Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home Ivey Chapel in Dimmitt with the Rev. Gerald Aalbers, pastor of First Baptist Church in Hart, and the Rev. Kelly Inman, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Hart, officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery. Mr. Pevehouse was born in Cameron and graduated from high school in Cameron in 1953. He lived in Dimmitt before moving to Hart in 1985. He married Frankie Pevehouse in 1961 at Dimmitt. Mr. Pevehouse was a self-employed carpenter for 15 years. He served in the Army from 1955 to 1958. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Pevehouse of Pryor, Okla., and Danny Pevehouse of Amarillo; two daughters, Cheryl Henderson of Junction and Ronda Cooksey of Locust Grove, Okla.; five brothers, Jesse Pevehouse of Caldwell, Virgil Pevehouse and John Pevehouse Jr, both of Cameron, Charles Pevehouse of Rockdale and Thomas Pevehouse of Taylor; three sisters, Mildred Yates of Maysfield, Ruth Mosley of Mabank and Alma Patzke of Lake Jackson; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Claude Moore DUMAS - Claude Moore, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Dumas Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Woody, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Moore was born in Ravia, Okla., and had been a Dumas resident since 1953. He was employed at American Zinc Co. until the plant closed. He retired from Monfort in 1993. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Moore married Mattie Bell Stephens in 1953 at Mangum, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Letha Ehret of Fritch; a sister, Juanita Davis of Walston, Okla.; and two grandchildren. The family will be at 204 Oak. Thomas E. Patterson PAMPA - Thomas E. Patterson, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Delbert White, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Patterson was born in Clarita, Okla. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. He worked for the city of Pampa water department for 32 years before retiring in 1982. He married Lucille Gingrich in 1948 at Canadian. Mr. Patterson was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale Patterson of Pampa; a daughter, Sharon Greene of Pampa; two brothers, John K. Foster of Tulsa, Okla., and Pete Foster of Bromide, Okla.; two sisters, Lavita of Washington and Violet of Eugene, Ore.; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 336 Jean. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Mrs. Leake was born in Bokchito, Okla., and had been a longtime Fritcharea resident. She was a cattle rancher and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Lloyd Wilson, in 1967; and her second husband, Edwin Leake, in 1989. Survivors include a son, Harold Wilson of Borger; three daughters, Janie Nicholes of Borger, Mary Morrison of Fritch and Judy McDonald of Stinnett; three sisters, Clarena Spear and LaVonne Littell, both of Amarillo, and Joy Cummings of Raton, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. J.W. Brannon DALHART - J.W. Brannon, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Hass Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everett Statler, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Silverton Cemetery at Silverton. Mr. Brannon was born in Munday. He was raised in Silverton and graduated from Silverton High School in 1942. He graduated from West Texas State University and coached and taught school at Silverton, Meadow, Panhandle and Dumas. He coached a regional championship team in 1944. He married Evelyn Coffee in 1946 at Silverton. Mr. Brannon was a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas. He was a member and 32nd Degree Mason with the Silverton Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the Khiva Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife; a son, Truett Brannon of Dalhart; two brothers, Fred Brannon and Seymour Brannon, both of Silverton; a sister, Opal McClure of Silverton; and two grandsons. Bonnie Lilah Slagle PANHANDLE - Bonnie Lilah Slagle, 75, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church of Panhandle with Doug Harvey and Gary Woods, pastors, officiating. Private graveside services will be in Panhandle Cemetery before the services. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., in Amarillo. Mrs. Slagle was born in Prescott, Ariz., and had lived in Panhandle most of her life. She graduated from Panhandle High School. She was a member of First Christian Church of Panhandle. She married Belmont Slagle in 1940. He died in 1994. Survivors include a son, David L. Slagle of De Soto; a brother, Colin Tucker of Higgins; a sister, Paula Fraser of Boulder Creek, Calif.; a grandchild; and a greatgrandchild. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. The body will be available for viewing after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Jesse Ramos Jesse Ramos, 34, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Colwell officiating. Cremation will be by Memory Gardens Crematory. Arrangements are by BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Ramos was born in Plainview and moved to Amarillo in 1979. He attended school in Plainview. He was a student at West Texas A&M University, majoring in accounting. He worked as a pipe fitter in the oil production and refining industry. He was a Catholic. He married Melonie Archer in 1984 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Jennifer Ramos, Monica Ramos, Amanda Ramos, Adrianna Ramos and Analisa Ramos, all of the home; his mother, Juana Gonzales of Plainview; four sisters, Maria Sanchez of Fort Worth, Estella Gomez and Lupe Ramos, both of Orange County, Calif., and Andrea Gonzales of Plainview; seven brothers, Joe Ramos of Lubbock, Gabriel Ramos, Angel Ramos, Tony Ramos, Mike Ramos and Tino Ramos, all of Amarillo, and Ray Ramos of Plainview. Anastacio Rubalcaba Anastacio "Ernie'' Rubalcaba, 84, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, by Hector Gallegos, deacon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John's Catholic Church in Hart by the Rev. John Heken of the church. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery at Hart. Mr. Rubalcaba was born in Goliad. He lived in Hart from 1952 to 1989, when he moved to Amarillo. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hart. He was instrumental in starting St. John's, the first Catholic church to be built in Hart. Survivors include two sons, Pancho Rubalcaba of Amarillo and Joe Rubalcaba of Fritch; a daughter, Teresa Rubalcaba of Amarillo; a brother, Guadalupe Rubalcaba of La Puente, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. New Mexico Flossie Pearl Gentry CLOVIS, N.M. - Flossie Pearl Gentry, 72, of Damascus, Md., a former longtime Clovis resident, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, in Rockville, Md. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in The Chapel with Doug Brooks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Gentry was born in Clovis. She lived in Clovis until 1993, when she moved to Maryland. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include five sons, Lewis A. Carter of Baltimore, Jimmy Dale Carter of Fort Worth, Texas, Bruce Wayne Carter of Damascus, Eddie Willis Taylor of Clovis and Gary Lyn Taylor of Estancia; three brothers, Raymond Thomas of Clovis, Dave Thomas of San Diego and Rex Thomas of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Lois Graham of Clovis, Nola May Belew of Alamogordo and Eulla Ellis of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Elsewhere George C. Price Sr. LEVELLAND - George C. Price Sr., 77, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kerry Hurst, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the city of Levelland Cemetery by George C. Price Funeral Directors. Mr. Price was born in Navarro County. He moved with his family from Navarro County to Tahoka in 1924. He graduated from the Tahoka schools and from the Dallas School of Embalming. He entered the Army in 1942 and was released from the service in 1945, after three years of service with the 114th Infantry Regiment of the 44th Infantry Division. Mr. Price had been a resident of Levelland since 1946. He managed Plains Funeral Home in Levelland from 1946 to 1949. He had operated George C. Price Funeral Directors in Levelland since 1949. He was a member of the Levellandarea Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member and a past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Levelland. He also served one year on the state committee of the Texas Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Price had been the county chairman of the American Red Cross since 1958. He was the Democratic chairman of Precinct No. 21 in Hockley County for 24 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served on the church board for three two-year terms. He served as director of the Texas Funeral Directors Association for two twoyear terms. He was a past president of the Panhandle Funeral Directors Association and served as director of the board of three years. Mr. Price was a member of American Legion Post No. 417 and at the time of his death was serving as an adjutant for the post. He also was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4506. He was a member and treasurer of Levelland Masonic Lodge No. 1236 AF&AM. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 797. He was a member of Lubbock Commandery No. 60, the York Rite College in Lubbock and the Lubbock Scottish Rite Bodies of Lubbock. He served on the Knights Commanders Court of Honor from 1963 to 1979. Mr. Price was a member of the Hockley-Cochran Counties Scottish Rite Club, the Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo and the South Plains Shrine Club of Lubbock. He was a past district chairman of the George White Boy Scout District and was serving on the South Plains Executive Committee for Boy Scouts at the time of his death. He was a member of the Levelland Oddfellows and a member and past president of the Levelland Rotary Club. He served on the Levelland Independent School District board from 1955 to 1973. Mr. Price married Ophelia "Butch'' Eudaly in 1943 at Tahoka. Survivors include his wife; a son, the Rev. George C. Price Jr. of Littlefield; a daughter, Gayle Robertson of Levelland; a brother, the Rev. James Price of Lubbock; a sister, Johnnie Margaret Rakestraw of Florence; and five grandchildren. College Ave., Levelland, Texas. Gladys Puckett Hutto LUBBOCK - Gladys Puckett Hutto, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. D.L. Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church, and the Rev. John Ballard, retired associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the city of Lubbock Cemetery. Mrs. Hutto was born in Fairlee, Hunt County. She moved with her parents to Spur in 1919 and attended Spur High School. She married Marion Hovell Hutto in 1922 at Spur. They lived in Spur, Lorenzo and Post before moving to Lubbock in 1943. Mr. Hutto died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Milton Hutto in 1950 and M.H. Hutto Jr. in 1983. Mrs. Hutto was manager of the children's wear department at a local retail store for 13 years before retiring in 1965. She was a 54-year member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, Brode Puckett of Spur; two sisters, Lala Pennington of Post and Lorene McCrary of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
