Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery at Tulsa, Okla., with Ken Warren, administrative pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Stockton was born in Morristown, Tenn., and moved to Ash Grove, Mo., in 1904. She graduated from Ash Grove High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women. She was a 50year member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa and also was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo. She married Calvin A. Stockton in 1924 at Oklahoma City. They moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she lived for 53 years. She moved to Amarillo in 1984. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and by an infant son, James Bradford Stockton. Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Aikman of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. They will be at 3200 Hawthorne. Carl Marvin Mann Carl Marvin Mann, 79, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in the Erick Cemetery at Erick, Okla. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Mann was born in Paris, Texas, and had lived in Amarillo since 1945. He was a mechanic and retired from ASARCO and the Amarillo State Center. He was a member, deacon and a Sunday school teacher at Second Baptist Church. He married Rosa Louise Malone in 1941 at Erick. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janice Pipkin of Sayre, Okla., Carole Faulkner of Amarillo and Marilyn Hellums of Round Rock; three brothers, Buford Mann of Erick and Vernon Mann and Ray Mann, both of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. After graduation, he entered the Air Force and served four years. After his discharge, he began working for Bell Helicopter where he worked about one year. He was employed by Channel 7 as an engineer for about four years. He then enrolled at Amarillo College and received an associate degree in physical therapy. He was a race car driver, driving at the Route 66 Speedway. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He married Karla Polvado in 1990 at Albuquerque, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeremy Arthur Nelson of Snyder; a daughter, Kymberly Michele-Lee Nelson of Snyder; parents, Arthur L. and Jimmie Nelson of Concordia, Mo.; two sisters, Kelly Leeann Walker of Guam and Charlotte Lee Lermon of Concordia; grandmother, Cordie Lee Jones of Amarillo; and greatgrandmother, Dora Krause of Sweet Springs, Mo. "Doc" Killingsworth, 90, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Eddy and Mack Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories. Mr. Killingsworth was born in Walnut Grove, Mo., and had lived in Clovis for 52 years. He retired from Santa Fe Railway after working 47 years in Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico. He was a member of First Assembly of God. He married Eva Rogers in 1972 at Clovis. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Lee Watson, and a daughter, Norma Stephens. Survivors include his wife; three stepchildren; 12 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Oklahoma Lona Mae Jones GUYMON, Okla. - Lona Mae Jones, 64, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Mrs. Jones was born in Alluwe, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Southern Baptist Church. She married Art Dawes in 1949 at Guymon. In 1988, she married Delbert Ray Jones at Clayton, N.M. They both preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Clifford Dawes of Irving; two daughters, Robin Rider of Guymon and Marilyn Jones of Toronto, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Noblin Straub BOISE CITY, Okla. - Noblin "Straubie" Straub, 84, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Wheeless Baptist Church with Harold James officiating. Burial will be in Wheeless Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary in Boise City. Mr. Straub was born in Mayfield, Ky., and moved to Claude, Texas, when he was 12. With his family, he moved to Des Moines, N.M., in 1929, then moved to Middlewell, Texas, in 1931 before settling near Dalhart, Texas. Mr. Straub worked as a cowboy for different ranches including the Bivins Ranch and Cotton and Joe McDade. In 1942, he moved to Wheeless where he ranched and farmed for 56 years. He was a member of the Wheeless Baptist Church. He married Irma June Horton in 1935 at Las Vegas, N.M. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Zeta May Berry of Texhoma, Lenell June Dalrymple of Trenton, Mo., and Sylvia Hall of Boise City; a sister, Luva Nell Boulware of Kingsland, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Fite, 87, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Fite was born in Alexandria, Tenn. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1929 and attended West Texas State Teachers College. He worked for M-System Grocery, Standard Food Market and managed McCartt's Supermarket in 1940 at Borger. From 1943 until 1954, he was part owner of Ostrom-Fite Grocery in Phillips. In 1954, he returned to Pampa, where he opened Fite Food Market, retiring in 1981 after 281/2 years in the grocery business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a 55-year charter member of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge 1381, the Khiva Temple of the Shrine and the Scottish Rite Consistory. Mr. Fite was a former member of the Kiwanis Club. He helped organize Affiliated Foods and was on the board of directors for six years. He married Loraine Noel in 1934 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Brown of Oklahoma City; a son, John Noel Fite of San Diego; two brothers, Dr. Lynn Fite of Bonham and Marvin Fite of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle or a favorite charity. Charles O. Byler BORGER - Charles O. Byler, 80, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Byler was born in Erick, Okla., and had lived in Borger for 43 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired machinist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ucola Byler, in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, La Neta Harris of Borger; a sister, Oneta Quigley of Elkhart, Kan.; and a grandson. Muriel Langwell PAMPA - Muriel Langwell, 80, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Mrs. Langwell was born in Welty, Okla., and raised in Hemphill County. She married Johnnie Langwell in 1933 at Woodward, Okla. They moved to Perryton in 1948 where they owned and operated Ray's Cafe. Mrs. Langwell moved to Pampa in 1953 with her husband. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include four sons, J.B. Langwell of Littlefield, Eddie Langwell and Gary Don Langwell, both of Amarillo, and Lawrence Langwell of The Colony; two sisters, Louise Noel of Duncanville and Loretta Edwards of Houston; a brother, Clay Reames of Perryton; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. J.A. Hall SUNRAY - J.A. "Peete" Hall, 90, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrisons Funeral Directors. Mr. Hall was born in Gorman and had been a Sunray resident since the 1920s. He was a farmer and drilled the first irrigation well in Moore County. He was one of the first Moore County committeemen elected to the North Plains Water District where he served from 1956 until 1996. He was a member of Sunray Baptist Church. He married Mary Lorraine Crume in 1930 at Tierra Amarilla, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Jane Walker of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mary Bula Martindale Hiett SHAMROCK - Mary Bula Martindale Hiett, 95, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Norman Jones, pastor of Primitive Baptist Church in Snyder, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Dozier Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hiett was born in Sommerville County and moved to Shamrock in a covered wagon in 1919 with her family. She worked in the Shamrock community until her retirement at age 82. She had been a member of the Lone Mound Primitive Baptist Church since 1928. She married George "Jack" Hiett in 1920 at Dozier. Survivors include two sons, J.B. Hiett of Shamrock and Bill Hiett of Tulia; a daughter, Ruby Smith of Clovis, N.M.; two brothers, Buck Martindale of Dozier and Bart Martindale of Shamrock; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Gladys R. Mason PLAINVIEW - Gladys R. Mason, 88, of Paradise, Calif., and a native of Plainview, died Saturday, July 18, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Plainview Cemetery with Dell Kline, Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Plainview Chapter, officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Mason was born of Hale County pioneers and graduated from Plainview High School in 1927. She attended Southern Methodist University and Texas Tech University. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she was choir director and church organist. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star where she was Past Matron, Avihk Temple No. 70 Daughters of the Nile, American Guild of Organists, a local art guild and Hale County Historical Society. She married Otis Mason Sr., in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1995. Survivors include a son, Otis Mason Jr., of Paradise; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Anna Belle Lewis CHILDRESS - Anna Belle Lewis, 89, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Childress Cemetery with Tom Lewis and the Rev. Alan Egerton officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Lewis was born in De Queen, Ark. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher, in 1983. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. Mr. Delgado was born in Martindale where he attended school. He moved to Floydada in 1948. He was a farmer and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. He married Catalina Quiroz in 1934 at San Marcos. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jesus Delgado, in 1944, and Antonio Delgado, in 1967. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Juan Delgado Jr., of Crosell, Mich., Mata Delgado of Floydada, Juan Delgado III of Lubbock and Francisco Delgado of Plainview; five daughters, Nieves Hernandez, Manuela Mendoza, Benita Martinez, Lupita Mendoza and Bonnie Flores, all of Floydada; two sisters, Maria Murillo of Lubbock and Porfiria Duran of Floydada; 35 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Bill Estes WELLINGTON - Bill Estes, 52, died Thursday, July 30, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in South Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Martin officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Estes was born in McAllen. He attended school and was a longtime resident of Wellington. He was employed as an auto mechanic and was formerly a farmer. He married Louise Glover in 1962 at Quail. Survivors include his wife; a son, William Estes of Wellington; a half-brother, Eddie Joe Estes of Borger; a half-sister, Kathy Himbree of McLean; an adopted brother, Richard Prescott of Cedar Park; his stepmother, Carolyn Estes of Pampa; and a grandson. Verona Keller Walker Cole CANADIAN - Verona Keller Walker Cole, 93, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church in Canadian with the Rev. Gary Jahnel, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie, and the Rev. Bob Meller, pastor of Gem Baptist Church of Gem community, officiating. Burial will be in Eller Flat/Prairie Dell Cemetery, Gem community, Hemphill County, by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cole was born and raised in Durham, Okla., where she attended school. She attended nursing school at Oklahoma A&M. She assisted the teacher and prepared meals at the Blue Ridge School, a one-room school in the Gem community. Mrs. Cole was a Methodist and attended the Gem Community Church. She was a member of the Tri-C Home Demonstration Club in Hemphill County. With her first husband, she farmed in the Durham community. She moved to the Gem community with her second husband. She married Feo Doyle Walker in Cheyenne, Okla. He died in 1940. Her second marriage was in 1942 to Lloyd Cole, who died in 1992. Survivors include four children, Glen William Walker of Canadian, Zelda Mae Pendergrass of Amarillo, Ronald Wayne Cole of Dallas, and Joanne Easdon of Groveland, Ill.; three sisters, Winnie Estes of Canadian, Ruby Montgomery of Colusa, Calif., and Jean Baker of Beaver, Okla.; six grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. Eugene "Gene" Stock, 67, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Lewis Holland, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Stock was born in Toronto, Kan., and graduated from Texhoma High School in Texhoma, Okla. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. In 1965, he moved to Canadian from Lamar, Colo. In 1970, Mr. Stock opened Gene's Auto Repair, which later became Canadian Tire Center. He retired in 1995. He coached Little League baseball and was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board, was in the Hustler Sunday School Class and cooked at Men's Breakfast. He married Judy Yarnold in 1962 at Canadian. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bradley Stock of Paris and Christopher Stock of Austin; a daughter, Trisha Butler of Austin; two brothers, Paul Stock of Cushing and Bill Stock of Birmingham, Ala.; and a sister, Dorothy Griffey of Carthage, Mo. Frances Alberta Moynihan MIAMI - Frances Alberta Moynihan, 79, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, in Pampa. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Miami with the Rev. Wes Wellborn, pastor, and the Rev. Dale Dunn, pastor of Lamont Street Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery by StickleyHill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mrs. Moynihan was born in Garden City, Mo., where she graduated from high school. She lived in Casper, Wyo., where she was a housekeeper for Catholic sisters. In 1977, she moved to Miami from Casper. She was self-employed as a seamstress and did alterations for a dry cleaners. After moving to Miami, Mrs. Moynihan was the owner and operator of H&M Cafe. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Miami and the TEL Sunday School Class. She married Henry William Moynihan who preceded her in death in 1968. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Huff of Miami; a son, Henry Moynihan of Miami; five grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
