950. Mr. Hawkins was involved in ranching in the House area. He moved to Spearman in 1960. He was an avid roper and was instrumental in the formation of the Tri-State High School Rodeo Association. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Dale Hawkins of League City, Roy Lee Hawkins of Guymon and Monty Kyle Hawkins of Pampa; a brother, Charles Hawkins of Chama, N.M.; and six grandchildren.
