Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field of Southeast Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Cowley was born in Little Rock, Ark. She had been an Amarillo resident for the past 48 years. She retired as librarian for the city of Amarillo. Survivors include a cousin, Martin Coyner of Abilene. Eldon Beer Eldon Beer, 81, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. F.M. Byford of Paramount Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Beer was born in Ardmore, Okla., and lived most of his life in Amarillo. He owned Beer's Marine Supply for many years. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. He married Amy Lee Dunn in 1963 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Beer of Oakwood; a stepson, Dr. J.W. Dunn of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Loreta Moore Loreta Moore, 77, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in South Georgia Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Green of Bolton Street Baptist Church and the Rev. Robert Field of South Eastern Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Levelland City Cemetery in Levelland by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Moore was born in Hollis, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1976 from Levelland. She was a homemaker and member of South Georgia Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morgan Rust, in 1975, and by her second husband, Albert Moore, in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Wesley F. Rust of Fort Worth and Danny Duane Rust of Levelland; a daughter, Jeanette Green of Amarillo; two brothers, A.W. Smith of Levelland and Dale Smith of Fort Worth; five sisters, Juanita Scribner of Levelland, Lena Kellison of Hollis, Wanda Davis of Blair, Okla., and Geneva Presley and Faye Cosby, both of Fort Worth; three stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mildred Sweet Mildred Sweet, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998. She moved here from Pampa. She was a homemaker and member of Second Baptist Church. She worked with the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orion Sweet, in 1960. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Sweet of Amarillo, David Sweet of Conroe and Ronald Sweet of Sugar Land; a brother, Robert Gilliland of Thermopolis, Wyo.; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. She was a homemaker and retired beautician. She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. She married J.R. Lundegreen in 1938 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a son, Ralph E. Lundegreen of Amarillo; and two sisters, Sylvia Lundegreen of Amarillo and Wilma Majors of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Imogene Duke Imogene Duke, 68, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Fritch. Mrs. Duke moved to Amarillo from Sanford 48 years ago. She had been a clerk for Toot'n Totem for many years. She was a Protestant. Survivors include three sisters, Pauline Packebush and Corinne Lancaster, both of Amarillo, and Helen Williams of Sanford. The family will be at 2008 Walker Dr. William G. Jordan William G. Jordan, 70, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. James E. Garrett, senior minister of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Mr. Jordan was born in Tulia and had been a longtime resident of Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School and attended the University of New Mexico. He was a veteran of the Army. Mr. Jordan retired from Diamond Shamrock then was a part-time employee of the Postal Service. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Betty Ann Craft in 1959 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Blake Jordan of Amarillo; and two sisters, Barbara Caldwell of Amarillo and Martha Beyer of Hot Springs Village, Ark. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Oklahoma Ellen Haley Williams TULSA, Okla. - Ellen Haley Williams, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Monsignor Kevin Hand, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mass was at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa. Tulsa arrangements were by Ninde Funeral Directors. Mrs. Williams was born in Okmulgee, Okla. She graduated from St. Mary's College and worked for many years as a medical laboratory technologist. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Williams of Tulsa; two sons, Roger Frederick Williams Jr. of Oklahoma City and Peter Haley Williams of Tulsa; and a brother, William John Haley Jr. of Pampa. The body will not be available for viewing. Area Sandra Jo Mooring CLARENDON - Sandra Jo Mooring, 63, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mooring was born in Clarendon and lived there most of her life. She lived in El Paso and Amarillo from 1954 until 1961. She owned Donley County Abstract Co., founded by her grandparents, before selling it in the early 1980s. In 1994, she retired after 27 years as secretary for the Greenbelt Water Authority. Mrs. Mooring was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was a member more than 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Arlis D. Mooring in 1952 at Clarendon. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Kent Mooring, in 1979. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Stacy Mooring of Ada, Okla.; a son, Ricky Mooring of Stillwater, Okla.; and a granddaughter. Irvin Franklin Lee PLAINVIEW - Irvin Franklin Lee, 74, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Dennis Williams of First Baptist Church of Lorenzo and Alvin Petty of First Baptist Church of Halfway officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lee was born in Maverick. He graduated from Norton High School and moved to Halfway in 1947. He was a farmer who owned Irvin Lee Vegetables, Inc. Mr. Lee was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Mayfield Bassero Board and the First Baptist Church. He was president of the board of directors of the Mayfield Coop. He married Jean Doris Davidson in 1944 at Ballinger. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Anna Laura Denison and Linda Jean Barton, both of Halfway, and Patricia Lee Tune of Lubbock; two sisters, Ona May Ballard of Dallas and Lela Maude Burson of San Angelo; a brother, Bailey Glenn Lee of Maverick; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
