Charles Waugh of Westview Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Stringer was born in Mansfield. She was the eldest of six living generations. Her husband, Paul A. Stringer, preceded her in death. Survivors include five generations of nieces and nephews. MASSUCCI Betty Massucci Betty Massucci, 70, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 3, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Raines, associate pastor, and the Rev. Dee Slocum, pastor of Greenway Park Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Massucci was born in Tulsa, Okla. A longtime Amarillo resident, she graduated from Amarillo High School. She retired as a receptionist from the Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a volunteer for Baptist St. Anthony's Auxiliary. She married John Massucci in 1974 at Carlsbad, N.M. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Michael Ray Howard of Sacramento, Calif., Patrick Wayne Howard of Tyler, Daniel B. Howard of Fullerton, Calif., Randall Wayne Massucci of Amarillo and Johnny Allen Massucci of Chandler, Okla.; a daughter, Patti Massucci of Bethany, Okla.; six sisters, Anita Reynolds and Mary Jane Tornow, both of Riverside, Calif., Dorothy Price of Sun City, Calif., Shirley Wilcox of Oceanside, Calif., Lou Chilton of San Diego and Rose Flint of Aurora, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. McSMITH Myra McSmith Myra McSmith, 69, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 3, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in N.S. Mrs. McSmith was born in Hedrick, Okla. She married Claude D. McSmith in 1970 at Fort Worth. They owned and operated the L.A. Diner in Claude for six years. She had been a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ for 27 years. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Wilson, Cheryl Hagee and Myra Ellen Raef. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Charles L. Interstate 40, with Major Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hunt was born in McLean and was a longtime Amarillo resident. He had worked for the city of Amarillo Water Department for more than 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Monica Smith in 1971 at Amarillo. Osage St. Mr. Davis was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1965. He was a selfemployed carpenter. Oklahoma Wayne Hodges FORGAN, Okla. - Wayne Hodges, 78, died Friday, July 3, 1998, in Beaver County. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Forgan Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mr. Hodges was born in Beaver and attended school in Forgan. He was retired from Beaver County. In 1954, he married Faye Blosser in Beaver. She died in 1997. Donna Vea Anderson FORGAN, Okla. - Donna Vea Anderson, 60, of Springfield, Colo., a former Forgan resident, died Friday, July 3, 1998 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from high school at Forgan and attended college for two years. She was the owner of an apparel business in Springfield. She married Al Anderson in 1956 at Forgan. Thelma Jean Allen HOOKER, Okla. - Thelma Jean Allen, 70, died Sunday, July 5, 1998. Burial will be in the Hooker Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen was born in Hooker. She attended Hooker schools, graduating in 1946. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She was a member of the Hooker Church of Christ. She married Earnie A. Allen in 1946. He died in 1979. Ed Abla officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Gibbs was born in Quanah, Texas, and had lived in Clovis from an early age. He was employed as a sheet-metal foreman by Newt and Butch Sheet Metal. He was a Baptist and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 3245. He married Jere Elaine Gilliland in 1960 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debra Anson of Blackwell, Texas, and Judy Conover of Clovis; a son, David Gibbs of Clovis; three brothers, Don Gibbs of Capitan, Archie Gibbs of Clovis and A.J. He retired as an operator for J.M. Huber. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Elks Lodge BPOE, where he had held every office, including chaplain. He married Marjorie C. Linscott in 1934 at Shattuck, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a son, Royce Shelton of Borger; a daughter, Waunell Murphy of Borger; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Joint burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Scroggs was a lifetime Perryton resident. He was employed as a fence builder. Mabel Alexander Ford PAMPA - Mabel Alexander Ford, 93, died Saturday, July 4, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church of Pampa with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ford was born in Texhoma, Okla., where she graduated from high school. She attended college in Goodwell, Okla., and Boulder, Colo., receiving a teacher's life certificate. Mrs. Ford taught school in the Oklahoma Panhandle for 10 years. She moved to Pampa from Guymon in 1943. She owned and operated Ford's Children's Wear and later Ford's Boys' Wear. She was a longtime member of the Professional Women's Club and the El Progresso Club, of which she became an honorary member in 1997. She also was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pampa. She married Charles P. Ford in 1927 at Boulder. He died in 1993. Survivors include two sisters, Lula Kuhn of Pampa and Jewel Davidson of Denver; and a brother, Ray Alexander of Harrison, Ark. Frances Ogden PAMPA - Frances Ogden, 69, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church of Pampa with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ogden was born in Paducah. She was president of her graduating class at Amarillo High School in 1947. She graduated with honors from Texas Christian University, receiving a bachelor's degree in English. She taught school in the Pampa Independent School District for 28 years. She also taught for many years in the Pampa Literacy Program. Mrs. Ogden was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Pampa and the Junior League of Pampa. She married W. Le Roi Ogden in 1953 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; and a daughter, Vicki Lynn Ogden. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Henry C. Ball DUMAS - Henry C. Ball, 76, died Friday, July 3, 1988. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Dea, minister of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Ball was born in Henderson County. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1940. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Normandy, northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1950 and taught school in Texas, Colorado and Kansas. After taking an early retirement from teaching, he worked for the Forest Service in Grand Mesa, Colo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Lamesa Lodge 909 AF&AM. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Willis and Chris Voelker, both of Dumas; a son, Russell C. Ball of Lamesa; a sister, Evelyn Ball of Quanah; two brothers, Harold Ball of Quanah and John R. Ball of Georgetown; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
