Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Norris, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. McAlister was born in Childress and had lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She married N.E. "Mac" McAlister in 1965 in Amarillo. He died in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Vera Huddleston of Amarillo; three sons, Eddie Kitchens of Dumas and Joe Kitchens and Darryl McAlister, both of Amarillo; a special friend, Glenda McAlister of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 934 Dahlia and requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center or Immanuel Baptist Church. Austin Loy Rice Austin Loy Rice, 9, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Regi Fowler of the church officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Austin was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a fourth-grade student at Windsor Elementary School where he was in the Gifted and Talented Program. He had been a Windsor student since kindergarten. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Loy and Nan Rice of Amarillo; his mother, Dawn Rice of Amarillo; his brother, Kaleb Rice of the home; and his grandparents, Roseanne Rice of Hale Center, Don and Dorothy Cavasos of Moriarty, N.M., and Charlie and Dorothy Hammons of Pampa. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity in Austin's name. E.G. Glasgow E.G. "Abe" Glasgow, 83, of Amarillo, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Jerry Davey, pastor of Pleasant Valley Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Glasgow was born in Carter, Okla. He served as a communications technician on a B-17 bomber from 1942 until 1945 in the Army Air Corps. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. Mr. Glasgow moved to Amarillo in 1951. From 1951 until his retirement in 1981, he was a radio and television technician. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church. He married Bessie Mae Johnson in 1935 at Shamrock. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis Glasgow of Hobbs, N.M., and Larry Glasgow of Houston; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Waynie F. Wilson-Brown Waynie F. Wilson-Brown, 101, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Murray Gossett, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Wilson-Brown was born in Welder to a pioneer Gonzales County family. She had lived in Amarillo since the early 1920s. She attended Texas Woman's University, then CIA Girls' School. She served as a dorm mother for the freshmen dorm at Southern Methodist University and was a camp counselor at Camp Mystic in Kerrville. A longtime civic leader, Mrs. WilsonBrown was a member of the committee that determined the site of the Girl Scout camp in Amarillo. She was a 70-year member of First Presbyterian Church where she was active in youth organizations and with the youth group. Until her late '80s, she was a tournament bridge player. She married H. Grady Wilson in 1916 at San Antonio. He died in 1952. Survivors include four nieces, Mrs. Fred W. Dodson, Patricia Dodson Brown, and Frederica Anderson, all of Amarillo, and Janet Webber of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews. Janelda Burleson Janelda Burleson, 61, of Austin and a former Amarillo resident, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with the Rev. F.M. Byford of Paramount Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Burleson was born in Kenefic, Okla., and was a longtime Amarillo resident. She was a registered nurse at Northwest Texas Hospital, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and retired from the Bill Clements unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She attended Paramount Baptist Church. In 1995, she moved to Austin. Survivors include two sons, Toby Burleson of Austin and Greg Burleson of Kuna, Idaho; her mother, Charlene Airington of Pittsburg; a sister, Rosena Yeager of Sidney, Mont.; a brother, Everett Airington of Dallas; and a granddaughter. The family requests memorials be to the American Diabetes Foundation. New Mexico Charlotte Rackley TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Charlotte Rackley, 80, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Chama Baptist Church at Chama. Burial will be in the family plot of the Chama Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Rackley was born in Jamestown, N.D., and had been a resident of the Tucumcari area since 1933. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rackley, in 1988. Survivors include four sons, Wayne Clark of Tucumcari, Delroy Clark of Anchorage, Alaska, Daymon Rackley of Clovis and Bill Rackley of Orland, Calif.; two daughters, Terry Sue Sharp of Anchorage and Hazel Moore of Auburn, Calif.; and four grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until Wednesday when the body will be taken to Chama for services. Elsewhere Bruce Taggart Brown KIZER, Ore. - Bruce Taggart Brown, 84, a former Hereford resident, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kizer. Burial will be in Park Hills Cemetery in Vancouver, Wash., by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service of Salem. Mr. Brown was born in Pocatello, Idaho. He moved to Salem from Hereford, Texas, in 1977. For 40 years, he was employed by Holly Sugar Corp., where he was plant manager over beet sugar production and an international beet sugar technologist. He was a member of Rotary International and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Frances Brown in 1945 at Vancouver. Survivors include his wife; a son, Brent L. Brown of Tucson, Ariz., a brother, T.C. Brown of Georgetown, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Abilene with Dr. Tom Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory in Abilene. Mrs. Wylie-Wright was born in Vernon and moved to Abilene from Lubbock in 1977. She was the president of Wylie, Inc., for 26 years. She was a Presbyterian. She married Benjamin F. Wright in 1990 at Abilene. Her first marriage was to Marvin Edward "M.E." Wylie who died in 1987. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Robert Edward Doyal of Lubbock, Coyt Louis Mangum of Galveston, James Michael Mangum of Longmont, Colo., Rickey Paul Mangum of Abilene and Marvin Edward Wylie of Austin; a brother, Thomas Coyt Webb of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Oklahoma Claude James Frazee ELMWOOD, Okla. - Claude James Frazee, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Balko Apostolic Faith Church with Edwin Waterbury and Jim Fox officiating. Burial will be in Capital View Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mr. Frazee was born in Beaver County and graduated from high school at Balko. He was a farmer. He married Fern Marie Ware in 1941 at Meade, Kan. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Weber Frazee of Oroville, Calif.; and a sister, Flora M. Barragree of Wichita, Kan. Canyon Billie Price Billie Price, 80, of Lubbock, formerly of Canyon, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Dreamland Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Ms. Price was born in Oklahoma. She lived in Canyon from 1918 until 1937 where she graduated from high school in 1935. She attended West Texas State College then moved to Fort Worth where she attended Draughon's Business College. She worked as a legal secretary in Fort Worth and Houston. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Braden of Lubbock. Area Margaret Riley Sparkman PAMPA - Margaret Riley Sparkman, 71, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Sparkman was born in Dexter, Cooke County. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from North Texas State University at Denton. She was a longtime teacher in the Pampa public schools. She was a member and elder in the First Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Friends of the Library, was a member of the Pampa Retired Teachers Association and Kappa Iota, a professional teaching organization. She served on the board of the Pampa Library Foundation, the Texas Panhandle Library System and the Pampa Area Literacy Council, where she was a tutor and tutor trainer for many years. Survivors include her husband, Roy; a daughter, Carol S. Peters of Plano; her mother, Florence Riley of Gainesville; two sisters, Kathryn Hunter of Gainesville and Sue Camp of Carrollton; three brothers, Bill Riley of Gainesville and E.J. "Sonny" Riley and Roy W. "Skeeze" Riley, both of Gruver; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Evans was born in Wingate, Ariz. She moved to Hereford 27 years ago from Fort Worth. She married Hoyt C. Evans in 1947 at Aztec, N.M. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph "Joe" Evans, in February. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Terry Evans and Robert Evans, both of Clovis, and Marvin Evans of Perryton; a daughter, Sharon K. Evans of Belen, N.M.; and a brother, Frank Tate of Mancos, Colo. The family requests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Affiliates. L.D. Young TULIA - L.D. Young, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church of Tulia with the Rev. James Willborn, pastor, and the Rev. Ernie McGaughey, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mr. Young was born in Swisher County and graduated from Tulia High School in 1927. He then attended business college in Amarillo. He was a farmer and rancher who also was a Swisher County Commissioner for six years, on the Swisher County Electric Board for 12 years and on the ASCS board for many years. Mr. Young was a member of the First Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board and was in the Arminta Sunday School Class. For 30 years, he was an adult 4-H leader and was named Outstanding State 4-H Leader. He also was on the board of directors of Swisher County Activity Association and school trustee at Alexanders School. He married Annie Lindemann in 1935 at Clovis, N.M. She preceded him in death in 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Carter of Sundown and Judine Wilks of Tulia; three sons, Boyd Young of Tulia, Stanley Young of Lubbock and Melvin Young of Tempe, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Patricia Ann Black Hudson BRISCOE - Patricia Ann Black Hudson, 54, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Wheeler with the Rev. Aaron Laverty, pastor of Gageby Baptist Church, and Phil Payne of Midland officiating. Burial will be in Gageby Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Hudson was born in Pampa and attended school in Wheeler. A homemaker, she was employed by Safeway for 15 years. She was a member of the Texas Home Extension Club for 10 years. In 1995 she and her husband returned to the Briscoe community where she was employed by the U.S. Census Bureau. She was a member of Gageby Baptist Church. She married Ray Hudson in 1960 at Wheeler. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, EzSonya Hudson, LuCinda Sweet and Cheryl Ann Hudson, all of Amarillo; two sons, Brady Lester Hudson of Ripley, Okla., and Rodney Wayne Hudson of Levelland; a sister, Mary Jones of Wheeler; and 10 grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the scholarship fund at Fort Elliott School in Briscoe. Margie L. Moore MULESHOE - Margie L. Moore, 72, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church of Muleshoe with the Rev. Brad Reeves, pastor, and Curtis Shelburne, minister of 16th & Avenue D Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Ms. Moore was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. She graduated from Happy High School in 1942 and moved to Muleshoe that same year. She received her bachelor of arts degree in 1945 and her master of education in 1951 from Texas Tech University. Ms. Moore taught English for 35 years at Brownfield High School, Sweetwater High School, Muleshoe High School, five years at Post High School and 24 years at Mathews Junior High School in Lubbock. She was a member of Texas Retired Teachers Association, NEA, Retired Teacher Association of the Muleshoe area, AARP and the Open Heart Club of the Southwest. Survivors include an aunt, Elizabeth Brown of Altus, Okla.; and three cousins, Douglas Brown, Deanna Mason and Tamara Wagoner. The family suggests memorials be to William D., Pearl and Margie L. Annie Mae Randolph QUANAH - Annie Mae Randolph, 90, of Oklahoma City, a former longtime Quanah resident, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ of Quanah with Lyndal Werner officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Randolph was born in Fort Towson, Okla., and had lived in Quanah since 1953. She was a homemaker and member of the Eastern Star and the Church of Christ. She married Dan Randolph in 1935 at Fredrick, Okla. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Shaw and Ella Wagner, both of Oklahoma City, and Bobbie Randle of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Daniel Randolph and Johnny Randolph, both of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Emma Lee Williams and Mary Lee Burris, both of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren; 50 greatgrandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
