Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Union Church with the Rev. Bill Sparks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. VanBuskirk was born in Grant, Mo. He moved to Spearman 34 years ago from Pratt, Kan. He retired in 1997 after 37 years as a contract pumper. He also was a commercial cattle hauler for 38 years until his death. He married Sarah Heath in 1987 at Spearman. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Allen VanBuskirk, and Greg VanBuskirk, both of Lamar, Colo., and Tracy VanBuskirk of Texhoma, Okla.; a daughter, Angela Johnson of Blanchard, Okla.; two stepsons, Larry Blackwell of Oklahoma City and Steve Blackwell of Liberal, Kan.; a brother, Gary VanBuskirk of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Loretta Ingram of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and nine grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Pampa with the Rev. Gene Allen, retired minister from Briarwood Full Gospel Church of Pampa, and the Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Full Gospel, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Robinson was born in Yankton, S.D. He moved to Pampa in 1935 from Yankton. He worked for Cabot Corp. for 33 years as a welder, retiring in 1978. He also worked part-time for Parker Welding for 27 years. He was a member of the Briarwood Full Gospel Church. He married Pearl Robinson in 1986 in Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dixie Mobley of Amarillo; a son, Don R. Robinson of Pampa; two sisters, Margaret Bosteder of Yankton and Grace Brewer of Monroe, Ore.; three stepdaughters, Faye Langston of Seymour, Alma Joyce Johnston of Mount Pleasant and Paulette Younger of Skellytown; a stepson, Sammy Lee Young of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Darrell Gene Winkle FRITCH - Darrell Gene Winkle, 42, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Hobbs and the Rev. Trey Robertson, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Winkle was born in Borger and moved to Fritch in 1987 from Borger. He was an insulator for Local 66 and was a member of Bunavista Baptist Church in Borger. He married Louisa Lucero in 1975 at Stinnett. Survivors include his wife; a son, Darrell "Bubba" L. Winkle of the home; three daughters, Billie Jean Winkle of the home and Dirchia Lynn Winkle and Sylvia Harris, both of Borger; his parents, Owen and Pat Winkle of Fritch; two brothers, Danny Ray Winkle and David Wayne Winkle, both of Borger; and a granddaughter. The family will be at 119 Boyd or 220 Buffalo Trail, both in Fritch. W.E. Hinton PAMPA - W.E. "Bill" Hinton, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jim Prock, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Hinton was born in Bowie and moved to Pampa in 1934 from Oklahoma City. He also had lived in Mounds, Okla. He worked for Kewanee Oil Co. as a bookkeeper for 391/2 years, retiring in 1973. Prior to working for Kewanee Oil Co., he worked for Santa Fe Railway in Williams, Ariz., and in the oil fields in Borger, Seminole, Oklahoma and Bradford, Pa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Dorothy Lorene "Bertha" Short in 1933 at Oklahoma City. She died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Donald Wayne Hinton of Clarendon; a daughter, Betty Ann Johnson of Denver; a brother, James Curtis Evans of Lipan; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Virgil Ludden PAMPA - Virgil Ludden, 82, a longtime Pampa resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, in Norman, Okla. Graveside services will be at 9:30 today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jim Prock, pastor of First Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Ludden was born in Canadian and had been a resident of Canadian and Pampa for most of his life. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He retired from Phillips after 32 years of service. Mr. Ludden was a Methodist. He moved to Harrah, Okla., 10 months ago. He married Dorothy Noblett in 1990. She died in June. Survivors include a son, Byron Rollison of Harrah; and a brother, Melvin Ludden of Fritch. Mildred Windom MORTON - Mildred Windom, 80, of Lubbock, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church of Morton with the Rev. Gary Boles, pastor, the Rev. Rex Mauldin of Abilene and the Rev. Eddie Marcum of First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Windom was born in Marietta, Okla. She moved from Albuquerque, N.M., to Morton, then to Lubbock in 1990. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Morton and the Eastern Star. She married C.D. Windom in 1938 at Hereford. Survivors include her husband; a son, Ron Windom of Melrose, N.M.; a stepson, Sonny Windom of Spearman; a daughter, Mikella Windom of Lubbock; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Amarillo Willie West Willie West, 67, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Burch Dave Burch, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Covenant of Joy Christian Church with the Rev. Dave Brummett of the church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Burch was born in Alice. He moved to Amarillo in 1976 from Hollis, Okla. He was employed as a paint contractor. He married Ruby Dabbs in 1937 at Hollis. He was preceded in death by a son, David Burch, in 1979. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Nicholson was born in Grayson County. She moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Olton. She was a homemaker. She married Lee R. Nicholson in 1945 at Dallas. He died in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Plexico and Irene Reyna, both of Amarillo; a son, Bobby Lee Nicholson of Amarillo; a sister, Zelma Brockman of Grand Prairie; two brothers, J.V. Cranfill of Amarillo and Lowell Cranfill of Memphis; eight grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. They suggest memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Elizabeth Pralle Elizabeth Pralle, 64, of Amarillo, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mrs. Pralle was born in Ealing, London, England. She lived in California and New Jersey for a number of years. She was a homemaker who moved to Amarillo eight months ago from Denver. She was preceded in death by a son, Sonny Jones, in 1953. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Warner of Amarillo and Valerie Geist of Morrison, Colo.; a son, Michael Pralle of San Diego; three sisters, Eileen Ewing, Maggi Thornton and Maureen Mack, all of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member of St. Lawrence Cathedral. She married Francisco J. Ledesma 20 years ago at Gonzales. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jose Longoria III, Rene Longoria and Francisco Ledesma Jr., all of Amarillo; a daughter, Virginia Gonzales of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Rodriquez of Victoria; a sister, Grace Moreno of Austin; and six grandchildren. Paul Wright Paul Wright, 81, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born in Red River County. He moved to Amarillo in 1971 from Lubbock. He retired as service manager of John Deere Plow Co. He married Betty Simmons in 1969 at Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Darron Wright of Amarillo and Ronald Wright of Plainview; two daughters, Darenda Adams of Amarillo and Lois Kinsey of Big Spring; three brothers, J.T. Wright of Amarillo, Calvin Wright of Lubbock and Bernie Wright of Wolfforth; two sisters, Myrle Allison and Frances Boles, both of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Edgar F. Sprouse Edgar F. Sprouse, 58, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998. Burial will be at 10:30 MST Friday in Santa Fe National Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mr. Sprouse was born in Vega and moved to Amarillo in 1941. He was a veteran of the Air Force. In New Mexico, he worked as an industrial electrician in building refineries for more than 30 years. He returned to Amarillo in 1993 and was employed by IBP until 1996. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie, in 1974. Survivors include a son, Michael Sprouse of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Maria Sprouse Leneker of Craig, Alaska; a sister, Lee Reynolds of Amarillo; and a grandchild. Ralph H. Gray Ralph H. "Grandpa" Gray, 77, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in San Jacinto Full Gospel Church with James Burns, pastor, and Dan Usiak, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park's Mausoleum East by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Gray was born in Bartlesville, Okla. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo, having moved here from San Antonio. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He received his bachelor's degree from University of West Palm Beach. Mr. Gray retired from the Air Force in Amarillo where he was in charge of the military training schools. After his retirement, he was an accountant. He was a member of the Kiwanis where he was past president, Veterans of Foreign Wars, NCOA, Air Force Sergeants Association and San Jacinto Full Gospel Church. He married Patricia Gray in 1973 at Chihuahua, Mexico. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul H. Gray. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald Gray of Norman, Okla., Michael Evans of Lubbock and David Evans of Amarillo; four daughters, Geraldine Burnett of Rockdale, Deborah Mabry and Victoria Childers, both of Amarillo, and Rebecca Marquez of Sant Rosa, Calif.; two sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Mary Medlin, both of Billings, Mont.; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. "Buck" Page, 67, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in The Chapel, 1500 N. Thornton, with Cecil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors conducted by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Page was born in Louisa, Ky., and lived in Bovina, Texas, from 1959 until 1978, when he moved to Muleshoe, Texas. He moved to Clovis in 1987. He enlisted in the Army in 1948 and served in the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a retired painter and a Baptist. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3280 and Disabled American Veterans. He married Beverly Heathington in 1981. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Teresa Greer of Lubbock; a son, Tom Page of Clovis; two stepsons, Ben Roach of Safford, Ariz., and Don Heathington of Muleshoe; a sister, Mildred Short of Liberal, Kan.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The casket will be closed for services. Visitation will be until 10 a.m. today at the funeral home. Leona M. Lambert TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Leona M. Lambert, 73, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. MST/3 p.m. CDT Friday in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Bowman, Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Lambert was born in Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of Texaco where she farmed with her late husband. After his death, she moved to Logan, then to Amarillo. She moved to Clovis recently. She married Verl Lambert who preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Trudie Miller of Amarillo, Georgina Wooten of Claude, Texas, and Frankie Groomas of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Neil Lambert of Clovis and Monty Lambert of Wellman, Texas; two brothers, Allen Powell of Dallas and Alvin Powell of Dalhart, Texas; two sisters, Marjorie White and Margurite White, both of Tucumcari; nine grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren. Arrangements are by Crowder Funeral Home of Dickinson. Mr. Bohannan was born in Achille, Okla. He served during World War II in the Pacific and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He retired as an operation manager with American Zinc and also belonged to a A.L.S. Support Group of Houston. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie. Survivors include his wife, Marie; four daughters, Linda Marsh of Alvin, Susan Pate of Midland, Darlene Childs of Seabrook and Vickie Cummings of Greenville; a son, Loyd L. Bohannan Jr. of Pampa; four sisters, Doris Sleeman of Euless, Ida Fay Sampson of Savoy, Josephine Sanders of Dallas and Billie Ruth Rice of Dennison; a brother, Donald Bohannan of Colbert, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Mr. Morgan was born and raised in Amarillo until he started college in Irving. After his graduation from DeVrie, he lived and worked in Fort Worth. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Verlene and Kenneth Hall of Mineral Wells; his father and stepmother, Bill and Annette Morgan of Amarillo; a brother, Ryan Colburn of Amarillo; grandparents, Wanda Colburn-Stroud of Amarillo and Raymond and Willo Boyle of Mineral Wells; and special friends, Kim Bradford and Ethan Rowland. Dr. Joy Ann Anderson DALLAS - Dr. Joy Ann Anderson, 64, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998. Memorial services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas. Arrangements were by AndersonClayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kaufman. Dr. Anderson was born in Fort Worth. She was a 1975 graduate of Texas Woman's University where she earned her doctorate in psychology. She had a private practice from 1977 until 1990 in Richardson. She was then the correctional psychologist for the John Lindsey State Jail Facility in Jacksboro and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Amarillo.
