Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of Christ with D.C. Brown, minister, and Art Lynch, minister of First Street Church of Christ in Dumas, officiating. Mrs. Sheets was born in Bell County and raised in Coleman. She graduated from Mozelle High School and attended Draughon's Business School in Dallas. She moved to Dalhart in 1944 to work for the air base during World War II. She later worked for the Tatum attorney's office. She married Eulan Sheets in 1944. Mrs. Sheets was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the Draper Community Home Demonstration Club and the Texline Church of Christ. She was named the Dallam County Woman of the Year and was the water board secretary for the first water district in Texas for more than 20 years. Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Sheets of Guymon, Okla., and Len Sheets of Dumas; two sisters, Mae Gilliland of Fort Worth and Dorris Treadwell of Texline; five grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters. Davis, 73, of Russellville, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Hart Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Coffman, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Pampa, and the Rev. Jeff Coffman, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe, officiating. Arrangements are by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Olton. Mrs. Davis was born in Marietta, Okla. She was a resident of Littlefield for 10 years before moving to Russellville, Ark., in 1996. She married Robert D. Davis in 1941 at Plainview. He died in 1996. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Russellville. Survivors include a son, Gary Davis of Russellville; a daughter, Carolyn Coffman of Pampa; two sisters, Bertie Godfrey of Hart and Ella Higdon of Dimmitt; a brother, Tex Conard of Dimmitt; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Jason Daniel Owens QUAIL - Jason Daniel Owens, 24, of Bedford, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, in Wellington. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Quail Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry White, pastor, and the Rev. Bruce Howard, pastor of the Hedley Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Quail Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mr. Owens was born in Wichita, Kan. He was active in sports programs and graduated from Ranger High School in 1991. He attended Howard Payne University and Ranger College. At the time of his death, he was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a peanut grader in Memphis. He also was co-owner of Blue House Food Co. in Bedford. Mr. Owens married Christy Jett in 1995 at Quail. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of Bedford; a son, Colt Owens of Bedford; his parents, Bill and Pattie Owens of Bedford; two brothers, Justin Owens and Jared Owens, both of Bedford; and grandmother, Emma Mickley of Wichita. Survivors include a niece, Rita Morgan of Arlington. Marvin Lee Kelley Sr. PERRYTON - Marvin Lee Kelley Sr., 59, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Westside Church of Christ with Elmer C. Delozier officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Kelley was born in Arlington. He had lived in Perryton since 1973, moving from Arlington. He married Maria Grimes in 1963 at Arlington. Mr. Kelley worked for the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the U.S. Postal Service, General Motors and B.J. Hughes and Dresser Titan. He also was self-employed. He and his wife drove a truck across the country. He was a Navy veteran, a Golden Gloves boxer, a Pee Wee football coach, a Little League coach and a YMCA football coach. He also helped with Toys for Tots and Kids, Inc. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Arlington for 11 years and the Church of Christ in Perryton for 24 years. Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Kelley of Tucson, Ariz., Marvin Kelley Jr. of Perryton and Mitchell Kelley of Lawrence, Kan.; two daughters, Diana Buckner of Tucumcari, N.M., and Melanie Kelly of Arlington; a brother, Milton Kelley of Mount Pleasant; and nine grandchildren. He married Jean Trower in 1946 at Farwell, Texas. He was the manager of Skaggs grocery store in Arlington before retiring in 1993 and moving to Ruidoso. She married Norman Lloyd Andress in 1977 at Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kim Carey of Bedford; a son, Todd Andress of Lubbock; her mother, Golda Jones of Wellington; a sister, Gaylon Layton of Arlington; two brothers, James Howard Jones of Amarillo and Tim Allen Jones of Baytown; and three grandchildren. Joe Bowerman Joe "Cad'' Bowerman, 78, of Mission, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Amarillo with Dr. Charles Jones of Second Baptist Church of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, of Amarillo. Mr. Bowerman was born in Nocona. He worked for Texaco Refinery for 17 years. He and his wife, Evelyn Bowerman, owned and operated a motel in Breckenridge for several years. His wife died in 1988. Mr. Bowerman was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Dewayne Bowerman of Amarillo and Larry Bowerman of Mission; a daughter, Janet Loyless of Amarillo; a brother, O.L. "Breezy'' Cox, 71, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997. He was a cowboy and a rancher at many ranches around the Texas Panhandle. He married LaQuain Smith in 1950 at Clovis, N.M. Mr. Cox was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Monty Ray Cox and Curtis Dewayne Cox, both of Amarillo, and Floyd Cox of Weatherford; a daughter, LaJunta Armstrong of Amarillo; two sisters, Sidney Biggs of Santo and Dorothy Light of Mineral Wells; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She worked for the Amarillo Independent School District and for Panhandle Laundry. She also worked in construction. She was a Protestant. She was a member of Forest Hill Assembly of God. She was the assistant Sunday school superintendent and the social director at the church. She married Ralph Foster Jr. in 1946. He died in 1986. She had lived in Littlefield since 1977, moving from Bula, where she lived for about 40 years. She married John F. Blackman in 1928 at Clarendon. He died in 1981. She graduated from high school in Perryton, Texas. She married Harold Charles Gift in 1932 at Liberal, Kan. He died in 1948. Mrs. Gift was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ for 51 years. Survivors include a son, Donald Gift of Beaver; a daughter, Rose Lee Strader of Humble, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
