Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born in St. Pauls, N.C., and moved to Amarillo in 1959. He retired as a cement plasterer in 1985. He was president of the Cement and Plaster Union in Amarillo. He married Joan B. Wainwright in 1962. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy Hayes and Rodney Hayes, both of Amarillo; his mother, Bessie Leigh Hayes of Wilson, N.C.; a brother, David Earl Hayes of Wilson; and four grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing today from 8 a.m. until service time. The family will be at 1034 Stuart. They request memorials be to a favorite charity. Kenneth Ramsey Kenneth "Buck" Ramsey, 59, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Ramsey was born in Lubbock. He attended schools in Middlewell and Amarillo, graduating from Amarillo High School. After serving in the Marine Corps, he attended West Texas State University. He was employed by Coldwater Cattle Co. and the daily newspapers in Amarillo before becoming a free-lance writer. He was best known as a cowboy poet and musician, performing at cowboy poetry gatherings around the country. He had been featured at many places including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Mr. Ramsey won many awards for his works including the Golden Spur from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and the National Cowboy Hall of Fame Western Heritage Wrangler Award for the Best Traditional Cowboy Song Album in 1992 and 1994. He was a 1995 National Endowments for the Arts fellow. In 1996, he received the Lifetime Achievement and Best Poetry Album awards by the Academy of Western Artists and the American Cowboy Culture Award for Western Music. First lady Hillary Clinton presented him with the National Heritage Master Artist Award in a White House ceremony. Mr. Ramsey married Bette Cave in 1962 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amanda Ramsey of Amarillo; his mother, Pearl Ramsey of Honey Grove; three sisters, Wanda Pirtle of Amarillo, and Ellen Watson and Sylvia Askew, both of Honey Grove; and a brother, Charles Ramsey of Dallas. She married Kenneth Wayne Hollabaugh in 1959 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a son, Lonnie D. Hollabaugh of Amarillo; a daughter, Vanessa G. Harber of Amarillo; her mother, Lillie C. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's Altar Society. She married Henry Koetting in 1927. He died in 1971. He worked in the insurance business for 48 years in Dallas, Midland, Lubbock and Amarillo. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Loretto Cook of Ennis; three sons, T. Mike Jones of Big Spring, Joe M. Jones of Amarillo and Robert F. Mann in 1928 at Sioux Falls. He died in 1981. She also was preceded in death by a son, Bill Mann, in 1947. Survivors include a son, Buzz Mann of New Braunfels, Texas; a daughter, Kay Stahlecker of Canyon; two brothers, Stuart Curl of Avon and Don Curl of Charles City, Iowa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He married Helen Lorene Armistead in 1939 at Pampa. She died in 1975. He married Wanda Bailey in August at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger L. Benson of Ada, Okla.; two daughters, Joyce Verdean Liles of Amarillo and Helen Delores Bostwick of Pittsburg, Kan.; a brother, Gordon Benson of Kennedale; two sisters, Marguerite Blakemore of Pampa and Imogene Reeves of Oklahoma City; two stepdaughters, Connia Thompson of Canadian and Donnia Leigh Walker of McLean; a stepson, Walter Ray Bailey of McLean; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She married Juan G. Trevino in 1936 at San Benito. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Jorge Zuniga of San Diego, Eutimio Trevino of McAllen, Rolando Trevino and Alfredo Trevino, both of Dimmitt, and Mike Trevino of El Paso; three daughters, Juanita Z. Hernandez of Odessa, Josefa T. Gauna of Shallowater and Maria T. Carrasco of Hart; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Steve Moseley QUANAH - Steve Moseley, 48, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Dea, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Moseley was born in Quanah and lived there all of his life. He graduated from Quanah High School and attended Clarendon Jr. College. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1971. He formerly owned Moseley Hardware. At the time of his death, he was employed as a truck driver for E.A. Holder Truck Co. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Mason, and the First Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Moseley; a daughter, Ashley Moseley of Quanah; a son, Andy Moseley of Quanah; two stepsons, Brian Haynes of Vernon and Mark Haynes of Iowa Park; two stepdaughters, Vicky Fisher of Iowa Park and Amy Haynes of Vernon; a sister, Suzanne Kelly of Georgetown; and seven stepgrandchildren. Irvin Ott EARTH - Irvin Ott, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Earth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Reed Farris officiating. Burial will be in Springlake Cemetery in Springlake, Texas, by Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home in Earth. He was born in Castro County and was a lifelong resident of Earth. He was a farmer. He was a member of Earth United Methodist Church and Earth Senior Citizens. His first wife, Alma, died in March, 1991. He married Martha Edmonds in November 1991. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Raybern Ott and Terry Ott, both of Earth, and Terrell Ott of Denver; a daughter, Irvaleen Ogletree of Alpine; two stepdaughters, Ann Sipes of Amarillo and Sue Bentley of Wheeler; two sisters, Evlyn Mitchell of Farwell and Betty Loudder of Sunnyside; two brothers, Curtiss Ott of Fairburn, S.D., and Bob Ott of Avenger; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Ray Earl Black FRITCH - Ray Earl Black, 92, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. He moved from Pampa to Fritch in 1951. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in 1963 as an oiler. He retired from the water authority in 1985. He was a member of First Christian Church in Pampa. He married Vada Bonner in 1952. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diane Barbee of Corsicana; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Bernard C. Himmelberg STINNETT - Bernard C. He married Martha Fehling in 1931 at Aholt. She died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Glen R. Himmelberg of Columbia, Mo.; three daughters, Benita Himmelberg of Panhandle, Jerrie Judd of Borger and Kathy Dodson of Fritch; three sisters, Veronica Fuemmler of Salisbury, Mo., Dorothy Fuemmler of Glasgow, Mo., and Anna Rose Campbell of Carrollton, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Miss Bullock was born in Odessa and had lived in Childress since 1924. She was an assistant cashier at First State Bank for 33 years before retiring. She was Presbyterian. Survivors include her sister, Hazel Marie Bullock of Childress. Dwight B. Hogle BORGER - Dwight B. "Bud" Hogle, 70, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Mr. Hogle had been a lifetime resident of Borger. He was a 20-year Army veteran, retiring as a staff sergeant after seeing service in Korea and Vietnam. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Monahan was born in Marceline, Mo., and had been a Stinnett resident for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Monahan, in 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Rosie Dawson of Stinnett, Sharon Wichman of Arlington and Sally Prah of Euless; a son, Mike Monahan of Lockhart; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
