The family is planning a private memorial service. Mrs. Hamer was born in the Bronx, N.Y. She had been employed as a secretary for a retail department store. Survivors include her husband, William Hamer; a son, Bob Hamer of Hereford; two daughters, Dorothy Melton of Plano and Susan Johnson of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be to a favorite charity. Edd Anderson CHILDRESS - Edd Anderson, 88, died Saturday, June 13, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m today in Fairview Church of Christ with Mike Suiter of Clarendon officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mr. Anderson was born in Texola, Okla. He was a farmer. He married Marie McJunkins in 1935 at Hollis, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Harley Anderson, in 1975. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack Anderson of Marlow, Okla.; a daughter, Ilene Sims of Elephant Butte, N.M.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Amarillo Arvel Grussendorf Arvel Grussendorf, 71, of Amarillo, died Saturday, June 13, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Robert Field of Southeast Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Childress Cemetery. Mr. Grussendorf was born in Childress and had been an Amarillo resident since 1945. He had been a member of Calvary Gospel Tabernacle for 15 years. Survivors include a sister, Bernice Holdeman of Muleshoe, and numerous nieces and nephews. Oklahoma Marilyn Jean Jones BEAVER, Okla. - Marilyn Jean Jones, 58, died Thursday, June 11, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Forgan Cemetery with Craid Vandeburgh officiating. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mrs. Jones was born in Prattford, Neb. She was a homemaker and 40-year resident of Beaver County. She married T.C. Jones in 1957 at Guthrie. He died in December. Survivors include a son, Chad Eric Jones of Beaver; a daughter, Robin Rigdon of Pauls Valley; four sisters; four brothers; and a grandchild.
