There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Cremation and arrangements were by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Dillon was born in Keswick, Iowa. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943, served for three years and moved to Clovis in 1954. He received his bachelor of arts degree in social studies from Penn State College and his master of arts degree from the University of Iowa. Mr. Dillon was an educator who worked in Iowa for 13 years and in Clovis for 26 years. He was an assistant principal at Clovis High School and taught at Gattis Junior High. He was a member of Central Christian Church. He married Cavita Filipi in 1940 at Nashua, Iowa. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Childers of Santa Fe; a brother, Robert Dillon of Leavenworth, Wash.; a sister, Gladys Tracey of Moses Lake, Wash.; and two grandsons. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Keener was born in Chatsworth, Ga. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He moved north of Clovis in 1962 where he farmed until 1992. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories. Mrs. Smelley was born in Childress, Texas and had been a Clovis resident since 1955. She was Baptist. She married Archie Smelley in 1936 at Portales. Paul Heisch CONTINENTAL DIVIDE, N.M. - Paul "Cotton" Heisch, 75, died Thursday, June 11, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Portales Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Heniger officiating. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales. Mr. Heisch was born in Duncan, Okla., and moved to Torrence County, in 1931. He attended school in Corona then completed high school in Hatfield, Ark. The family returned to Corona before World War II when he served in the Army in England and Germany. After the war, he moved to Portales where he ran a dairy with his brother. Mr. Heisch was employed as a driller on oil wells in the Artesia area and the Bahamas. He moved to Continental Divide where he was a pipe fitter for Shell Oil and later for Giant Oil Refinery until his retirement. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3299 of Portales. He married Billie Joe Newman in 1948 at Portales. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dick Heisch of Albuquerque and Rick Heisch of Continental Divide; five sisters, Loyce Bachman of Colorado Springs, Colo., Leta Sharp of Corona, Joyce Shokley of Denver, Doris Smith of Hobbs and Judy Williams of Portales; two brothers, Henry D. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Ramsey was born in Ada, Okla., and lived in Amarillo before moving to Clovis. He was a veteran of the Army and worked at North American Aviation during World War II. Mr. Ramsey received his degree as a chiropractor and joined his sister in her practice. He served as her X-ray technician. He was a farmer, real estate agent and managed the Ramsey Hotel until his retirement. He married Virginia Kirkpatric in 1939. She died in 1963. Survivors include six daughters, Rosalie Fallis, Teresa Rowe and Marge Davis, all of Clovis, Andra Higa of Hawaii, Liz Ramsey of Albuquerque and Mary Mathwich of Utah; three sons, George Ramsey of Fort Worth, Robert Ramsey of El Paso and John Ramsey of Clovis; a sister, Dr. Catherine R. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the House Company, 160th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He was honored with the Combat Infantryman's Badge, National Defense, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Silver Star and the Korean Congressional Medal of Honor. During his coaching career, Mr. Wilson taught at three colleges and several high schools in Oklahoma and Texas. He also coached in the World Football League, Canadian Football League, NFL European League and was a scouting coordinator in the NFL. In 1965, he served on the rules committee of the American Coaches Association. Mr. Wilson moved to Canadian from White Deer in 1985. He coached at Canadian High School from 1985 until 1990. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Texas High School Coaches Association and American High School Coaches Association. He married Marilyn Jean Moore in 1959 at Sand Springs, Okla. She was recently elected chairman of the board of the First Christian Church in Roswell. She married Bill Pope in 1952 at Plainview. She moved to Plainview in 1959 and worked at Pioneer Cafe as a fry cook. Mrs. Rodriguez was employed by Nu Griddle then was a nurses aide at Hale Center Hospital. She was a housekeeper for Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Kirchoff and for David Mitchell. She was a cook for the Plainview Country Club for five years and worked with her family in the fields during the summers. She married Jose Rodriguez in 1974 at Plainview. Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Leonor Mireles-Braswell of Corpus Christi, Adelicia L.
