Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Ms. White was born in Pampa and had lived in Amarillo most of her life. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1955. She worked for Santa Fe Railway as an accountant from 1955 until retiring in 1993. Survivors include a brother, Jerry White of Ponca City, Okla. The body will be available for viewing this morning until service time. Robert William Miller Robert William Miller, 96, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church Chapel with the Rev. Rebecca Dwight Frank, pastoral care minister of First United Methodist Church at Colorado Springs, Colo., and the Rev. Gary E. Mueller, senior pastor of First United Methodist Church at Denton, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Miller was born in St. Mary's, Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He moved to Amarillo in 1927 with Canadian River Gas Co., which later became Colorado Interstate Gas Co. He retired from that company in 1953 as general superintendent. In 1958, Mr. Miller joined the Helium Division of the Bureau of Mines, supervising the drilling of numerous helium wells in the Texas Panhandle. He retired at the age of 72. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He married Rebecca Boyce Ware in 1928. She died in 1953. He was preceded in death by another wife, Lillian Jones Repp, who died in 1958. He married Mary E. Warren in 1963. She died in 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Miller Rodgers of Metairie, La., and Ida Miller Dwight of Richardson; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Kenneth N. Whipple Kenneth N. Whipple, 82, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Lake Tanglewood Community Church with the Rev. Marvin James officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Whipple was born in Canadian. In 1932, he graduated from Amarillo High School, where he played football for Blair Cherry. He served during World War II as a pilot instructor. He founded the Hospitality House and owned and operated the stores on Washington Street, 16th Avenue and Olsen Boulevard for 50 years. He was a past president of the Texas Package Store Association. He flew his own plane to Calhoun, Ga., and transported fish to stock Lake Tanglewood. He purchased President Johnson's cabin cruiser after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Mr. Whipple was a member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. He married Mary Walker in 1937. She died in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Robin Priest of Amarillo; two sons, Richard Whipple of Amarillo and Robert Whipple of Dallas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Geraldine Zinn Geraldine Zinn, 81, of Amarillo, a former Mangum, Okla., resident, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998. She moved from Mangum to Lubbock. She later moved to Amarillo, where she was employed as a bookkeeper by Plains Creamery for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo. Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Aysla and Christa Martinez; two sons, Thomas Martinez Jr. and Paul Martinez; his mother, Aurelia Martinez; two brothers, Edward Martinez and Jerry Martinez; four sisters, Francis Johnson, Geneva Barrela, Madlyn Velarde and Mary Lewis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ray Wiese PETERSBURG - Ray Wiese, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sharon O'Quinn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Wiese was born and raised in Petersburg. He graduated from Petersburg High School and attended Texas Tech University at Lubbock, where he played basketball. He returned to Petersburg in 1930 to help on the family farm. He had been a member of Petersburg Lions Club for 56 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Khiva Shrine. He also worked with 4H members in Hale County for a number of years. Mr. Wiese was a member of First United Methodist Church in Petersburg, which his father helped found. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Men's Foundation. He married Ima Cannon in 1948 at Lovington, N.M. She died in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Bill Wiese of Petersburg and Ken Wiese of Lubbock; and two sisters, Maxine Blankenship and Ellen Wartes, both of Lubbock. Lola Marie Thompson SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Lola Marie Thompson, 76, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sisco Funeral Chapel with Dub DeLoach officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in Lipscomb County, Texas. She retired as a department store clerk. She was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. She also was a member of the NWMC hospital auxiliary, working in the gift shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Victor Thompson. Alta Lena Rodgers Line COMANCHE - Alta Lena Rodgers Line, 90, a former O'Donnell resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of O'Donnell. Burial will be in O'Donnell Cemetery by Hall & Sons Funeral Home in Comanche. Mrs. Line was born in Snyder. She married Harvey Hugh Line in 1929 at O'Donnell. He died in 1978. She was a school teacher for 32 years in the O'Donnell school system in Lynn County. She had been a resident of Comanche since 1990, moving from O'Donnell. Mrs. Line was a member of the O'Donnell Study Club and First Baptist Church of O'Donnell. She was a 69-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, Harrell H. Line of Amarillo and Rodger N. Line of Granbury; a daughter, LaMoyne Houser of Comanche; five grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; and a great-greatgrandson. Mr. Miller was a former Amarillo resident. He had lived in Hemphill for 12 years. He was an aircraft merchant for the Coastal Corporation. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Hemphill Post No. 10351 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Miller was a member of Hemphill First Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Ray Miller of Escondido, Calif., James Spencer Miller of Houston and Lynn Leon Miller of Gardnerville, Nev.; a brother, Kelton Miller of San Antonio; a sister, Alverna Cobb of Renner, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. New Mexico Fred Tyson GRANTS, N.M. - Fred Tyson, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Chapel with the Rev. Darla Fields officiating. Burial was in Portales Cemetery. Mr. Tyson was born in Hazelton, Pa., and raised in Pennsylvania. At the age of 16, he joined the Merchant Marines. In 1952, he joined the Army and served during the Korean War as a courier in Europe. While stationed abroad, he met Romana, who he married in 1954. They made their home in Pennsylvania. Mr. Tyson worked as a machinist in an aircraft plant in Pennsylvania. He then moved to Tucumcari, where he purchased rental property. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Grants. Mrs. Tyson died in 1974. In 1982, Mr. Tyson married Myrtrice Carter. She died in 1993. In 1996, he married Julia Smith. They moved to Grants in 1997. Survivors include his wife; a son, William R. Tyson of Gardena, Calif.; and a grandson. Truett V. Hudson LAS LUNAS, N.M. - Truett V. Hudson, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Chapel with the Rev. Steve Smith and the Rev. Jim Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Causey Cemetery at Causey. Mr. Hudson was born in Weatherford, Texas. He lived in Causey until 1939, when he moved with his family to Dexter. While living there, he drove a school bus for 23 years. He also was a general contractor. Mr. Hudson married Lola Mae Taylor in 1930 at Causey. After retiring in 1965, he and his wife moved to Colorado. In 1975, they returned to New Mexico and made their home in Las Lunas. After Mrs. Hudson's death in 1990, he moved back to Colorado. Mr. Hudson was a member of First Baptist Church of Ignacio, Colo. Survivors include a son, Jim Hudson of Ignacio; a sister, Joyce Seefeld of Portales; two grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Alfred E. Seaton CLOVIS, N.M. - Alfred E. Seaton, 99, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998. Services will be at 9 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Rodger Russell officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Des Moines. Mr. Seaton was born in Chisum, Texas, and moved with his family to Des Moines at an early age. He married Leona F. Fields in 1918. In 1951, they moved to Amarillo, where they owned and operated the Pantex Grocery Store for many years. They moved to Clovis in 1972. Mr. Seaton was a Mason and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Seaton of Angel Fire; two daughters, Betty Russell of Aztec and Louise Germany of Portales; a sister, Ethel Green of Raton; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Tice Elkins Hugg CLOVIS, N.M. - Tice Elkins Hugg, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Hugg was born in Strawberry, Ark. He married Barbara Opal in 1940 at Pampa, Texas. They farmed in the Lazbuddie area. After retiring, they moved to Clovis. They were active members of West 21st Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Hugg died in 1994. Survivors include a son, Clifford Hugg of Portales; a sister, Rose Hales of Amarillo; and a brother, Herman Hugg of Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She lived most of her life in Quay. For the past five years she had lived in Tucumcari. She married James E. Bradley in 1946 at El Paso, Texas. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sheri Bradley of Tucumcari; two sisters, LaVerne Moore of Tucumcari and Helen Conley of Como, Texas; three brothers, Archie Coursey and Hulen Coursey, both of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Lonnie Coursey of Saginaw, Texas; and two grandchildren. He graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1957 and graduated from Texas Christian University. He was a truck driver at the time of his death. She married Fidel Rocha in 1953. She was a nurse for Dr. Kengle, whose office was on the top floor of the corner drugstore before there was a hospital in Perryton. Mrs. Clennan was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was active in the Ochiltree County Chapter of the American Red Cross. She married George Clennan in 1935 at Guymon, Okla. He died in 1997. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Winifred McCartney. Survivors include a son, Michael Clennan of Perryton; a brother, Bill Bender of Tulare, Calif.; four sisters, Margaret Zwissler of Palm Springs, Calif., Lucy Foncannon of Emporia, Kan., Betty Baxter of Wichita, Kan., and Isabel Mann of St. Louis; and two grandsons. Mr. Cummings was born in Stratford and was a longtime Stratford resident. He had served on the Stratford city council and the Stratford school board. After retiring from farming in 1978, he moved to Amarillo, where he owned and operated Amarillo Coin and Bullion. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church in Amarillo and a longtime member of the Amarillo Coin Club. Mr. Cummings married Nola Garoutte in 1935 in Sherman County. Survivors include his wife; a son, Wayne Cummings of Stratford; two daughters, Jean Childs and Elaine MaGouirk, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She married Glenn Kidwell in 1938 at Stephenville. He died in 1994. She grew up in Hale Center and attended school there. She moved to Petersburg in the early 1970s. She married Juan Rocha in 1974 at Plainview. Mrs. Rocha worked at The Kettle restaurant. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Eva Rocha of Lubbock; six brothers, Pablo Calamateo of Hale Center, Tony Calamateo and Salvador Calamateo, both of Amarillo, and Danny Luna, Ruben Luna and Bobby Luna, all of Aurora, Ill.; three sisters, Linda Luna, Aurora Herrera and Nancy Luna, all of Aurora; and a grandchild. Inez Ott PLAINVIEW - Inez Ott, 90, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Springlake Cemetery at Springlake. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Ott was born in Reno County, Kan. Her family moved to Hereford in 1909. They later moved to Plainview, where she graduated from school and then attended Lippert's Business School. She served as county clerk in the 1930s. She worked for Hale County State Bank until retiring. Ms. Ott was a member of First United Methodist Church. She also worked extensively for the American Cancer Society. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
