Wilhelm NAZARETH - C.B. Wilhelm, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998, at Dimmitt. Vigil services will be at 8 p.m. today in the CCD Building. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Holy Family Church by the Rev. Jerry Stein, presider. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery by Foskey-LilleyMcGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mr. Wilhelm was born in Nazareth. He had farmed most of his life. He was a member of the Nazareth Knights of Columbus Council 2654 and of Holy Family Catholic Church. Box 7, Nazareth, TX 79063 or the Nazareth Senior Citizens, P.O. Box 241, Nazareth, TX 79063. George Cooper Jr. MORTON - George Cooper Jr., 78, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Morton Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Chris Sutton, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Lubbock, officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Cooper was born in Crosby County and moved to Morton in 1924. He worked for the U.S. Post Office and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church. He married Kathryn Baker in 1965 at Denver City. She died in 1996. Survivors include four sons, George F. Cooper III of San Angelo, Jerry Don Cooper of Lubbock, Donnye Baker of Morton and Larry Baker of Bryan; a daughter, Janice Bracken of Mesquite; two sisters, Montene Willis of Harleton and Betty Brown of Lovington, N.M.; a brother, G.O. Cooper of Morton; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Melton H. McGehee WAYSIDE - Melton H. McGehee, 88, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wayside Community Church with the Rev. James Tope and the Rev. John Baird, officiating. Burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. McGehee was born 41/2 miles northeast of Wayside between Palo Duro and Happy canyons. He attended school in Wayside and graduated from Lubbock High School, where he was all state in football. He attended Texas Tech in 1931 and was co-captain of the freshman football team. He served as a director at First State Bank in Tulia for six years and had been director of Mid-Plains Rural Telephone Co. for 33 years. He was a lifetime resident of the Wayside community, where he also ranched, farmed and raised cattle and horses. He was a member of Wayside Methodist Church. He married Othella Lemley in 1934. Shirley, 85, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with Kenneth Avaritt of Benton, Ark., officiating. Burial will be in Old Friona Cemetery at Friona. Mr. Shirley was born in Granite, Okla. He married Teriece Sholar in 1943 at Clovis, N.M. They moved to Hereford 45 years ago. He was a member of the Five State Collector's Association of National Watch and Clock Collectors and was a charter member of the Park Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cornelia Ann Shirley in 1944. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Wayne Shirley of Fort Worth, Perry Shirley of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Dwight Shirley of Boyd; a daughter, Marlyn Sue May of Lampasas; a brother, Reaford Shirley of Selma, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Mary Jean Cooper Mary Jean Cooper, 72, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. Vigil services were at 7 p.m. Monday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church by Monsignor Francis A. Smyer and the Rev. Ken Keller. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Cooper was born in Hampton, Neb. She attended nursing school in Montana. In 1960 she moved to Amarillo from Dumas. She was a registered nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit and in Critical Care at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She married Tommy Claude Cooper in 1950. He died in 1994. Survivors include a son, Kelly Cooper of Amarillo; two daughters, Deborah O'Leary of Glenwood Springs, Colo., and Kim Cooper of Amarillo; two brothers, Robert Fagan of Billings, Mont., and Tommy Fagan of Kevin, Mont.; two sisters, Betty Zarn of Cut Bank, Mont., and Doris Pearson of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. Raynell Anderson Raynell Anderson, 64, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Paramount Baptist Church with the Rev. C.N. She was the owner of Raynell's Design in the Western Plaza Mall. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and director of Paramount Baptist Church Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of Pioneer Promenaders Square Dancers and of Women's Bridge Club. She married Darrell Anderson Sr. in 1953 at Levelland. Survivors include her husband; a son, Darrell Anderson Jr. of Amarillo; two daughters, Jane Izard of Amarillo and Janna Zedaker of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Hollis and Colleen Abernathy of Levelland; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Cam'Ron Patrick Luna Cam'Ron Patrick Luna, infant son of Connie and Patrick Luna of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. Graveside services will be at noon today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Hilario Nayola, of Mission Bautista Nueva Esperanza, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Cam'Ron was born Aug. 31 in Amarillo. Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Kayla Luna and Krystal Luna, both of the home; and grandparents, Manuel and Augustina Ramos of Amarillo and Guadalupe Luna of Dimmitt. The body will be available for viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at 5227 Mountain Drive after services. Hallie F. Whiddon Hallie F. Whiddon, 93, of Amarillo, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with Shawn Smith of Olsen Park Church of Christ and Jeff Asher of Dumas Drive Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Whiddon was born in Rule and moved to Amarillo in 1938 from Pampa. She was a homemaker and attended Olsen Park Church of Christ. She married Lawrence Whiddon in 1924 at Shamrock. He died in 1972. Survivors include a son, L.N. Whiddon of Amarillo; two daughters, Mary Royal and Charlotte Meyer, both of Amarillo; a brother, Floyd Crofford of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Alice Wiebe Skidgel GUYMON, Okla. - Alice Wiebe Skidgel, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church, Holly Chapel at Perryton, Texas, with the Rev. John Goss officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery at Perryton by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mrs. Skidgel was born in Waka, Texas, and moved to Hardesty in 1948. She moved to the Guymon area in 1970 from Hardesty. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1941 and attended two years of college. She married Edgar W. Skidgel in 1946 at Perryton, Texas. He died in 1970. Survivors include two sons, Howard Skidgel of Perryton and Garland Skidgel of Hooker; a daughter, Carolyn Harness of San Diego, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
