Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mrs. Bailey was born in Stratford and had lived in McLean for the past 75 years. She worked for Greyhound Drug for many years. She was a Methodist. She married Bill Bailey. He died in 1971. Survivors include a son, Billy Jack Bailey of McLean; two daughters, Bettie Warren of McLean and Bonita Satterlee of Hamilton, Mont.; a sister, Eula Morrow of McLean; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to the American Diabetes Association. Jimmie Lee Berry SHAMROCK - Jimmie Lee Berry, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel at Shamrock with the Rev. Glen Stocker, pastor of Bible Believers Baptist, Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Kelton Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Berry was born in Benjamin and moved from Lubbock to Shamrock. She retired from JCPenney's in Lubbock. She married W.S. "Turk" Berry Jr. in 1960. He died in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Green of Kelton and Helen Long of Austin; three sisters, Irene Wiggins of Mexia, and Alice Allen and Ruby Simpkins, both of Plainview; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Paulina G. Trevino HEREFORD - Paulina G. Trevino, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Monsignor Orville Bloom officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery by the funeral home. Mrs. Trevino was born in Brackettville and attended schools both there and in Del Rio. She moved to Hereford in 1955. She worked as a nurse and as a field contractor for many years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She married Carlos Trevino in 1944. Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Lilia Ruiz, Odelia Salazar and Delia Arrovos, all of Hereford, Belia LaFuente of Oceana, Calif. and Ofelia Heller of Canyon; two sisters, Lolina Torres and Laticia Rodriquez, both of Hereford; 25 grandchildren; and 29 greatgrandchildren. Richard H. Roberts BORGER - Richard "Dick" H. Roberts, 76, died Friday, Jan 1, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colfax Cemetery at Van Zandt County by the funeral home. Mr. Roberts was born in Wichita Falls and had been a resident of Borger since 1960. He received a bachelor of arts from the University of Texas and did graduate work there. He was a veteran of the Army and served in World War II. He was a member of the Borger Rotary Club, of the Masonic Lodge and of First United Methodist Church. He retired from J.M. Huber in 1983. He married Alice Marie Clark in 1944. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard L. Roberts of Dallas; a daughter, Patricia A. Olson of Hope, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Ann Gray LAKEVIEW - Ann Gray, 56, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998. Services will be Sundayat Fairview Church in Golden Valley, N.C. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Gray was born in Shelby, N.C. and had lived in Lakeview for four years. She had been a teacher's aide and had lived in California for 20 years, where she worked for the engineering and recruiting department for North American Aviation in the Apollo Space Program in Downey, Calif. She was a member and director of Sylmar Women's Club in Sylmar, Calif. and of Sandy Run Baptist Church in Mooresboro, N.C. She married Larry Gray in 1961. Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Gray of Amarillo and Joshua E. Gray of Spartanburg, S.C.; a daughter, Melissa Gray of Sacramento, Calif.; and three brothers, William Coggins of Laurens, S.C., John Coggins of Sunnyview, N.C., and Harry Coggins of Shelby, N.C. Mabel Polly Kindle LEFORS - Mabel Polly Kindle, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Olympus Cemetery at Childress County with Howard Swinney, minister of Lefors Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Kindle was born in Childress County, where she lived for 32 years before moving to Lefors in 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of Lefors Church of Christ. She married Delmas Leon Kindle in 1932. He died in 1975. Survivors include two sons, Billy D. Kindle and Fred W. Kindle, both of Pampa; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo June Clifton June Clifton, 61, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by the funeral home. Mrs. Clifton was born in Borger and moved to Amarillo in 1960. She was a cook in the restaurant industry and a member of Church of Christ. She married C.W. Clifton in 1956. Survivors include her husband; a son, Terry Clifton of Amarillo; a daughter, Jalana Clifton of Amarillo; three brothers, Robert Burton of Canyon, Roy Burton of Farmington, N.M. and Richard Burton of Bonham; a sister, Joyce Derrick of Farmington; and her mother, Edith Burton of Farmington. Guy K. Dunlap Jr. Guy K. Dunlap Jr., 78, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Rd. with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will be by the funeral home. Mr. Dunlap was born in Sipe Springs and moved to Amarillo from Odessa 27 years ago. He worked as a welder in the oil fields for 20 years and served in World War II with the Army Air Corp. His wife, Annie E. McAdams, died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Dunlap of Amarillo; two daughters, Connie McCoy of Robstown and Cheryl Shanks of Midland; a sister, Ruth Howell of Kilgore; five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Esther A. Mendez Esther A. Mendez, 78, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Pat Hoffman, of Laurence Cathedral, officiating. Mrs. Mendez was born in Martindale and moved to Amarillo more than 30 years ago from San Marcos. She moved to San Marcos in 1989 and back to Amarillo in 1998. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in San Marcos. She married Elias Mendez in 1940. He died in 1983. Survivors include five daughters, Sylvia Alcala and Gloria Garcia, both of Amarillo, Esther Leija and Cynthia Velasquez, both of Martindale, and Bertha Brown of Lockhart; four sons, Freddy Mendez and Arthur Mendez, both of Amarillo, Robert Mendez of Martindale and Richard Mendez of San Marcos; 28 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Pearl Morris Pearl Morris, 93, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Borger with the Rev. Andy Deitz, pastor of First Baptist Church of Borger, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home of Amarillo. Mrs. Morris was born in Dallas County and moved with her family to Wheeler County. She lived in Amarillo for 32 years before moving to Borger in 1967. She moved back to Amarillo in 1997. She was a homemaker, a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo and a member of Borger United Methodist Church. She married Samuel Eugene Morris in 1924. He died in 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Melba Colleen Hamilton of Kerrville; a son, Richard Eugene Morris of Amarillo; a sister, Orville Greenhouse of Mobeetie; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Borger United Methodist Church. Dan C. Huckabee Dan C. Huckabee, 80, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Kingswood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Tamplen, pastor, and Dr. Norman Grigsby, associate pastor of Saint Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Private family graveside services will be in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Rankin Koch, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Colleyville, officiating. Military rites will be by D.A.V. Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Huckabee was born in Ireland, Texas. He attended Tarleton State University and graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in civil engineering. He served with the Army radio signal corps during World War II. He moved to Amarillo in 1962. He was a civil engineer for the Soil Conservation Service until his retirement, and a former member of the Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Huckabee was a post advisor for Boy Scouts of America Troop 80 Kwahdi Indian Dancers, a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church, Aldersgate Sunday school class, and Recycled Teenagers. Survivors include his wife, Lyndell Huckabee; a son, Mark Huckabee of Kirkwood, Mo.; a daughter, Dannette Robbins of Hamilton; a sister, Estelle Cronin of Three Rivers, Mich.; and three grandchildren. Stephen Jennings, pastor of Faith Community Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Gordon was born in Benton, Ark. and moved to Canyon in the early 1950s. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Gordon, and by her son, Billy A. Bradsher. Survivors include three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was manager of the Swimming Pool and Bath House at Kahneeta Resort. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Oklahoma Lane, Texas, of First United Methodist Church in Portland, Ore. and of the Ladies Elks Auxiliary in St. Helens, Ore. Survivors include two daughters, L. Joy Stewart of Scappoose and Doris Denmark of Milwaukie, Ore.; three sons, Phillip Berry of Scappoose, Ore., Jim Berry of Bend, Ore. and Richard Berry of Hood River, Ore.; her mother, Nora Billingsley of Canyon, Texas; three sisters, Margaret Ruthart of Canyon and JoVeta Darnell and Zell Cain, both of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
