Palo Duro St., died Tuesday, March 10, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. G.A. Roach, director of pastoral care at Northwest Texas Hospital, and the Rev. Sherman Eastland, chaplain at Northwest Texas Hospital, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Miss Horn was born in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo College School of Nursing as a licensed vocational nurse. She lived in Fort Worth for 10 years before returning to Amarillo in 1981. She had worked at Northwest Texas Hospital for 13 years. She attended Southwest Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Frieda Shidaker of Amarillo. The family will be at 2120 Pioneer Lane. They request memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Billy Ray Branch Billy Ray "Bill" Branch, 61, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Valleyview Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Branch was born in Roxton. He moved to Amarillo in 1956 from Wellington. He was a technician for the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years before retiring in 1992. He served on the board of directors for the Amarillo Postal Employees Credit Union. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Branch married Johnnie Lou Baird in 1955 at Wellington. Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Branch of Amarillo; two daughters, Diann Wright and Mary Moore, both of Amarillo; his father, J.L. Branch of Amarillo; three brothers, Don Branch, James Branch and Gary Branch, all of Amarillo; a sister, Novelle Hamilton of Panhandle; and five grandchildren. She was a seamstress and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She married Rex M. Gamblin in 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband and by a son, Sam Gamblin. Survivors include a son, Gene Gamblin of Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Dixie Banes of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. William E. Penn William E. Penn, 84, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in N.S. He retired from Carbon Black Industry in 1972 after 25 years of service. He then began working for Cimarron Feeders at Griggs, Okla., and retired from them in 1986. Mr. Penn moved to Amarillo from Texhoma, Okla., in 1992. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hobbs, N.M., where he had been presented with his 50-year pin. He was Methodist. He married Clara Graham in 1937 at Oklahoma. She died in 1983. He married Ethelyn Brown in 1985 at Stratford. She died in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Cherie "Penny" Plunk and Linda "Dodie" Korell, both of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Linda Roberts of Texhoma and Charla Huse of Gatesville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Vivian C. McPherson Vivian C. McPherson, 67, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. David Evans of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. McPherson was born in Ontario, Ore. She had lived in Amarillo since 1963. She owned and operated Valley Cafe for 20 years. She married David M. McPherson in 1985 at Reno, Nev. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Donna Black of Bristol, Tenn., Pam Kenyon of Gaston, S.C., and Judy Merker of Amarillo; three sons, Dennis Hunt and Bruce Hunt, both of Amarillo, and Mike Hunt of Pampa; four sisters, Kathryn Benintendi of Baker, Ore., Darlene Lane of Fruitland, Idaho, and JoAnn Stovern and Mary Lee Burgess, both of Ontario; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Earl Wesley Lewis GUYMON, Okla. - Earl Wesley Lewis, 89, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Lothman, pastor of Living Word Fellowship, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Lewis was born in Greenwood County, Kan. He homesteaded with his family to the Hough community, where he had farmed most of his life. He married Emey Mae Ratliff. He worked as a mechanic at the Chevrolet garage and later in road maintenance for the Texas County Highway Department. He retired in 1982. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Guymon. Mr. Lewis married Marie Behne in 1950. She died in 1995. Survivors include two adopted daughters, Lois Horn and Lucille O'Dell; and three sisters, Ethel Carlson of Clifton, Kan., Beaulah Laird of Tulsa and Anne Doebbling of Ness City, Kan. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Rowe Cemetery at Hedley. Mrs. Adcock was born in Gainesville. She retired as an LVN. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Bill Adcock in 1932 at Stinnett. He died in 1951. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jack E. Adcock, in 1989. Survivors include a son, David Adcock of Stephenville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Corinne Ethel Reagan LUBBOCK - Corinne Ethel Reagan, 95, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Amarillo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Resthaven Funeral Home. Mrs. Reagan was born in Shiner. She moved to Lubbock in 1960 from Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monterey Church of Christ. She married Olin Reagan in 1918. He died in 1956. Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Reagan Kelsey of Lubbock; a sister, Bernice Boyd of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a brother, James Culpepper of Pampa; and two granddaughters. The family requests memorials be to Second Baptist Church's Sick Children's Clinic, 5300 Elgin, Lubbock, Texas 79413. Ricki Coffman MORTON - Ricki Coffman, 51, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Buddy Payne, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Post, officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Coffman was born in Lubbock and had lived in Morton most of his life. He was a 1968 graduate of Texas Tech University. He received his master's degree from Texas A&M University with a degree in animal science. He was a farmer. He served with the Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. Mr. Coffman married Mary Gard in 1973 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Brandy Reed of Shallowater and Shiloh Coffman of Morton; and a brother, Gary Coffman of St. Louis. The family requests memorials be to Hospice of Lubbock, 4314 S. Loop 289, Lubbock, Texas 79413; or a favorite charity. Area Ora Bell FARWELL - Ora Bell, 91, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, N.M., with the Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Mrs. Bell was born in Beaver County. She began work at the Mountain States Telephone Co. in Las Vegas, N.M., in 1927. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She married Clarence L. Bell in 1928 at Mora, N.M. They moved to Clovis in 1934. Survivors include two sons, Donald Bell and Derrell Bell, both of Clovis; a sister, Elizabeth Hatcher of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The family will be at 400 Calhoun. Juanita Gilbreath PLAINVIEW - Juanita "Nita" Gilbreath, 77, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Mrs. Gilbreath was born in Tipton, Okla. She grew up and attended schools in Rush Springs, Okla. She was a nurse in the Armed Forces. She moved to Plainview in 1954. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She also was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. She married Marvin Lee Gilbreath in 1939 at Prescott, Ariz. He died in 1966. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Beavers of Plainview; a son, Mike Gilbreath of Plainview; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Willie Cannon BORGER - Willie Cannon, 66, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Holland, pastor of First Christian Church of Stinnett, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Cannon was born in Hollis, Okla. He was a former Borger resident and returned to Borger a year ago, moving from Elmwood, Okla. He served with the Air Force during the Korean War. He was Baptist. Mr. Cannon married Nita Bowen in 1951. He was preceded in death by two sons. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Willie Cannon and Roger Cannon, both of Borger; two daughters, Mervetta Lemon of Stinnett and Shuri Wagner of Liberal, Kan.; his mother; a brother; three sisters; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Catherine Hall PAMPA - Catherine Hall, 73, died Monday, March 9, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Scott Richards, pastor of United Methodist Church of Follett, officiating. Mrs. Hall was born near Laketon in Gray County and was raised in Spearman. She graduated from Spearman High School in 1943. She had lived in Pampa since 1954. She worked for Sand's Fabrics for many years and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She married Zane Hall in 1947 at Spearman. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cathy Ballard of Borger and Aleta Jackson of Spearman; three sisters, Elizabeth Carr of Amarillo, Virginia Head of Spearman and Frankie Sloan of Breckenridge; two brothers, Kiffie White of Borger and Tommie White of Greenville; seven grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the St. Paul United Methodist Church building fund; the Pampa Sheltered Workshop; or Olivia's Angels at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center in Amarillo. Inez Cate PADUCAH - Inez Cate, 89, a former Paducah resident, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in Arlington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ with Clyde Freeman, retired Church of Christ minister, and Eddie Chance of Crestview Church of Christ in Waco officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Cate was born in Midland. She married Jamie Frank Cate in 1925 at Paducah. She moved by covered wagon to Cottle County in 1913. She settled near the Chalk community, where she and her husband were engaged in farming. After retiring, they moved to Paducah in 1982. They moved from Paducah to Arlington in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington. Mrs. Cate was preceded in death by her husband in 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Jones of Arlington; a brother, Alton Wells of El Paso; a sister, Almita Burks of Dodge City, Kan.; three grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
