Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Inc., Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Windell Taylor, chaplain of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military rites by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 26. Mr. Andrews was born in McDonough County, Ill. He had been an Amarillo resident for the past 23 years. He was an Army veteran, serving in Europe during World War II. Mr. Andrews was a farmer in Illinois from 1946 until 1958. He then was employed by Mason and Hanger, Silas-Mason at I.A.A.P. in Burlington, Iowa, from 1958 until 1974. He then transferred to the Pantex plant from which he retired in 1986. He married Pauline Nathalia Cook in 1942 at Kahoka, Mo. He was preceded in death by a grandson. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol Denise Siens of Carlisle, Iowa, and Kelly Diane Selby of Amarillo; two sons, Thomas Eugene Andrews of Milton, Fla., and Tony Edward Andrews of Amarillo; a sister, Louise Pearson of Oroville, Calif.; two brothers, J. Orval Andrews and John J. Andrews, both of Burlington, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 3613 Julie Dr. Juan T. Ynojosa Juan T. Ynojosa, 73, of Boys Ranch, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Christian Life Center with Alvino Alvarez, co-pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mr. Ynojosa was born in Kerrville. He retired in 1988 from Amarillo Gear as a machinist. He married Maria Urias in 1942 at Anson. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994 and a daughter, Gloria Rodriquez, in 1996. Survivors include three sons, Pete Ynojosa and Joe Ynojosa, both of Amarillo, and Manuel Ynojosa of San Angelo; two daughters, Margie Camarillo of Amarillo and Angie Ynojosa of Boys Ranch; a brother, Tilo Ynojosa of San Angelo; a sister, Mary Jiminez of San Angelo; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Ann Derrick Ann Derrick, 80, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Polk Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Derrick was born in Paradise. She received a bachelor of science degree in home economics from Texas Tech University and a master of education degree from West Texas State University. She was a retired supervisor of the Home Economics programs for the Amarillo Independent School District. Mrs. Derrick served on the state and national project for developing standards in vocational home economics. She served on the national panel of Consumer Arbitrators for the Council of Better Business Bureaus and American Red Cross. She was listed in Personalities of the South as one of the Most Prominent Educators of Texas and in Who's Who in Texas School Districts. Mrs. Derrick received the Distinguished Service and Leadership Award for Future Homemakers of America and the Outstanding Service Award from the Organization of Independent Living Classes in home economics for Goodwill Industries. She was recipient of the R.A. Selby Lifetime Service for Youth Award. Mrs. Derrick was a member of Alpha Chi, Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and active in its Sunday School programs. Survivors include her husband, Floyd A. Derrick; a son, Navy Capt. Jerry F. Derrick of Manassas, Va.; and two grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at their residence today. Hal Hadley LeFevre Hal Hadley LeFevre, 92, died Sunday, March 1, 1998. The family plans private services. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. LeFevre was born in Halfway, Ore. He lived most of his life in Portland where he was a printer for the Oregonian newspaper. He had been a resident of Amarillo for the past 12 years. He and his wife, LaDona A., were married in 1926 at Boise, Idaho. She preceded him in death in February. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Kohler and Babette Bovee, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Dorothy Hodges of Portland, Ore., and Jeanne Hardy of Tigard, Ore.; seven grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Beatrice Beard Quackenbush Beatrice Beard Quackenbush, 61, died Sunday, March 1, 1998. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Mary's Catholic Church by the Rev. Bill Brashears and Monsignor Francis A. Smyer. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Quackenbush was born in Edna and had lived in Amarillo for 25 years. She was a private investor. She was a former president of Amarillo Imports. Mrs. Quackenbush was a former board member of United Way and the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. She was a member of the Amarillo Symphony Guild, the League of United Latin American Citizens, the Coastal Bend Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation, the Amarillo Country Club and the Amarillo Club. She supported the Amarillo Symphony, the Amarillo Opera, the Amarillo Arts Force and the Republican Party. She married Bryce V. Beard in 1971. He died in 1991. In 1994, she married Bill Quackenbush. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Howard Beard of Dallas and Billy Jack McLaughlin of Fort Worth; two daughters, Judy Beard Nichols of Amarillo and Pamela Beard McClain of San Francisco; a stepson, Jack Quackenbush of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Louise Wisian of Amarillo; five sisters, Olivia Wilmot of Corpus Christi, Sefernia Constante of El Monte, Calif., Velma Murray of LaMarque, MacLovia Jimenez of Edna and Agnes Valenciano of Laredo; a brother, Clem Nava of Edna; seven grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield. Mr. Bench was born in Red Springs and had lived in Amherst since 1924. He had been employed as an auto mechanic and had served with the Amherst Volunteer Fire Department for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. He married his first wife, Reba Hartman, in 1938 at Clovis, N.M. She died in 1967. In 1970, he married Ila Lee Kennedy who died in 1972. He married Alma Goodin in 1976. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dale Bench and Dan Bench, both of Fort Worth; a daughter, Carol Enloe of Littlefield; two sisters, Ollie Onstead of Littlefield and Vera Richards of Plainview; and four granddaughters. Area Golda Mae LaRue DUMAS - Golda Mae LaRue, 87, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, with Jerry Hopkins of Paramount Terrace Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. LaRue was born in Spavinaw, Okla. She and her husband owned the LaRue Grocery in Amarillo for 14 years. She was a member of the Amarillo Garden Club and past president of the South Amarillo Garden Club. She married Leo LaRue in 1929 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1985. Survivors include a son and daughterin-law, Darrell and Lynelle LaRue of Leslie, Ark.; two grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. The family will be at 804 Shamrock Dr. in Dumas. Celia E. Ortega HEREFORD - Celia E. Ortega, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ortega moved to Hereford from Portales, N.M., more than 30 years ago. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Silva of Hereford; and a granddaughter, Fidencia Silva of Hereford. Vaudrey Lee Ray BORGER - Vaudrey Lee Ray, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. He moved to Borger in 1947. He served with the Navy in World War II. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum as a stillman for 38 years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He married Muriel Argo in 1951 at Hollis, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Ray and Jerry Ray, both of Borger; three daughters, Elizabeth Hunsacker of Rising Star, Janice McCollum of Bartlesville, Okla., and Terrye Dowden of Sycamore, Ill.; six grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Jim E. Riley FRITCH - Jim E. Riley, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with John P. Jones of Wichita Fall officiating. Burial will be in Vesperland Garden at Highland Park Cemetery. Mr. Riley was a native of Wichita Falls. He was a World War II veteran of the Army. He was an independent pumper and a minister at Borger Missionary Baptist Church. He married Dollie Friend in 1937 at Graham. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy Riley of Fritch and Eddie Riley of Los Angeles; a daughter, Shirley P. Creacy of Fritch; a sister, Pearl Merrick of Upperlake, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3034 Santa Fe Trail in Fritch. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Borger. Donald E. Rogers TULIA - Donald E. Rogers, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Central Church of Christ with Trey Morgan, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mr. Rogers was born in Hatfield, Ark. He attended schools in Hatfield and Mena, Ark. He had lived in California, Colorado and Nebraska before moving to Tulia in 1983. He was self-employed in retail services in the Tulia area. He owned the first video store in Tulia in 1984. He married Joyce VanSickle in 1974 in Ordway, Colo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dana Tate of Hot Springs, Ark., and Kati Rogers of Tulia; three sons, Donald L. Rogers of Colorado Springs, Colo., David E. Rogers of Tulia and Shane C. Rogers of Loveland, Colo.; a brother, Phillip "Bud" Rogers of Waldron, Ark.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Addie Moyer MULESHOE - Addie Moyer, 94, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Reeves, pastor First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Mrs. Moyer was born in Arkansas City, Mo. She moved to Friona from Canadian in the late 1940s then moved to Muleshoe in 1989. She taught school in the Pleasant Valley School and Cedar Hill School in Hemphill County. Mrs. Moyer was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had held all offices in the Friona's Woman's Club. She married Lindsay Johnson in 1926 in Kansas City, Mo. She married Joe Moyer in 1935 at Wheeler. He died in 1982. Survivors include a son, L.T. Johnson of Muleshoe; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Girls Town or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Boys Ranch, Texas, 79010. Foy Roy Perkins WHEELER - Foy Roy Perkins, 81, died Sunday, March 1, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Christ with Bill Morrison, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Perkins was born in Hollis, Okla. He was a rancher and owned a farm supply store in Gruver for several years. He moved to Wheeler in 1988. He was active with the Senior Citizens and a member of the Church of Christ. He married Annie "Dee" Roberts in 1935 in Hollis. She died in February, 1995. He married Joyce Ford in October, 1995 at Wheeler. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bertha "Lucy" Berry of Seminole; a son, Wayne "Butch" Perkins of Odessa; two sisters, Opal Dee Kiapianen of Grand Junction, Colo., and Jane Harkrider of Dumas; a brother, Lloyd Perkins of Hollis; four stepdaughters; two stepsons; four grandsons; 12 step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
