She moved to Pampa in 1959 from a farm near Canadian. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had been a group leader in Sunday school classes for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Gwendolyn Carver and Mary Ida Puckett, both of Pampa; two brothers, Aubrey Wilson of Commerce and Lewis Lovelace of Corpus Christi; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and six greatgreat-grandchildren. Mr. Worthey was born in Direct and had been a resident of Fritch for 54 years, having moved from Paris, Texas. He was an instrumentation supervisor at Phillips Petroleum Co. and a member of Fritch Assembly of God Church. He married Bernice Taylor in 1945 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Worthey of Fritch and Larry T. Worthey of San Diego; a brother, David Worthey of Paris; four sisters, Louise Thomas, Margie Havins and Doretha Lane, all of Paris, and Elwanda Blackshear of Tigertown; and two grandsons. Mrs. Woolen was born in Milo community in Swisher County. She graduated from Tulia High School in 1921 and lived most of her life in Tulia. During the 1940s, she was bookkeeper for the city of Tulia and later city secretary. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1923. She married William J. "Bill" Woolen in 1921 at Tulia. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Charles Ray Woolen. She is survived by a sister, Ione Kirkland of Payson, Ariz. Private graveside services will be held before the memorial service by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Farris was born and raised in Floydada where he attended school and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and served in the chemical unit of the 60th Air Depot Division in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. Main St. Mr. Holmes was born in Sampson, N.M., and had spent most of his life in Roy and Tucumcari, N.M. He was a heavy machinery operator for the New Mexico State Highway Department and member of Worldwide Church of God. He moved to Vega four years ago. He married Dorothy Green in 1949 at Raton, N.M. He moved to Friona in 1937 from Memphis. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Stowers retired as owner of Stowers Ditching in 1978. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Calvary Baptist Church. His first marriage was to Katie Stevick in 1945. She died in 1974. His second marriage was to Hazel L. Guinn in 1976 at Friona. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born in Hominy, Okla. In 1957, he graduated from East Central State College. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the House Company, 160th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He was honored with the Combat Infantryman's Badge, National Defense, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Silver Star and the Korean Congressional Medal of Honor. During his coaching career, Mr. Wilson taught at three colleges and several high schools in Oklahoma and Texas. He also coached in the World Football League, Canadian Football League, NFL European League and was a scouting coordinator in the NFL. In 1965, he served on the rules committee of the American Coaches Association. Mr. Wilson moved to Canadian from White Deer in 1985. He coached at Canadian High School from 1985 until 1990. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Texas High School Coaches Association and American High School Coaches Association. He married Marilyn Jean Moore in 1959 at Sand Springs, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Valerie DeMarco of Tulsa; four sons, Sean Wilson of Carrollton, Trent Wilson of Kress, Drew Wilson of Tulsa and Wade Wilson of Barnsdall, Okla.; a brother, Paul Wilson of Muskogee, Okla.; and 10 grandchildren. She was a Gold Star Mother and spokesperson for the United Way at Jan Werner Adult Day Care. She was a member of Northridge Church of Christ and a homemaker. She married Dave Littlejohn in 1927. He worked for Poole Chemical Co. in Texline for the past six months. He married Angie Kay Ballard in 1994 at Tulia. Denzil A. Wyckoff CLOVIS, N.M. - Denzil A. Wyckoff, 83, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Skip Clark officiating. Mr. Wyckoff was born in Kerrville. He had lived in Roswell, N.M., for 38 years before moving to Clovis recently. He taught science and math in high school for 17 years. He was a chemist in the Potash Mines in Carlsbad, N.M., and served nine years as a warrant officer in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Wyckoff was a member of First Baptist Church in Roswell. Survivors include his wife, Billye Wyckoff; a daughter, Christy Van Hoose of Clovis; a son, Denny Wyckoff of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Juanita Groves, Wynona Ellison and Willie De Ramus, all of Brady; and two grandchildren. Frank Edgar Dillon CLOVIS, N.M. - Frank Edgar Dillon, 79, died Friday, June 12, 1998. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Cremation and arrangements were by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Dillon was born in Keswick, Iowa. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943, served for three years and moved to Clovis in 1954. He received his bachelor of arts degree in social studies from Penn State College and his master of arts degree from the University of Iowa. Mr. Dillon was an educator who worked in Iowa for 13 years and in Clovis for 26 years. He was an assistant principal at Clovis High School and taught at Gattis Junior High. He was a member of Central Christian Church. He married Cavita Filipi in 1940 at Nashua, Iowa. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Childers of Santa Fe; a brother, Robert Dillon of Leavenworth, Wash.; a sister, Gladys Tracey of Moses Lake, Wash.; and two grandsons. Ms. Christopher attended the Guymon school system, graduating in 1990. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She earned a bachelor's degree in 1994 and a master's degree in 1997 from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where she was a member of Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi sorority and ASHA. Ms. Christopher had been a speech and language pathologist since June 1997 for Community Rehabilitation Services Inc. in Fort Worth. Arrangements are by Cunningham Funeral Home in Achille. Mr. Cheatham was born in Amarillo and had lived in Bryan County since 1968. He attended school in Lawton. He had served in the Marines and Air Force then became a self-employed brick mason. He was most recently employed by CRG Construction in Lubbock, Texas. He married Hope Denise Blankenship in 1982 at Lawton. Survivors include his wife; a son, Chester Lee Cheatham of Bokchito; two daughters, Katie Louise Cheatham of Fort Worth, Texas, and Melissa Dawn Cheatham of Achille; his mother, Shirley Mann of Achille; a sister, Robbie Rumley of Palestine, Texas; and his grandmother, Velma King of Amarillo.
