Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Tim Walker, minister, and Larry Brown, family life minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Ward was born in Ardmore, Okla., and had been a resident of Pampa since 1971. For many years he worked for Baker Oil Tool Co., retiring in 1997. He was employed by Well Tech. He was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. He married Goldie Farris in 1957 at Canute, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bobby Ward of Woodward, Okla., and Billy Ward of San Antonio; his mother, Mary Ward of Elk City, Okla.; three brothers, Charles Ward of Iowa Park, Chester Ward of Ralston, Okla., and G.W. Courtney Elizabeth Haseloff FARWELL - Courtney Elizabeth Haseloff, infant daughter of Gary and Lori Haseloff of Lariat, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. John Lutheran Church in Lariat with the Rev. Dick Greenthaner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Homes of Muleshoe. Miss Haseloff was born July 30 in Lubbock. Survivors include her parents; her grandparents, Adolph Haseloff of Farwell, Dewayne and Charlene Stiles of Fritch and Joan and and Frank Walton Jr. of Boise City, Okla.; and her great-grandparents, Laverne Tarpley of Fort Worth and Frank and Clyta Walton of Boise City. Roger Lee Clark SUNRAY - Roger Lee Clark, 62, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor of Sunray Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside rites will be by Dumas Masonic Lodge No. 1009. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Clark was born in Paducah and previously lived in Dumas. He had been a Sunray resident for 32 years and was owner and operator of Bobcat Barber Shop. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dumas and the Masonic Lodge No. 1009 of Dumas. He married Maxie Tidwell in 1954 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tony Clark of Amarillo and Curtis Clark of Guymon, Okla.; a daughter, Karen Stephany of Altoona, Fla.; his father, Charlie "Red" Clark of Dumas; a sister, Billie Greer of Dumas; and six grandchildren. The family will be at 917 Highway Avenue in Sunray. Amarillo LaDell White LaDell White, 67, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. White was born in Tell and was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. For 28 years, she was the general manager of Ruth's Steak House. She was later employed by the Royal Inn. She attended the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. White, in 1978, and by a son, Dickie Lynn White, in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Pam Harmon of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; her twin sister, LaDean Rayburn of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren. Dale Turner Dale Turner, 80, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Rick Mathis, pastor of West Amarillo Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Turner was born in Canyon and was an Army veteran of World War II. Before becoming a manager for Safeway, he was employed by Furr's Supermarkets and McCartt's Grocery Stores. He retired from Safeway, then sold appliances for Area Appliance, M.L. Evans and Bishop's Appliances. Mr. Turner was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge No. 1239. He served as an elder and deacon at West Amarillo Christian Church where he was a member. He married Rowena Gray in 1948 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Betty Dale Merts of Santa Fe, N.M.; a stepson, Roy Roberts; a brother, Glenn Turner of Orland, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Stump of Gentry, Ark., and Edna Rollins of Ashland, N.H.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Delmar H. Short Delmar H. "Bud" Short, 84, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Windell Taylor, chaplain of Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Short was born in Stigler, Okla., and had lived most of his life in Amarillo. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed by Lane's Ice Cream before working for the Amarillo Independent School District as a custodian. Mr. Short retired in 1975. He was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. He married Elvina Furrow in 1973 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Betty Ann Boyd of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Linda Hoskinson and Charlotte Windham, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Margaret Rankin of Farmington, N.M., and Helen Sharp of Sherman; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Jack Reese Jack Reese, 44, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Reese was born in Amarillo and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Cal Farley's Boys Ranch High School. He was employed as a drywall finisher. Mr. Harvey was born in Montague County, Texas, and had lived in Clovis about 60 years. He had farmed in Texas and New Mexico for many years. He was a Methodist. He married Myrtle Cain in 1938 at Clovis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Diane Harvey. Survivors include his wife; seven sons, W.E. "Dub" Harvey Jr., Drue Harvey, Joe Harvey, Perry Harvey, and Gary Harvey, all of Clovis, Glendon Harvey of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Ricky Harvey of Alamogordo; a daughter, Cheryl Cates of Clovis; two brothers, Lloyd Harvey of Pampa, Texas and E.D. Harvey Jr. of Clovis; 23 grandchildren; and 17 greatgrandchildren. Flora Nunez CLOVIS, N.M. - Flora Nunez, 64, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe by the Rev. Tobin Hitt. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Nunez was born in Santa Rosa. She was a homemaker. She had been married to Reynaldo L. Nunez for 32 years. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Eunice of Clovis, Sandra of Vienna, S.D., and Laura of Long Beach, Calif.; three sons, Rey Jr. of Summerville, Mass., Alejo of Elmirage, Ariz., and Jerry of Clovis; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will be the First Church of God, 3719 E. 21st St., after services. John W. Harpold Sr. CLOVIS, N.M. - John W. Harpold Sr., 81, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in 16th and Pile Church of Christ with Willie Tolison officiating. Burial will be in Texico Cemetery by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Harpold was born on his parents' homestead in Fairfield community where he attended elementary school. He graduated from Texico High School. He retired as a conductor for the AT&SF Railroad. Mr. Harpold farmed south of Clovis. He was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ. He married Jessie M. Smith in 1956 at Aztec. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jerry Helm of Sedan, Kan., and Dodie Crawford of Clovis; three sons, John William Harpold Jr., Frank Jeffrey Harpold and Michael Joseph Harpold, all of Clovis; 10 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Plains Regional Medical Center Hospice or the Children's Home in Portales. The casket will be closed for services.
