He worked in construction for 20 years before becoming disabled in 1993. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. McAdams was born in Mineola and had lived in Amarillo since 1954. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman W., in 1971 and by a daughter, Jo Ann Kelley, in 1963. He retired in 1969 after 26 years as a laboratory supervisor for O.M. Franklin Serum Co. He had been employed as a mechanic for Southwestern Greyhound for over 10 years. He married Lois Inez Padgett in 1937 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jackie Nall of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Belva Luella Bronniman Belva Luella Bronniman, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 5, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bell Avenue Church of Christ with John McMath and Glen Walton, ministers, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Bronniman was born in Woodward, Okla. She moved to Adrian in 1945 and to Amarillo in 1971. She was a homemaker and member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ. She married Oscar Bronniman in 1934 at Woodward. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Lyla Fagan, in 1985. Vasquez, 91, a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, June 4, 1998. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Vasquez was born in Travis County. He moved to Amarillo in 1945 and lived here for 40 years. He started a landscaping business and was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Vasquez retired as a landscape architect in 1992 and moved to Arlington. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Arlington. Survivors include his wife, Angela Flores Vasquez; three sons, Johnny Vasquez of Amarillo and David T. Vasquez and Dan R. Vasquez, both of Arlington; a daughter, Naomi Eakins of Arlington; a stepdaughter, Louise Vasquez of Arlington; four brothers, Marcilino and Ben Vasquez, both of Austin, Erineo Vasquez of Waxahachie and John Vasquez of Oakland, Calif.; and a sister, Trinidad Alvrdo of Austin. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in La Sagrada Familia Catholic Church in Garita, N.M. Burial will be in Garita Cemetery at Garita. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Aragon was born in Sapello, N.M., and had been a resident of the Trementina area all her life. She moved to Tucumcari three years ago. She was a member of La Sagrada Familia Catholic Church. She was a cook for the Trementina school system, worked on the family ranch, and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isidoro Aragon, in 1972. Wayne Boydstun officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cole was born in Denton, Texas. She attended school in House and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. She married Orbra A. Cole in 1936 at Clovis. They farmed in Friona, Pleasant Hill and Melrose. After retirement, they moved to Clovis. She attended Prince Street Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Stella Perry of Clovis; a sister, Mary York of Clovis; a brother, Joe Talley of Friona; and three grandchildren. Following her marriage, she lived in Limestone, Ill., then farmed in Cabery, Ill., for 25 years. She moved to Portales in 1986. She married Richard L. Horn in 1949 at Joliet, Ill. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard A. Horn of Cullom, Ill., and Don Horn of Rankin, Ill.; two daughters, Deborah Sabbah of Boling Brook, Ill., and Marilyn Rapp of Portales; and nine grandchildren. Richard Edwin Wood CLOVIS, N.M. - Richard Edwin Wood, 63, died Sunday, May 17, 1998. Memorial services are planned for a later date in West Virginia. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales. Mr. Wood was born in West Virginia. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1951 and retired after 21 years of active duty as a master sergeant. He served two tours in Vietnam. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ledbetter-McReynolds Post 3015 in Clovis. Survivors include two daughters, Drinda Allison of Canyon and Diane Wood of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Allan Wood of Victor, W.Va.; and a grandson. Oklahoma Sidney Wayne Williams GUYMON, Okla. - Sidney Wayne Williams, 75, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dick Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in Eva. He attended the Eva country school. He was a native farmer/rancher of the Eva community and served on various boards of the community and church. He moved to Guymon from the family farm northwest of Eva in 1960. He married Noxie Huddleston. Survivors include five children, Melvyn Williams of Eva, Mary Lou Cryer of Wichita, Kan., Barbara Claybrook of Channing, Larry Williams of Eva and Jerry Williams of Guymon; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Neufeld, 92, died Thursday, June 4, 1998. Services will be at 6 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church with Derek Cox officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hominy Cemetery at Hominy by Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Neufeld was born in Ellinwood, Kan. She graduated from high school in Yates Center, Kan., and attended college in Emporia, Kan. She taught school for two years at Yates Center. In 1927, she married Fred Neufeld at Guthrie. She was a housewife. In 1942, they moved to Boise City and she worked as a clerk at Coly's Market. In 1947 they moved to Hominy where she also worked in a market. When her husband died in 1958, she moved back to Boise City and again worked for Coly's Market and later for McDonald's Clothing store. Survivors include a daughter, Verna Jean Crabtree of Boise City; a brother, Howard Cook of Mount Ida, Ark.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Canyon Helen Marjorie Juniper Helen Marjorie Juniper, 91, of Canyon, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998. Mrs. Juniper was born in Carpenter, Ohio. She moved to Canyon in 1949 from Waco. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She married Walter H. Juniper in 1935 at New York City. Box 1035, Canyon, Texas, 79015. Area Mary Esther McKenna BORGER - Mary Esther McKenna, 87, died Thursday, June 4, 1998. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today in St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Isidore's Catholic Church Cemetery at Cuba, Kan. Arrangements are by Brown's Funeral Home. Mrs. McKenna was born in Hoisington, Kan. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in home economics. She served as a president of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She moved to Phillips in 1940 and to Borger in 1973. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, where she had been the organist for 25 years. She taught religion classes and was an active member and past president of the St. John's Altar Society. Mrs. McKenna was active in the March of Dimes, where she served on the county board for 10 years and as chairman for six years; the Red Cross; United Fund; the Satellite board; Opportunities Center board; and the Cancer, Heart and Kidney drives. She was an organizer of the Phillips community concert group in the 1940s and served two terms on the board of the Tri-City Community Concert Association. She also had served as president of the Paragon Club, Women of Rotary and Borger Federated Music Club. She was a sponsor of Jane Phillips sorority and helped organize the Hi-Phi Club for teen-age girls in Phillips, the Borger Panhellenic Council and served as vice president of Community Forum. She was a charter member of the Women's Division of the Borger Chamber of Commerce, serving on its board for several years. She also was a volunteer worker in the retarded children's program and actively supported the St. Ann Orphanage in Panhandle. She received the Community Service Award and was awarded certificates of appreciation by the March of Dimes, Women's Division of the Borger Chamber of Commerce, Women of Rotary and the Order of the Rose from Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She married George E. McKenna in 1933. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theresa. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Robert McKenna of Houston, Dr. Gary McKenna of Morristown, Tenn., and Dr. Joseph McKenna of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Sandra Seibel of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Retta Newkirk; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Norman Winkle OKLAHOMA CITY - Norman Winkle, 73, formerly of Canadian, died Thursday, June 4, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hahn-Cook / Street & Draper Chapel, 6006 N. Grand, Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Edith Ford Cemetery in Canadian with Ben Mathers officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mr. Winkle was born in Nocona and raised in Canadian where he graduated from high school. He served for three years in the Army including an 18 month tour of Germany during World War II. He received his degree in petroleum geology from University of Oklahoma in 1953. Mr. Winkle was employed by Mid States Oil and Gas, Tennessee Oil and Gas, Jocelyn-Varn Oil and Gas and Basin Petroleum. He worked as an independent consulting geologist since 1973. He was a member of American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Oklahoma Geological Society. Mr. Winkle was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF&AM of Canadian for 50 years. He also was a member of Twin Hills Golf and Country Club, Oak Tree Golf Club and Crown Heights Christian Church. He married Margaret Ann Hutcheson in 1946. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jo Ann Gagliardi of Oklahoma City; a son, David Norman Winkle of Coppell; and four grandchildren. Ruben David Montoya BORGER - Ruben David Montoya, 7, of Dodge City, Kan., died Monday, June 1, 1998 in Las Vegas. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Garden of Devotion in Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Montoya was born in Brownfield. Mr. Williams was born in Lindsay, Okla. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the 62nd Fighter Squadron in the European / African theater. He also was a military policeman. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Horan was born in Nebraska. He was raised in Perryton and was a 1934 graduate of Perryton High School. He moved to Plainview in 1945 and farmed. In 1954, he went into the dairy business for 19 years. Mr. Horan moved to Edmonson in 1982 and retired from farming in 1994. He was active in the Plainview Fat Stock Show since the 1950s and was past vice president of Farm Bureau. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Margaret George in 1937 at Perryton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Norris of Edmonson; a son, Roger Horan of Plainview; a brother, Roger Horan of McGee, Ark.; two sisters, Verna Paddock of Kinsley, Kan., and Doris McCorstin of Sherman; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She moved to Plainview in 1953 then to Lubbock in 1975. She moved to Boise City, Okla., in 1989. She was a Baptist. She married J.T. Essary in 1953 at Portales, N.M. Survivors include two sons, Gary Lynn Essary of Lubbock and Del Essary of Plainview; a brother, W.H. Gorman Jr. of San Benito; two sisters, Wanda Patton of San Saba and Joyce J. Townsley of Boise City; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
