They moved to the Spade Community in 1947, then to Littlefield in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of the Spade Community. Jose Herrera PLAINVIEW - Jose Armando Herrera, 39, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. He married Maria Flores in 1980 in El Paso. He had lived in Plainview since 1980. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christina Herrera and Mida Herrera, both of Plainview; four sons, Armando Herrera, Ricardo Herrera, Noe Herrera and Israel Herrera, all of Plainview; and two sisters, Norma Villa of Mexico and Elbia Villa of Sudan. Don Saine FRITCH - Don L. Saine, 75, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998. Graveside service was Saturday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett. Arrangements were by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Saine was born in Bristow, Okla., and had lived in the Fritch area for 17 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a retired shift supervisor at Phillips Petroleum Co. He married Dorothy Hayes in 1944 in Phillips. He was a recipient of the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters and a Presidential Citation. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Borger. Mr. Saine was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Gail Saine in 1973. He then owned the Red, White Grocery Store in Ropesville until 1952, when he returned to teaching. He retired from the Ropesville Independent School District. He married Dorcey Veal in 1974 in Amarillo. He was a philanthropist, establishing the Alcohol Recovery Center of Amarillo, and was active in supporting programs for drug and alcohol rehabilitation. She worked as a secretary for the Clovis Public Schools and had worked as a secretary at Cameo Elementary School until retiring in 1978. She also served as a Linotype operator for the Clovis News Journal. Mrs. Snipes was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; and a son, R.G. Snipes in 1956. Survivors include a son, Buddy Snipes of Clovis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Thelma Dosher CLOVIS, N.M. - Thelma Dosher, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parkland Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Brooks, Dr. Herbert Bergstrom and the Rev. Jimmy McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Dosher was born in Elida. She worked as a cook for the Texico schools and was a singer for a radio show in Vernon, Texas. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and a charter member of First Baptist Church of Farwell, Texas, Texico and Tipton, Okla. Survivors include five daughters, Carmelita Holland of Albuquerque, Marilyn Sandi of Santa Ana, Calif., Shirley Patteson of Fairport, N.Y., Darla Stanley of Atwater, Calif., and Joyce McGuire of Lubbock, Texas; four sons, Frank Dosher Jr. of Clovis, Preston Dosher of Joplin, Mo., and Harold Dosher and Lanny Dosher, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Ruby Bledsoe of Hot Springs, Ark., Nadine Harris of Weatherford, Texas, and Jo Elen Badger of Houston; 31 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Jack George TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Jackie Neal "Jack" George, 71, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Joe George Jernigan and Donnie J. George officiating. Burial will follow in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. George was born in Wheeler County, Texas, and was raised in Dimmitt, Texas. He had lived in Tucumcari for 25 years. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a farmer, rancher, real estate broker and home builder. He owned and operated George Real Estate. Survivors include his wife, Mary Chollis George; two daughters, Nancy English of Tucumcari and Jacquie Tyer of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Jimmie George of Dimmitt; and four grandchildren.
