Mr. Page was born in Higgins and had been a lifelong Higgins resident. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Peggy Proctor in 1954 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Barney Page of Muleshoe; two daughters, Tonja Gillispie of Dallas and Mickie Page of Woodward, Okla.; and five grandchildren. Raquel Madrid SUNRAY - Raquel Madrid, 87, died Saturday, April 4, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Iglesia Del Dios Vivo with Federico Pena, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. Madrid was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She had lived in Sunray for the past seven years. She was a homemaker and attended Iglesia Del Dios Vivo. Survivors include five daughters, Emma Rangel, Maria De Jesus Renteria and Juana Pena, all of Sunray, Carmen Madrid of Mexico and Bertha Bernal of Kermit; two sons, Jose Serda of Sunray and Manuel Lujan of Mexico; 35 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 200 Avenue R. Berneice Elmore Taylor SHAMROCK - Berneice Elmore Taylor, 77, of North Richland Hills, a former Shamrock resident, died Saturday, April 4, 1998. Services will be at 12 p.m. today in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Taylor lived near Sulphur, Okla., when she was young. In her late teens, she met and married Frank Elmore. They moved to California, living in Salinas until 1950. They moved to Shamrock and also lived in Wellington and Borger during the next few years. They later moved back to San Diego. Mr. Elmore died in 1961. Later, she married Paul Taylor and continued to live in San Diego until Mr. Taylor retired. Shortly after retiring, they moved to Amarillo. They had lived in North Richland Hills for the past seven years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry Franklin Elmore of Coolidge, Ariz.; a daughter, Barbara Ann Davis of Fort Worth; three brothers, Horace F. Woods of Sulphur, Roy G. Woods of Fritch and Robert W. Woods of Amarillo; three sisters, Marie Moose of Amarillo, June Ogle of Richardson and Joan Stone of Richland Hills; three grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Thelma Rogers MEMPHIS - Thelma "Jack" Rogers, 87, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Travis Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Reid officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Spicer Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers was born in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Travis Baptist Church. She married Albert Rogers in 1963 at Memphis. Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, Leon Rogers and William Kenneth Rogers, both of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Louise Bray of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He graduated from Lefors High School and attended Clarendon College. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1969. He married Susan Hite in 1972 at Borger. He moved to Deaf Smith County in 1973 from Canyon. Mr. Sublett was a salesman for Texas Equipment. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, a Sunday school teacher and a church choir member. He also was a member of the Hereford Noon Lions Club. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ben Sublett of Hereford; a daughter, Taylor Sublett of College Station; his parents, Buster and Bonnie Sublett of Hereford; and two brothers, John Sublett of Hereford and Jerry Sublett of Canyon. Cremation will be by Memorial Park Crematory in Amarillo. Mr. Ivey was born in Hedley and had been a resident of Donley County much of his life. He worked at various jobs and had been a clerk at Taylor Food Mart in Clarendon for the past two years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. O'Quinn was born in Miles, Texas, and had been a resident of the Tucumcari area since 1946. He was a farmer before retiring in 1978 from his farming operation on Norton Road, southeast of Tucumcari. He was a member of Center Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Leighton O'Quinn of Alamogordo, and Pat O'Quinn and Tim O'Quinn, both of Tucumcari; a daughter, Sharon Hohstadt of Morton, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Lane and Emma B. Eugene Terrell SAN JON, N.M. - Eugene Terrell, 84, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at Tucumcari. Burial will be in San Jon Cemetery. Mr. Terrell was born in Little Rock, Ark. He moved to Endee when he was 2 years old. He graduated from Endee High School in 1931. He moved to San Jon in 1947 and had lived there since. He was a retired automobile mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Terrell; three sons, James Terrell of Amarillo, Carl Terrell of San Jon and Ray Terrell of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service time. Amarillo Hugo Joeris Hugo Joeris, 87, of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, in Cheyenne, Wyo. He moved to Amarillo in 1942 from Wichita Falls. He was the owner and operator of Amarillo Novelty Co. before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Amarillo Senior Citizens Center Square Dancing Club. He married Margaret Gallatin in 1934 at Vinita, Okla. She died in 1985. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Hugo Joeris Jr. and James Paul Joeris. Survivors include three daughters, Patti Zawadzki and Susan Boykin, both of Littleton, Colo., and Judy Jaterka of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Louis Joeris of Houston; two sisters, Jerry Seibt of Sanger and Margueritte Dubbs of Pecos; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Georgia St. Mr. Andreu was born in Amarillo. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Mr. Leonard was born in Spencer County, Ind. He moved to Amarillo in 1987 from Dalhart. He was a retired pilot. He worked as a crop duster for 20 years before moving to Amarillo, where he worked as a sales clerk for Toot'n Totum, Diamond Shamrock and Phillips 66. He married Linda Tow Smith in 1958. Survivors include his former wife, Linda; a son, Bill Leonard of Amarillo; two daughters, Debra Leonard and Brenda Reddock, both of Amarillo; his parents, Lloyd and Jane Leonard of Greencastle, Ind.; three sisters, Janice Summerlot of Coatesville, Ind., Joyce Young of Timber Lake, N.C., and Linda Foss of Crivitz, Wis.; and two grandchildren. Interstate 40. Mrs. Obee was born in Vicksburg, Miss. She moved to Amarillo in 1985 from Yuma, Ariz. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She married Mark Obee in 1925 at Whitehouse, Ohio. He died in 1973. She also was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Obee, in 1950. Survivors include a son, Alvin Obee of Lakeside, Calif.; a daughter, Margaret Philley of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. Military rites will be by Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 26. Mr. Lawrence was born in Wewahitchka, Fla. He moved to Amarillo 28 years ago. He retired from the Air Force in 1970. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He worked with Mesa Petroleum for 10 years before retiring. He was Baptist. He married his wife, Virginia, in 1946. She died in February. Survivors include two sons, Daniel W. Lawrence of Dallas and Curtis D. Lawrence of Amarillo; a daughter, Denise A. Vaughn of Carthage; and three grandchildren. Herman Leroy Harris Herman Leroy Harris, 85, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Harris was born in Bells. He moved to Amarillo in 1945 from Fort Sill, Okla. He worked in sales for Milton & Clark Medical Supplies before retiring in the late 1970s. He served in the military and was a member of San Jacinto Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He married Cleo Fenwick in 1946 at Amarillo. She died in 1995. Survivors include a brother, Charles Harris of Anchorage, Alaska; and four sisters, Mozelle Clinkscales of Duncan, Okla., Pearl Lighthart of Fort Worth, Francis Borg of San Antonio and Mary Sue Case of Tulsa, Okla. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Oklahoma Loretta Murphy OPTIMA, Okla. - Loretta Murphy, 79, died Monday, April 6, 1998, in Liberal, Kan. Local arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mrs. Murphy was born in Osage, Ill. She attended Six Mile Township School, near Osage. She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. She married Paul L. Murphy in 1967 at New Madrid, Mo. They moved to the Optima/Guymon area in 1983 from Macus, Colo. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lloyd Hale and Jesse Moyer, and an infant. Survivors include her husband, Paul; a son, Lloyd Hale of Mulkeytown, Ill.; a daughter, Joyce Sanders of Elizabethtown, Ill.; a stepson, Melvin Murphy of Guymon; two sisters, Ruth Schblowsky of Royalton, Ill., and Imogene Short of Mulkeytown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Dorothy Mildred Cornell BALKO, Okla. - Dorothy Mildred "Myrr" Cornell, 89, died Sunday, April 5, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Balko Baptist Church with John Goss Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mrs. Cornell was born in Beaver County. She taught school for several years after graduation. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Harold Cornell in 1927 at Liberal, Kan. He died in 1989. Survivors include a son, Bill Cornell of Gore; two daughters, Pat Kinsey of Balko and Dorothy Renfrow of San Marcos, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Pat Jones LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A. Pat Jones, 84, died Monday, April 6, 1998. Memorial services will be by Ruebel Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born in Hereford, Texas. He graduated from Hereford High School and from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Upon graduating, he was employed by Texas Power and Light Co. During World War II, he served with the Navy as a lieutenant commander in the Canal Zone and as a senior electrical officer on the sub tender USS Sperry in the South Pacific. After the war, he was promoted to commander and was recalled during the Korean War to serve with the Bureau of Ships in Washington, D.C. Mr. Jones then returned to Texas and was employed as a planning engineer for Central Power and Light Co. in Corpus Christi. In 1964, he accepted the position of coordinator for power interchange operations between 11 South Central electric companies. Upon retiring in 1979, he became a licensed real estate broker and land surveyor. He developed a subdivision in Jacksonville, Ark. In the 1970s, he became licensed to perform environmental impact assessments. He performed contract work for the city of Little Rock. Mr. Jones was a member of the Texas A&M Alumni Association and Tau Beta Phil. He also was a member of First Christian Church, where he was a past chairman of the board. He and his wife, Helen Barber Jones, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert L. Jones of Little Rock; a daughter, Martha Lynn Brooks of Bigfork, Mont.; a sister, Bettye Wilson of Tulsa, Okla.; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to the American Heart Association or the Arkansas Children's Hospital. Lowry Molloy LUBBOCK - Lowry Molloy, 86, died Monday, April 6, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Church of Christ with Jerry Kendall and Cecil Bunch, both of Clovis, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Sanders Funeral Home. Mr. Molloy was born in Eldorado, Okla. He moved with his family from Eldorado to Hollis, Okla., in 1913. He married Oleta Burk in 1931. He farmed with his father and worked part time in Hollis until 1937, when he began a full-time job at Hollis Farm Supply. He was parts and service manager and later became store manager until 1944, when he became the local John Deere dealer. He retired in 1957. He was active in the church as a song leader, a Bible class teacher and as a deacon. He also served as church secretary/treasurer. Mr. Molloy was a member of the founding board of Central Christian College and also was one of the five incorporators of the Westview Boys' Home in Hollis. He was active in the Hollis Kiwanis Club, the chamber of commerce and the city council. Mr. Molloy and his wife moved to Lubbock in 1958. In Lubbock, he served as an elder and treasurer at Southside Church of Christ. His wife, Oleta, preceded him in death. He married Dorothy Burk in 1963. They lived in Lubbock until moving to Clovis, N.M., in 1975. In Clovis, Mr. Molloy was active in the 21st Street Congregation. His wife, Dorothy, died in 1995. In 1996, Mr. Molloy married Wilda Wilson. They lived in Clovis until 1997, when they moved to Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth L. Molloy of Hayward, Calif.; a daughter, Nelda Thompson of Plano; a stepdaughter, Becky Nemrow of Clovis; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The family requests memorials be to Tipton, Okla., Children's Home or Westview Boy's Home of Hollis, Okla.
