Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mr. Sliger was born in Huntington, W. Va., and lived in Amarillo 15 years before moving to Corpus Christi in 1988. He was a salesman. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara F. Linke of Amarillo, Lisa R. Clevenger of Winfield, W. Va., and Amanda J. Sliger of Lebanon, Tenn.; two sons, Jeffrey H. Sliger of Amarillo and William W. Sliger II of McLean, Va.; two brothers, Robert W. Sliger of Huntington, W. Va. and Gregory S. Sliger of Nederland; and seven grandchildren. The family will be at 2410 W. 49th Ave. They request memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. The body will not be available for viewing. Robert Earl Siler Robert Earl "Bob" Siler, 87, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, in Kingsland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Chapel of Kingsland with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Mr. Siler was born in Guthrie, Okla., and lived in Kingsland for 13 years before moving to Amarillo. He was a pilot and operated Tradewinds Airport in Amarillo for 23 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist and a member of the Tascosa Country Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Fisher Siler. Survivors include two brothers, Joe Siler of Granite Shoals and P.J. "Billy" Siler of Lakewood, Calif.; and a sister, Mary Oates of Granite Shoals. Francis James Williams Francis James Williams, 63, a former Amarillo resident, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at Austin. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Williams was born in Tupelo, Okla. He lived in Amarillo for a short time before moving to the Austin State School. Survivors include two brothers, Paul Williams of Austin and Gene Williams of Houston. Julia Maye Ingrum Spurlock Julia Maye Ingrum Spurlock, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street with the Rev. Dalton Key of North Amarillo Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at the Claude Cemetery at Claude. Mrs. Spurlock was born in Carson County. She was a member of the Pen Women of America, the Seinstein Foundation and a contributor to the Amarillo Little Theatre and Amarillo Symphony. She was a retired certified public accountant and a Unitarian. Survivors include a sister, Frances E. Tucker of Amarillo. Canyon Jeanetta Johnson Jeanetta Johnson, 40, of Canyon, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Hale Center Church of Christ at Hale Center with Larry Hambrick officiating. Burial will be at Hale Center Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St., Amarillo. Mrs. Johnson was born in Hale Center. She attended Hale Center public schools. She was a housekeeper. She married Ronnie Johnson Sr. in 1980. Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronnie Johnson Jr. of Canyon; five brothers, Orville McDaniel, Cal McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, Luther McDaniel and Joe Nathan Davis, all of Hale Center; five sisters, Alice Malone of Happy, Carolyn Williams and Callie Acqueag of Hale Center, Jeannie Malone of Dallas and Freddie Strong of Hale Center. The family will be at 509 N. Worton St., in Happy. New Mexico Geraldine Meeks CLOVIS, N.M. - Geraldine "Jerry" Meeks, 72, of Farwell, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday CST in Fifth Street Church of Christ of Farwell with Terry Hightower officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Meeks was born in Tillman County, Okla. She attended Oklahoma Lane School and Texas Tech University. She taught school at Oklahoma Lane. She then worked in the Parmer County Clerk's office and was a member of First Street Church of Christ. She married Billy Gerald Meeks in 1945 at Paris He died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Greg Meeks of Seminole, Texas; three daughters, Kandy Galvan of Seminole, Gail Renne of Lubbock and Joi Banks of Albuquerque; a brother, Gene Verner of Fairhope, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to Portales Christian Children's Home. Elsewhere Emma Z. Thomas WICHITA FALLS - Emma Z. Thomas, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel at Childress with A.T. Flowers, an elder of Primitive Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, and the Rev. Jimmy Robertson of First Methodist Church of Childress, officiating. Burial will be at Childress Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas was born in Fannin County. She married Caudell Thomas in 1920 in Childress. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church. She was a longtime resident of Childress before moving to Wichita Falls nine years ago into the Texhoma Christian Care Center. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and also by a son, Jerome Thomas in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Dudley of Wichita Falls; two sons, Teddy Thomas of Childress and Don Thomas of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Area Lillie Belle Duncan DIMMITT - Lillie Belle Duncan, 100, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Rhodes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Duncan was born in Indian Territory and moved to Dimmitt in 1930 from Pampa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Greenberry Duncan in 1919 at Nocona. He died in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Robert Duncan of Amarillo and Glenn Duncan of Dimmitt; a daughter, Bernice Hill of Dimmitt; a sister, Jessie Wall of Amarillo; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Monica Michelle Limas PANHANDLE - Monica Michelle Limas, 11-day-old infant daughter of Matias and Hortencia Limas, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Panhandle Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hutzler officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Survivors include her parents; a brother, Aldo Limas of the home; a sister, Melissa Limas of the home; and grandmothers, Santos Belarde and Carman Limas, both of Panhandle. James Hill LOCKNEY - James Hill, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Russell Byard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Hill was born in Floyd County. He was a maintainer operator for Floyd County. He was member of the First United Methodist Church, the Lockney Volunteer Fire Department and the Lockney Senior Citizens Association where he served as a director. He married Myrtle E. Harkins in 1952 in Plainview. She preceded him in death in 1992. Mr. Hill also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Don Hill, in 1948. Survivors include four sons, Mickey Pennington of Brazoria, Travis Barton of Glen Burnie, Md., Alvie Barton of Woodward, Okla., and Dick Barton of Plainview; a brother, J.T. Hill of Seattle; a sister, Maxine Parker of Mabank; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to noon today. Holton SPEARMAN - Richard B. Holton, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Cole, pastor, and the Rev. Beverly Cook, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Holton was born in Carthage, Mo., and had lived in the Spearman area for 72 years. He farmed and was the owner of H&H Water Well Service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former Spearman city alderman. Mr. Holton was a member of the Khiva Shrine, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of Hansford Lodge 1040 AF&AM. He was a past president of the Texas Ground Water Association and a founding director of the First National Bank of Spearman. He married Elizabeth Smith in 1945 in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Holton and Steve Holton, both of Spearman; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Hansford Hospice, 707 Roland, Spearman, TX, 79081. Troy Stallings WELLINGTON - Troy Stallings, 78, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Vince Sandlin of Paducah and the Rev. Bill Thompson of Longview officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Stallings was born in the Plymouth community of Collingsworth County. He was a longtime resident of Collingsworth County and Wellington. He had been a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was an Eagle Scout. He was a painter and an interior decorator. He had been an ordained minister for several years before retiring and was a member of the Assembly of God. He married Myrtle Edwards in 1940 at Hollis, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Cleland Troy Stallings, Benny Don Stallings and Kenny Paul Stallings, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Debbie Kaye Stallings Fowler of Euless; a half-sister, Jewel Mae Kitchen of Hollis; and five grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Essie Burrows Howard MCLEAN - Essie Burrows Howard, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Howard was born in Hollis, Okla., and moved to McLean in 1916. She worked as a clerk for JCPenney for 10 years and Corinne's Dress Shop for a number of years. Mrs. Howard was also a seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Thursday Bridge Club. Mrs. Howard married Bryan Burrows in 1924 at Shamrock. He died in 1969. She married Frank Howard in Wellington in 1975. Mr. Howard also preceded her in death. Mrs. Howard also was preceded in death by a son, Gary Burrows. Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Mertel of McLean; a half-brother, Odell Worley of Mineral Wells; two stepsons, Harris Howard of Groom and Bob Howard of Groom; a stepdaughter, Joann Wells of Pampa; and 10 grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church or a favorite charity. The body will be available for viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the church.
