Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Taylor, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of Tulsa, and the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Ormon was born in Lockney and moved to Borger in 1937. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was former manager of White's Auto, owner of Shepmon Builders Supply, owner of Cathey-Ormon Wholesale in Lubbock and founder of Citizens Savings and Loan. Mr. Ormon was a member and a deacon of First Baptist Church. He was a 50year member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355. He married Margaret Ormon in 1939 at Gruver. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dick Ormon of Colleyville and Dr. Ken Ormon of Flagstaff; a daughter, Mary Pat Knight of Borger; a brother, Rex Ormon of Clovis, N.M.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. William Kinslow PAMPA - William "Pete" Kinslow, 65, died Thursday, July 16, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Teeter, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Kinslow was born in Paris, Texas, and was raised in Tulia. He moved to Pampa in 1964. He worked as a heavy-equipment operator and mechanic with Lewis Construction Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1992. He married Malenda Faye Durham in 1954 at Crowell. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Belinda Nolte and Vickie Long, both of Pampa; a son, Jerry Kinslow of Happy; his father, Bobby Kinslow of Tulia; two sisters, Ellen Airehart and Cordie Johnston, both of Tulia; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She lived in Quanah from 1960 until 1984 when she moved to Austin. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Lauderdale, Fla. Dorothy C. Stephens PAMPA - Dorothy C. Stephens, 74, died Thursday, July 16, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Stephens was born in Memphis and moved to Pampa in 1957 from Plainview. She retired in 1984 after 22 years as a dental assistant for Dr. Joe Pieratt. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Don R. Stephens in 1942 at Memphis. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Judy Riley of Pampa; two sons, Roy Don Stephens of Pampa and Larry V. Stephens of Plano; two sisters, Jerri Sears of Austin and Irene Vehon of Dallas; four brothers, C.B. Francis of Austin, Jim Francis of Birmingham, Ala., Doug Francis of Garland and Joe L. Pearl Thomas DARROUZETT - Pearl Thomas, 89, died Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in Nocona. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Darrouzett Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Back officiating. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mrs. Thomas grew up in the Holliday area. With her husband, she lived in various places until moving to Darrouzett in 1967. She moved to Nocona after the death of her husband. She married Leslie Harvey Thomas in 1927 at Electra. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by a son, Harvey. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Thomas of Nocona and Jackie Thomas of Cushing; two daughters, Ruth Bowling of Darrouzett and Jean Williams of Texas City; a brother, George Bates of Decatur; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild. Amarillo James M. Foster James M. Foster, 57, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 15, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Westview Christian Church with Charles Waugh, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Foster was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School and attended West Texas State University and Amarillo College, where he majored in drafting and business. He joined the Army in 1962 and served in the Vietnam War. He lived in Topeka, Kan., from 1977 until 1990 and in Kansas City, Mo., from 1990 until 1996. He returned to Amarillo in 1996. He retired from Santa Fe Railway in 1995, where he was a circuit engineer. He married Pat Cowell in 1973 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Baker of Minneola, Kan.; a daughter, Michelle Baker of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Tom Foster of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Lee Sheehan Lee Sheehan, 77, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in the Clairmont Retirement Residence, 4707 Bell St., with the Rev. Murry Brewer officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Cremation was by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors. Mr. Sheehan was born in Corsicana and had lived in Texas all his life. He was associated with the War Department during World War II. He served as chief storekeeper with 625 employees in five departments. He was stationed at the Fort Worth Quartermaster Depot. He married Velma Kincaid in 1944 at Roswell, N.M. She died in 1992. In 1950, he began working for Skaggs Alpha Beta Food and Drug. He became general manager and consultant in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. He returned to Amarillo in 1985 from Roswell, N.M. He became a resident of the Clairmont 12 years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Lundquist of Calumet, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Clairmont Residence Association. The body will not be available for viewing. Malcolm Nicholson Malcolm Nicholson, 86, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Richard Dickerson, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Cemetery Garden Mausoleum. Mr. Nicholson was born in Oxford, Miss. He graduated from the French Academy and entered the Army Air Corps before transferring to the Air Force, retiring as a major in 1960. In 1953, he was appointed as commissary officer for the first military commissary at Madrid, Spain. Mr. Nicholson moved to Amarillo in 1957 and was stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base where he served as base exchange officer, retiring in 1960. He then worked as a civil service manager, moving to Abilene in 1970. He returned to Amarillo in 1981. He was involved in ranching investments and real estate. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the King's Men Sunday School Class. He married Virginia Appleton in 1940 at Brady. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997 and by a son, Donald Lee Nicholson, in 1979. Survivors include his daughter, Vicky Boxwell of Amarillo; a sister, Ruby McCoy of DeKalb, Miss.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Josephine Banes Josephine Banes, 59, of Grand Prairie and a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, July 16, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Bean-MasseyBurge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Mrs. Banes was born in Lamesa and was a longtime Amarillo resident. She had lived in Grand Prairie for the past nine years. In Amarillo, she was a legal secretary for Ochsner & Baughman Law Firm for 14 years. In Dallas, Mrs. Banes was an employee of Ray Green & Associates for the past nine years. She was a member of the Legal Secretary Association, Paralegal Association and the Lakeside Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. She married James Robert Banes who died in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Teena Kabetzke of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Delene Warren of Amarillo and Sandra Lucas of Grand Prairie; a brother, George Bridges of Amarillo; and two grandsons. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Baptist Temple in Amarillo. She married Bill Fredrick in 1984 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jonathan Fredrick and Kristofer Fredrick, both of Amarillo; her mother, Frances Euler of Friona; and a brother, Bron Euler of Friona. She finished school there and was the assistant postmistress for several years. Ms. Hadley moved to Amarillo in 1930. In 1967, she retired as billing clerk from Kerr Paper Co. She was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. "Bob" Hadley. Survivors include a son, Donald R. Hadley of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four greatgreat grandchildren. The family will be at 124 N. Avondale and 4700 Virginia, No. 107. She attended Pampa High School at Pampa and Northlake Community College at Irving. She was employed by Pratt and Whitney at the time of her death. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home Inc., 11th Street and Hereford Highway. Mrs. Edwards was born in Levelland. She graduated from West Texas State University. She married Monnie Wayne Edwards in 1973 at Levelland. They lived in Littlefield, Stanton, Dimmitt and Temple before moving to Spearman in 1980. While living in Spearman, she worked for the city. They returned to Canyon in 1995 and she worked as a personnel assistant in the personnel office at West Texas A&M University. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and directed the children's choir. Survivors include three sons, Micah Wayne Edwards, Mason James Edwards and Mendell Brady Edwards, all of the home; a brother, Carroll McDonald of Wolfforth; and her mother, Earline McDonald of Levelland. Monnie Wayne Edwards Monnie Wayne Edwards, 46, of Canyon, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998. Burial will be at 3 p.m. today in Wheeler Cemetery at Wheeler. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home Inc., 11th Street and Hereford Highway. Mr. Edwards was born Pampa. He graduated from West Texas State University. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 26 years as a district conservationist. He married Marilyn Kay McDonald in 1973 at Levelland. They lived in Littlefield, Stanton, Dimmitt and Temple before moving to Spearman in 1980. In 1995, they returned to Canyon. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon. Survivors include three sons, Micah Wayne Edwards, Mason James Edwards and Mendell Brady Edwards, all of the home; his father and mother, Wayne and Joyce Edwards of Wheeler; and a brother, Marty, of Burkburnett.
