Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. MST Thursday in Mission Gardens Cemetery in Clovis, N.M. Mrs. Smith was born in Clovis and moved to Amarillo in 1963. She was a home care-giver and a member of the Church of Christ. She married John W. Smith in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Spielbauer of Amarillo; a son, Tracy Don Smith of Garland; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will be at 3303 N.E. 20th Ave. Gwen Randell Gwen Randell, 58, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Randell was born in Borger and had lived in Amarillo since 1952. She had worked as a secretary and was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. She married Mitchel Randell in 1958 in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nella Ballauer and Audrey Gazzaway, both of Amarillo; her mother, Syble Brandon of Amarillo; two sisters, Norma Roberts of Clifton and Marilyn Edwards of Temple; and two grandchildren. Opal Vera Gillmore Opal Vera Gillmore, 89, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Jimmy Gillmore of Riverview Baptist Church in Borger and Rocky Gillmore of Crossroads Baptist Church in Woodlands officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Gillmore married Gus Gillmore in 1928. They moved to Amarillo in 1948 from Pampa. He died in 1987. She was a housewife and a Baptist. Survivors include five sons, Fred Gillmore, Phillip Gillmore and Dennis Gillmore, all of Amarillo, Rodney Gillmore of Claude and Jimmy Gillmore of Borger; four daughters, Arlene Gillis, Dolphene Fowler and Debbie Mitchell, all of Amarillo and Betty Hadsell of Lake Stephen, Wash.; two sisters, Olevia Higgenbothem and Juanita Higgins, both of Farmers Branch; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Vasquez Domingo C. Vasquez, 68, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Hector J. Madrigal of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Bailey County Cemetery at Muleshoe with Deacon Hector Gallegos of Our Lady of Guadalupe officiating. Mr. Vasquez was born in Beeville and moved to Muleshoe in 1966. He moved to Canyon in 1985 and to Amarillo in 1995. He worked for the Excel Meat Packing Plant for more than 13 years. He then worked at the Dos Caballeros for three years before retiring. He was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cruz, in 1981. Survivors include three daughters, Lydia Reynero and Yolanda Reyna, both of Amarillo; two sons, Domingo P. Vasquez of Hereford and Ray Vasquez of Amarillo; two brothers, Manuel Vasquez of Canyon and Alfonzo Vasquez of Florida; two sisters, Hila Guiterrez of San Antonio and Teresa Perez of Sinton; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Savvana McKenzie Stallings Savvana McKenzie Stallings, 4month-old infant daughter of Francisco Stallings and Michelle Peek, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. New Mexico Gary Eugene Morgan LOGAN, N.M. - Gary Eugene Morgan, 62, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Logan with the Rev. Dan Pearce, minister of the Logan First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery at Logan by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari, N.M. Mr. Morgan was born in New Brighton, Pa., and had been a resident of the Logan community since 1992. He graduated from high school in Uniontown, Pa. He served 20 years in the Air Force and had been stationed in Japan, Bermuda, Australia and various Air Force bases stateside. He married Barbara in 1977, and they lived in Denver. He began his own business in 1979, Desmand Inc., retiring in 1992. He also was employed for a short time at Furrs Supermarket in Tucumcari and at the TNT Oil Co. in Logan. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Morgan Jr. of Arvada, Colo., and Matthew Morgan of Thornton, Colo.; two daughters, Karen Mallory of Canaan, Conn., and Pattie Harrison of Lakewood, Colo.; his mother, Violet Carpenter Morgan of Uniontown; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Matlock was born in Idaho and had lived in Duck River for 10 years. She was employed as a dietitian for St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband, Billy Matlock; a daughter, Cheryl Rose Clayton of Amarillo; six stepsons, Brian Thomas Matlock, William Henry Matlock, James William Hart, Kevin Michael Hart and Dennis Lawrence Hart, all of Amarillo, and Glen Herbert Matlock of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four stepdaughters, Rosemary Teresa Braswell of Indianapolis, Ind., Carol Marie Webster of San Marcos, Texas, and Cecelia Ann Mata and Maureen Patricia Nichols, both of Amarillo; a brother, Nick Rogers of Los Angeles; two sisters, Irma Dolan of Idaho and Pat Waites of Spokane, Wash.; three half-sisters, Kitty Metcalf, Kelly Metcalf and Mary Metcalf, all of Anchorage, Alaska; and three grandchildren. Area Lucille Ross PAMPA - Lucille Ross, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Darrell W. Evans, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Miss Ross was born in Welch, Okla., and moved to Texas in the 1930s. She had worked as a nurse at hospitals in Amarillo and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a sister, Lucy Johnston of Pampa; and a brother, Frances Ross of Oklahoma City. Travis Harbour Davis SPEARMAN - Travis Harbour Davis, 70, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Beverly Cook, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Spearman, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Beatitudes by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Davis was born in Lamar, Okla., and had lived in Borger from 1929 until 1961 when he moved to Spearman. He served with the Marines in World War II. In Spearman, he established DACO Lease and Well Service. Mr. Davis was president of DACO, Inc., and T.H. Davis Gas Co., and a past director of the Spearman Chamber of Commerce. For his longtime support, he was recognized by the Sheriff's Association of Texas. He also supported the 4-H and FFA. He was a Methodist. He married Elvanna Lackey in 1950 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike T. Davis of Spearman and Glover Don Davis of The Colony; a sister, Mrs. Robert L. Harper of Amarillo; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Presbyterian Church of Spearman, Presbyterian Children's Home on Bowie Street in Amarillo or a favorite charity. Bobby Lawrence Nobles GRUVER - Bobby Lawrence Nobles, 72, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Gruver Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Gumfory, pastor of First Christian Church of Gruver, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Nobles was a native of Union County, N.M., and was a Hansford County resident for 41 years. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He was a cowboy, rancher, salesman, radio announcer and an appliance repairman. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He married Billie Jo Chesser in 1981. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ona Ozzelee "Ben" Nobles. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jim Nobles of Spearman; a daughter, Melinda McCullough of Gruver; two stepdaughters, Becky Freeman and Tammie Osbourne, both of Gruver; a brother, M.W. "Mack" Nobles of Coldwater community; a sister, Louise Anderson of Arkansas; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice, 707 S. Roland, Spearman, TX 79081; or a favorite charity. Clyde Henry LEFORS - Clyde "Tooter" Henry, 82, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Lefors with Elmer McLaughlin, minister of the Laketon Church of Christ, and the Rev. Lewis Ellis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Henry was born in Carnegie, Okla., and moved to Lefors in 1960 from Pampa where he had lived since 1937. He worked on many of the area ranches. He also was the pickup man for the Butler Rodeo Co. and many other rodeo companies. He helped start the White Deer Rodeo. He was a member of Laketon Church of Christ. He married Evelyn Horton in 1989 in Sayre, Okla. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tom Henry of Chino, Calif., Raymond Henry of Lefors and Allen Henry of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Joann Vinyard of Oklahoma City and Polly Smith of Jones, Okla.; a sister, Beulah Melson of Moses Lake, Wash.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreatgrandchildren. Danny Leon Miller Jr. MORTON - Danny Leon Miller Jr., infant son of Danny Leon Miller Sr., and Becky Herald Miller, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Survivors include his parents; two half-brothers, David and Jason of the home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Herald Jr. of Levelland and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Miller of Morton; and his greatgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Herald Sr., of Virginia Beach, Va., and Diane Dietz of Hyannis, Mass. Madeline J. Allcorn OLTON - Madeline J. Allcorn, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church of Olton with the Rev. Norman Patton, pastor, and Kyle Streun, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Allcorn was born in Olton and graduated from Olton High School in 1930. She attended business college in Abilene and returned to Olton from Wichita Falls in 1933. In 1988, Mrs. Allcorn was Olton's Sandhills Celebration Pioneer Lady. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Olton garden and study clubs and the PTA. She married Jack Allcorn in 1931 at Wichita Falls. He died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, R.V. and Gerald Allcorn, both of Olton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Terry Lee Kotara PAMPA - Terry Lee Kotara, 61, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Kotara was born in Pampa and attended Pampa High School. From 1957 until 1961, he was a cryptologist instructor in the Army. He was employed for 20 years as a computer engineer for IBM. He was a past member of the Hyline Flyers Club of Pampa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nona Kotara, in 1984. Survivors include a son, Shane Kotara of Saudi Arabia; a daughter, Tena Dennis of Pampa; his parents, Frances Kotara and Conrad Kotara, both of Pampa; two sisters, Dorma Bray of Dumas and Paulette Jones of Dallas; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice of Amarillo. Maria Luisa Miranda PERRYTON - Maria Luisa Miranda, 27, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mrs. Miranda was born in San Juan De La Veracruz, Mexico and moved to Perryton three years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She married Ismael Miranda in 1994 at Mexico. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Filomeno and Monce Sigala of Mexico; two sisters, Maria Elena Sigala and Luz del Carmen Gardea, both of Mexico; and two brothers, Antonio Sigala and Guadalupe Sigala, both of Mexico. The family suggests memorials be to one's favorite charity. Mary Jane Moon DALHART - Mary Jane Moon, 75, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jerry Sneary, rector, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mrs. Moon was born in Pittston, Pa., and raised in Kearney, N.J. She served in World War II as a Navy WAVE. In 1945, she moved to Dalhart where she was an active member of Dalhart community and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She married Parker Moon in 1945 at San Diego. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve Moon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Chuck Moon of Amarillo; two daughters, Cathy Osterhoudt of Albuquerque, N.M., and Elizabeth Bradley of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
